Abstract
【課題】 充電レート特性、ならびにサイクル特性が向上したリチウムイオン二次電池を提供する。
【解決手段】 複数種の負極活物質を用い、負極集電体1に近い側の第一の負極層2aに比べ遠い側の第二の負極層2bが充電レート特性が高い。

Description
図1は、本発明のリチウムイオン二次電池の負極電極の構成を説明する断面図である。負極集電体1上に第一の負極層2aが形成され、第一の負極層2a上に第二の負極層2bが形成された構造となっている。第一の負極層2aは負極活物質として比表面積1.0m2/gの人造黒鉛を95重量部、導電助剤としてカーボンブラックを2重量部、結着剤としてPVdFを3重量部となるように混合し、これをNMP溶液と混合してスラリーを調製し、このスラリーを厚さ20μmの銅製の負極集電体1の両面にドクターブレード法により塗布して得た。第二の負極層2bは負極活物質として比表面積3.5m2/gの天然黒鉛を95重量部、導電助剤としてカーボンブラックを2重量部、結着剤としてPVdFを3重量部となるように混合し、これをNMP溶液と混合してスラリーを調製し、上述した第一の負極層2aの上にドクターブレード法により第二の負極層2bを塗布し、負極層2を形成した。なお、第一の負極層/第二の負極層の塗布量の重量比は25/75とした。
第一の負極層、第二の負極層の塗布量をそれぞれ50%としたほかは、実施例1と同様の作製方法によりリチウムイオン二次電池を作製した。
第一の負極層の塗布量を10%、第二の負極層の塗布量を90%としたほかは、実施例1と同様の作製方法によりリチウムイオン二次電池を作製した。
第一の負極層の塗布量を70%、第二の負極層の塗布量を30%としたほかは、実施例1と同様の作製方法によりリチウムイオン二次電池を作製した。
図2は、従来のリチウムイオン二次電池の負極電極の構成を説明する断面図である。負極集電体1上に負極層2が形成された構造となっている。ここでは実施例1において第一の負極層の塗布量を100%としたほかは、実施例1と同様の作製方法によりリチウムイオン二次電池を作製した。
第二の負極層の塗布量を100%としたほかは、実施例1と同様の作製方法によりリチウムイオン二次電池を作製した。

Claims (3)
- 正極電極と負極電極をセパレータを介して積層、巻回したリチウムイオン二次電池において、負極集電体上に複数の負極層を有し、前記負極集電体に近い側の負極層に比較して、前記負極集電体から遠い側の負極層の充電レート特性が高いことを特徴とするリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 負極集電体上に二層の負極層を有し、前記負極集電体に近い側の第一の負極層の負極活物質が人造黒鉛を有し、前記負極集電体から遠い側の第二の負極層の負極活物質が天然黒鉛を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
- 前記第一の負極層と第二の負極層の塗布量の比(第一の負極層の塗布量/第二の負極層の塗布量)が10/90から70/30の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池。
