Description
本願は2006年2月24日出願の米国特許出願連続番号11/361,245号の優先権を主張するものであり、かかる特許出願の開示内容の全体はここに援用することにより本願の一部を成すものとする。
Claims (20)
- 動物の脛骨平準化截骨処置の一部として、動物の脛骨の2つの部位を互いに固着させるのに適した寸法に設定された骨プレートであって、前記骨プレートは、
複数の遠位部ネジ穴が設けられた長手シャフトが配備されており、前記遠位部ネジ穴の各々がネジを1本ずつ受入れるよう設計されている遠位部と、
上面と、前記上面の反対側の骨接触面とが設けられており、前記骨接触面を予め輪郭形成するにあたり、脛骨の一部位の外形に合致する形状および寸法に設定されるとともに、前記骨接触面の一部が円筒形状部によって輪郭が定められている近位部と、
前記近位部に配置されて、前記予め輪郭が形成された骨接触面を貫通して機械加工され、固定用ネジを受入れるように設計されている複数の近位部ネジ穴とを備えており、前記近位部ネジ穴に通して繋留される前記固定用ネジは、脛骨の一部位を貫通して進入して、到達点が定められたネジ経路を設けるようになってことを特徴とする、
骨プレート。 - 前記近位部は、到達点が定められたネジ経路を設ける第1の固定用ネジを受入れるよう設計された第1のネジ穴を有しており、前記ネジ経路は前記近位部の前記骨接触面から離れる向きに遠位方向に角度付けされることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の骨プレート。
- 前記第1の固定用ネジの前記ネジ経路は前記骨接触面から離れる向きに後方に角度付けされることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の骨プレート。
- 前記近位部は、前記第1のネジ穴よりも遠位方向であり、且つ、前方に配置された第2のネジ穴を有しており、前記第2のネジ穴は、到達点が定められたネジ経路を設ける第2の固定用ネジを受入れるよう設計されており、前記ネジ経路は前記骨接触面から離れる向きに後方に角度付けされることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の骨プレート。
- 前記近位部は、前記第1のネジ穴よりも遠位方向であり、且つ、後方に配置された第2のネジ穴を有しており、前記第2のネジ穴は、到達点が定められたネジ経路を設ける第2の固定用ネジを受入れるよう設計されており、前記ネジ経路は前記骨接触面から離れる向きに前方に角度付けされることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の骨プレート。
- 前記第1のネジ穴は上位ネジ穴であり、前記近位部は、前記第1のネジ穴よりも遠位方向であり、且つ、前方に配置されているとともに前固定用ネジを受入れるように設計された前ネジ穴を有しており、前記前固定用ネジは到達点が定められたネジ経路を設けるように進入し、前記ネジ経路は前記骨接触面から離れる向きに後方に角度付けされ、更に、前記近位部は、前記第1のネジ穴よりも遠位方向で尚且つ後方に配置されているとともに後固定用ネジを受入れるように設計された後ネジ穴を有しており、前記後固定用ネジは到達点が定められたネジ経路を設けるように進入し、前記ネジ経路は前記骨接触面から離れる向きに前方に角度付けされることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の骨プレート。
- 前記上位ネジ穴の前記ネジ経路は、前記骨接触面から離れる向きに後方に角度付けされることを更に特徴とする、請求項6に記載の骨プレート。
- 前記骨接触面は、円筒形状部の外形の輪郭に成形されていることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の骨プレート。
- 前記骨プレートの前記近位部の前記骨接触面の外郭の少なくとも一部を定めている前記円筒形状部の半径は、約18 mmから約24 mmの間であることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の骨プレート。
- 前記骨プレートの前記近位部の前記骨接触面の外郭の少なくとも一部を定めている前記円筒形状部の半径は、約22 mmから約30 mmの間であることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の骨プレート。
- 前記骨プレートの前記近位部の前記骨接触面の外郭の少なくとも一部を定めている前記円筒形状部の半径は、約12 mmから約20 mmの間であることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載の骨プレート。
