Abstract
【解決手段】 本発明のインクジェット印刷用紙用塗布剤は、アミジン構造単位を5〜67モル%、酸アミド基構造0〜85モル%、シアノ基構造単位を5〜35モル%および一級アミン塩基構造単位を0〜55モル%含有するポリアミジン系高分子からなる。この水溶性高分子は、(メタ)アクリルアミドと(メタ)アクリロニトリルの共重合物をホフマン反応後、酸で中和するとともに加熱処理して製造することができる。

(2)インクドットが重なった際に、後で付着したインクが前のドットに流れ出さないこと。
(3)インクドットの形状が真円に近く、またその周囲が滑らかであること。
(4)インクドットの径が必要以上に大きくならないこと。
(5)インクドットの濃度が高く、ドットの周辺がぼけないこと。
(6)インクの発色性が優れたものであること。
などの諸要求を満たすことが必要である。また耐水性、耐光性も同時に必要である。記録画像の耐水性向上にはカチオン性高分子を塗工層中に含有させる方法が採られている。たとえばポリエチレンイミン(特許文献1)、ジメチルジアリルアンモニウムクロライド(特許文献2)、ポリアリルアミン塩酸塩(特許文献3)、ポリビニルアミンホモポリマー(特許文献4)などが開示されている。しかしこれらの高分子化合物はある程度耐水性を向上させるものの、耐光性の向上はまだ不充分である。アミジン系水溶性高分子をインクジェット用紙塗布剤に応用した例も出願されている(特許文献5)。この水溶性高分子は、耐水性に優れ、また一定の耐光性を備えている。一番の問題点は、原料であるN−ビニルホルムアミドのコストが掛かることである。現在この水溶性高分子は、N―ビニルホルムアミドと(メタ)アクリロニトリルの共重合物を酸性雰囲気中で加水分解と加熱処理することにより製造する方法が採られている(特許文献6)。しかしこの方法は、N―ビニルホルムアミドの価格が高く、製造コストが上がることが問題である。

Claims (4)
- (メタ)アクリルアミドと(メタ)アクリロニトリルの共重合物をホフマン反応後、酸で中和するとともに加熱処理することからなる、下記式(1)および/または式(2)で表される繰り返し単位を5〜67モル%、下記式(3)で表される繰り返し単位を0〜85モル%、下記式(4)で表される繰り返し単位を5〜35モル%および下記式(5)で表される繰り返し単位を0〜55モル%から構成される水溶性高分子を含有するインクジェット用紙塗布剤。
式中R1 ,R2 は水素原子またはメチル基を、X- は陰イオンを表わす。 - 前記(メタ)アクリルアミドと(メタ)アクリロニトリルの共重合物が(メタ)アクリルアミド60〜90モル%、(メタ)アクリロニトリル40〜10モル%からなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のインクジェット用紙塗布剤。
- 前記酸が、塩酸であることを特徴とする請求項1あるいは2に記載のインクジェット用紙塗布剤。
- 前記中和をpH0.5〜4の範囲で実施することを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のインクジェット用紙塗布剤。
