Abstract
Description
本発明は、(a)水酸基含有ポリマー、(b)非重合性ポリ酸及びその塩、無水物、及び非重合性ポリアルデヒドよりなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種の多官能性架橋剤、及び場合により、 (c)触媒を含む硬化性水性組成物であって、該成分(a)の該成分(b)に対する重量比が、95/5〜約35/65であり、pHが、1.25以上であることを特徴とする硬化性水性組成物に関する。
本発明の1つの態様によれば、(a)水酸基含有ポリマー、(b)非重合性ポリ酸及びその塩、無水物、及び非重合性ポリアルデヒドよりなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種の多官能性架橋剤、及び場合により、 (c)触媒を含む硬化性水性組成物であって、該成分(a)の該成分(b)に対する重量比(a)/(b)が、95/5〜約35/65であり、pHが、1.25以上であることを特徴とする硬化性水性組成物が提供される。重量比(a)/(b)は、80/20〜45/55であることが好ましく、65/35〜50/50であることが最も好ましい。

Claims (24)
- (a) ポリビニルアルコールと、デンプン、変性デンプン及び糖よりなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種とを含んでなる水酸基含有ポリマー、
(b) 非重合性ポリ酸及びその塩、無水物、及び非重合性ポリアルデヒドよりなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種の多官能性架橋剤、及び場合により、
(c) 触媒
を混合することにより得られる硬化性水性組成物であって、
該成分(a)の該成分(b)に対する重量比が、95/5〜約35/65であり、
pHが、1.25以上
であることを特徴とする硬化性水性組成物。 - pHが、約2.5〜約6.5であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の硬化性水性組成物。
- 該多官能性架橋剤が、非重合性ポリ酸及びその塩、及び無水物よりなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種である場合、該硬化性水性組成物のpHが、3.0〜4.0の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の硬化性水性組成物。
- 該ポリビニルアルコールの数平均分子量が、7,000を超すことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の硬化性水性組成物。
- 該ポリビニルアルコールの数平均分子量が、12,000〜85,000の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の硬化性水性組成物。
- 該ポリビニルアルコールの数平均分子量が、13,000〜45,000の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の硬化性水性組成物。
- 不揮発成分含量が、30重量%を超すことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の硬化性水性組成物。
- 不揮発成分含量が、32〜43重量%であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の硬化性水性組成物。
- 該水酸基含有ポリマーが、ポリビニルアルコールとデンプンとを含んでなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の硬化性水性組成物。
- 該ポリビニルアルコールが、ポリビニルアセテート又はエテノール/ビニルアセテート共重合体を、70〜99モル%加水分解して得られたものであることを特徴とする請求項19に記載の硬化性水性組成物。
- 4%水溶液中、20℃で測定した、該水酸基含有ポリマーの粘度が、10cps以下であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の硬化性水性組成物。
- 該多官能性架橋剤が、末端封止された非重合性ポリアルデヒドであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の硬化性水性組成物。
- 該非重合性ポリアルデヒドが、尿素、エチレン尿素、ソルビトール及びエチレングリコールよりなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種の末端封止剤によって封止されていることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の硬化性水性組成物。
- 不織繊維を、バインダーとしてのクレーム1に記載の硬化性水性組成物と混合して混合物を得る工程、及び得られた混合物を硬化させる工程を包含する方法により得られる、硬化したバインダー中に不織繊維が含まれてなる硬化組成物。
- 該混合物を硬化させる前に、該硬化性水性組成物を水で希釈することにより、該組成物の不揮発成分含量を5重量%にする工程を更に包含する方法によって得られることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の硬化組成物。
- 該不織繊維が、ガラス繊維であることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の硬化組成物。
- (a) ポリビニルアルコールと、デンプン、変性デンプン及び糖よりなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種とを含んでなる水酸基含有ポリマー、
(b) 非重合性ポリ酸及びその塩、無水物、及び非重合性ポリアルデヒドよりなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一種の多官能性架橋剤、及び場合により、
(c) 触媒
を混合することを包含する、硬化性水性組成物の製造方法であって、
但し、該硬化性水性組成物のpHが、1.25未満の場合には、塩基を加えることにより、pHを1.25以上に上昇させ、
該成分(a)の該成分(b)に対する重量比が、95/5〜約35/65である、
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 該多官能性架橋剤が、末端封止された非重合性ポリアルデヒド又は無水物であることを特徴とする請求項17に記載の方法。
- 該ポリビニルアルコールの数平均分子量が、7,000を超すことを特徴とする請求項17に記載の方法。
- 該多官能性架橋剤が、非重合性ポリ酸及びその塩、及び無水物よりなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種であって、該組成物に塩基を添加することにより、組成物のpHを3.0〜4.0に調節することを更に包含することを特徴とする請求項17に記載の方法。
- (a) ポリビニルアルコールと、デンプン、変性デンプン及び糖よりなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1種とを含んでなる水酸基含有ポリマー、
(b) 非重合性ポリ酸及びその塩、無水物、及び非重合性ポリアルデヒドよりなる群から選ばれる少なくとも一種の多官能性架橋剤、及び場合により、
(c) 触媒、
を混合することにより硬化性水性組成を得る工程、
但し、該硬化性水性組成物のpHが、1.25未満の場合には、塩基を加えることにより、pHを1.25以上に上昇させ、
得られた硬化性水性組成物を不織繊維と混合して混合物を得る工程、及び
得られた混合物を、130〜250℃で加熱して、混合物を硬化させる工程
を包含する不織材料の製造方法であって、
該成分(a)の該成分(b)に対する重量比が、95/5〜約35/65である、
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 加熱工程の前に、該硬化性水性組成物を水で希釈することにより、硬化性水性組成物の含水率を95重量%にする工程を更に包含することを特徴とする請求項21に記載の方法。
- 該不織繊維が、ガラス繊維であることを特徴とする請求項21に記載の方法。
- 該多官能性架橋剤が、非重合性ポリ酸及びその塩、及び無水物よりなる群から選ばれ、塩基を添加することによりpHを3.0〜4.0に調節することを特徴とする請求項21に記載の方法。