- 動物の脛骨平準化截骨処置の一部として、脛骨の2つの部位を互いに固着させるのに適した骨プレートであって、前記骨プレートは、
複数のネジ穴が設けられた長手シャフトが配備されており、前記ネジ穴の各々がネジを1本ずつ受入れるよう設計されている遠位部と、
少なくとも3個のネジ穴が設けられており、前記ネジ穴の各々がネジを1本ずつ受入れるよう設計されている近位部とを備えており、前記3個のネジ穴のうち、第1ネジ穴は上位ネジ穴であり、第2ネジ穴は前ネジ穴であって、前記上位ネジ穴よりも遠位方向で尚且つ前方に配置されており、第3ネジ穴は後ネジ穴であって、前記上位ネジ穴よりも遠位方向で尚且つ後方に配置されていることを特徴とする、骨プレート。 - 前記前ネジ穴は前記上位ネジ穴より遠位方向に約3.5 mmから約6 mmの間の位置に配備されており、前記後ネジ穴は前記上位ネジ穴より遠位方向に約6 mmから約9 mmの間の位置に配備されていることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の骨プレート。
- 前記上位ネジ穴、前記前ネジ穴、および、前記後ネジ穴は各々が固定用ネジを1本ずつ受入れるように設計されていることを特徴とする、請求項13に記載の骨プレート。
- 前記前ネジ穴は前記上位ネジ穴より遠位方向に約2 mmから約4 mmの間の位置に配備されており、前記後ネジ穴は前記上位ネジ穴より遠位方向に約4 mmから約7 mmの間の位置に配備されていることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の骨プレート。
- 前記上位ネジ穴、前記前ネジ穴、および、前記後ネジ穴は各々が固定用ネジを1本ずつ受入れるように設計されていることを特徴とする、請求項15に記載の骨プレート。
- 前記前ネジ穴は前記上位ネジ穴より遠位方向に約5.5 mmから約9.5 mmの間の位置に配備されており、前記後ネジ穴は前記上位ネジ穴より遠位方向に約7.5 mmから約11.5 mmの間の位置に配備されていることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の骨プレート。
- 前記上位ネジ穴、前記前ネジ穴、および、前記後ネジ穴は各々が固定用ネジを1本ずつ受入れるように設計されていることを特徴とする、請求項17に記載の骨プレート。
- 脛骨高原平準化截骨処置を実施する方法であって、前記方法は、
外側面を有している第1脛骨部位を外側面を有している第2脛骨部位に固定するにあたり、前記第1部位の前記外側面および前記第2部位の前記外側面に骨プレートを固着させる段階を含んでおり、前記骨プレートは、
複数の遠位部ネジ穴が設けられた長手シャフトが配備されており、前記遠位部ネジ穴の各々がネジを1本ずつ受入れるよう設計されている遠位部と、
上面と、前記上面の反対側の骨接触面とが設けられており、前記骨接触面を予め輪郭形成するにあたり、脛骨の第1部位の外形に合致する形状および寸法に設定されるとともに、前記骨接触面の一部が円筒形状部によって輪郭が定められている近位部と、
前記近位部に配置されて、前記予め輪郭形成された骨接触面を貫通して機械加工され、固定用ネジを受入れるように設計されている複数の近位部ネジ穴とを備えており、前記近位部ネジ穴に通して繋留される前記固定用ネジは、脛骨の前記第1部位を貫通して進入して、到達点が定められたネジ経路を設けることになることを特徴とする方法。 - 脛骨高原平準化截骨処置のキットであって、前記キットは、
(1)動物の脛骨平準化截骨処置の一部として、動物の脛骨の2つの部位を互いに固着させるのに適した寸法に設定された骨プレートを備えており、前記骨プレートには、
複数の遠位部ネジ穴が設けられた長手シャフトが配備されており、前記遠位部ネジ穴の各々がネジを1本ずつ受入れるよう設計されている遠位部と、
上面と、前記上面に対向する骨接触面とが設けられており、前記骨接触面を予め輪郭形成するにあたり、脛骨の一部位の外形に合致する形状および寸法に設定されるとともに、前記骨接触面の一部が円筒形状部によって輪郭が定められれている近位部と、
前記近位部に配置されて、前記予め輪郭形成された骨接触面を貫通して機械加工され、固定用ネジを受入れるように設計されている複数の近位部ネジ穴とが設けられており、前記近位部ネジ穴に通して繋留される前記固定用ネジは、脛骨の一部位を貫通して進入して、到達点が定められたネジ経路を設けることになり、
前記キットは、更に、
(2)前記近位部ネジ穴の内側に螺合するのに適した構成の複数の固定用骨ネジを備えている、
ことを特徴とする脛骨高原平準化截骨処置のキット。
