Claims (22)
- 基板と、
前記基板上に配置され、第1のプロトコルに従う第1のデータ層と、
前記基板上に支持され、第2のプロトコルに従う第2のデータ層と、
前記第1の層及び第2の層の上に配置された透明保護層と、
を備えるマルチフォーマット光ディスク。 - 前記第1のデータ層が標準的なDVDプロトコルに従い、前記第2のデータ層が高容量プロトコルに従う、請求項1に記載の光ディスク。
- 前記二つのデータ層が、二つの異なるタイプの高容量プロトコルに従う、請求項1に記載のディスク。
- 第1のデータ層が標準的なHD−DVDプロトコルに従い、前記第2のデータ層がBDプロトコルに従う、請求項1に記載のディスク。
- 前記二つのデータ層が重なり合う、請求項1に記載のディスク。
- 前記第1のデータ層が、第2のデータ層を特徴付けるデータを含む、請求項1に記載のディスク。
- 前記第1のデータ層が、前記第2のプロトコルを表わすテキスト及びオーディオファイルのうちの一方を含む、請求項6に記載のディスク。
- 第3のデータ層を更に備え、三つの前記データ層が異なるプロトコルに従う、請求項1に記載のディスク。
- 第3の層を更に備え、前記層のうちの一つが一つのプロトコルに従い、他の二つの層が第2のプロトコルに従う、請求項1に記載のディスク。
- 第1の側及び第2の側をもつ基板を有する支持層と、
前記第1の側に配置され、第1のプロトコルに従う第1のデータ層と、
前記第2の側に配置され、第2のプロトコルに従う第2のデータ層と、
を備え、
前記第1のプロトコル及び第2のプロトコルのうちの少なくとも一方が、HD−DVDプロトコル及びBDプロトコルのうちの一つを含む高容量プロトコルである、
マルチフォーマット光ディスク。 - 前記データ層のうちの一つが、標準的なDVDプロトコルに従う、請求項10に記載の光ディスク。
- 前記データ層のうちの一つが、CDプロトコルに従う、請求項10に記載の光ディスク。
- 前記第1の側に配置された第3のデータ層を更に備える、請求項10に記載の光ディスク。
- 前記第3のデータ層が、標準的なDVDプロトコル及び高容量プロトコルのうちの一つに従う、請求項13に記載の光ディスク。
- 前記第1のデータ層及び第3のデータ層が重なり合う、請求項13に記載の光ディスク。
- 前記基板が、物理フォーマット、論理フォーマット、及びアプリケーションフォーマットのうちの一つに従い、前記フォーマットがDVDフォーマット、HDフォーマット、及び、BDフォーマットから選択される、請求項10に記載の光ディスク。
- 前記層のうちの一つが第1のフォーマットに従い、残りの層のうちの少なくとも一つが第2のフォーマットに従う、請求項16に記載の光ディスク。
- 第1のプロトコルに従う第1のデータ層及び第2のプロトコルに従う第2のデータ層を含む複数のデータ層を有する光ディスクを再生するプレーヤであって、
前記第1のデータ層及び前記第2のデータ層のデータを含む前記光ディスク上のデータを検出するデータ検出器と、
前記データ検出器に結合されており、双方のデータ層からのデータの存在に基づいて該プレーヤを動作させるようになっているコントローラと、
を備えるプレーヤ。 - 前記データコントローラが、DVDプロトコル、HDプロトコル、及びBDプロトコルから成る群から選択される幾つかのプロトコルに従うデータを検出するようになっている、請求項18に記載のプレーヤ。
- 前記第1のプロトコルが低容量プロトコルであり、前記第2のプロトコルが、HD−DVDプロトコル、及びBDプロトコルのうちの一つから選択される高容量プロトコルである、請求項17に記載のプレーヤ。
- 基板と、
前記基板の同じ側に配置されており、SD DVD−9ディスクの物理フォーマットに従う第1のデータ層及び第2のデータ層であって、該第1のデータ層が、BDフォーマット、HD−DVDフォーマット、及びSDフォーマットから成る群から選択されるアプリケーションフォーマットを有し、前記第2のデータ層が、同じ群から選択される異なるアプリケーションフォーマットを有する、該第1のデータ層及び第2のデータ層と、
前記第1の層及び第2の層の上に配置された透明保護層と、
を備えるマルチフォーマット光ディスク。 - 基板と、
前記基板の同じ側に配置されており、SD DVDの物理フォーマットに従う第1のデータ層及び第2のデータ層であって、該第1のデータ層が、BDフォーマット、HD−DVDフォーマット、及び、SDフォーマットから成る群から選択されるアプリケーションフォーマットを有し、前記第2のデータ層が、同じ群から選択される異なるアプリケーションフォーマットを有する、該第1のデータ層及び第2のデータ層と、
前記第1の層及び第2の層の上に配置された透明保護層と、
を備えるマルチフォーマット光ディスク。
