Claims (7)
- 記録担体の入射面を通って入射する放射線ビームによって記録層上のトラックにマークを書き込むことにより情報を記録するための書き込み可能なタイプの記録担体であって、前記マークは前記放射線ビームによる前記トラックの走査の間に検出可能であり、前記記録担体は、
少なくとも第1の記録層及び第2の記録層を有し、前記第1の記録層は前記第2の記録層よりも前記入射面に近い位置に存在し、
前記記録担体は更に、前記記録層間に透明なスペーサ層を有し、
各前記記録層は、前記トラックの位置を示すプリグルーブを有し、前記プリグルーブは、前記トラックの長さ方向に対する横方向における前記プリグルーブの変位によって構成されるウォブルを呈し、前記ウォブルは、制御情報を表すウォブル変調を呈し、
前記第1の記録層上のプリグルーブが第1の方向に螺旋状に延在し、前記第2の記録層上のプリグルーブが前記第1の方向とは逆の第2の方向に螺旋状に延在し、これらプリグルーブが中間ゾーンにより分離された多部分の記録エリアを構成し、前記中間ゾーンは、前記第1の記録層の末尾に配置された第1の中間部分と、前記第2の記録層の先頭に配置された第2の中間部分とによって物理的に構成され、前記記録エリアは、前記第1の記録層の先頭に配置されたリードインゾーンによって先行され、且つ前記第2の記録層の末尾に配置されたリードアウトゾーン又は他の中間ゾーンから成る末尾部分によって後続され、
前記リードインゾーン内の前記プリグルーブの前記ウォブルは、前記第1の記録層上の前記トラックに情報を記録するための記録処理の記録パラメータを含む第1の制御情報を表すウォブル変調を呈し、
前記末尾部分内の前記プリグルーブの前記ウォブルは、前記第2の記録層上の前記トラックに情報を記録するための記録処理の記録パラメータを含む第2の制御情報を表すウォブル変調を呈し、
前記第2の記録層上の前記末尾部分は、ほぼ、前記第1の記録層上の前記リードインゾーンの終了径位置に対応する径位置と、前記第1の記録層上の前記リードインゾーンの開始径位置に対応する径位置との間に配置される記録担体。 - 前記第1の記録層における前記終了径位置は、前記第2の記録層における、前記第2の制御情報を表す前記プリグルーブの前記ウォブルの前記ウォブル変調が開始する径位置に対応する、請求項1に記載の記録担体。
- 放射線ビームによって請求項1に記載の記録担体上のトラックを走査する装置であって、前記放射線ビームは前記記録担体の入射面を通って入射し、前記装置は、
前記放射線ビームを供給するためのヘッドと、
前記放射線ビームによって前記トラックにマークを書き込むための記録手段と、
前記トラックにおけるマークを検出するための走査信号を生成するためのフロントエンドユニットと、
前記リードインゾーン内の前記プリグルーブの前記ウォブルの前記ウォブル変調から前記第1の制御情報を取得し、前記第2の記録層上の前記末尾部分内の前記プリグルーブの前記ウォブルの前記ウォブル変調から前記第2の制御情報を取得するウォブル検出手段と、
を有する装置。 - 前記装置は、前記記録担体の挿入の後に初期化手順を実行するための制御ユニットを有し、前記初期化手順において、前記第1の制御情報が前記リードインゾーンに記録され、前記第2の制御情報が前記末尾部分に記録される、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記装置は、前記記録担体の挿入の後に初期化手順を実行するための制御ユニットを有し、前記初期化手順において、前記第1の制御情報及び前記第2の制御情報が前記リードインゾーンに記録される、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記装置は、前記記録担体の挿入の後に初期化手順を実行するための制御ユニットを有し、前記初期化手順において、前記第1の制御情報が前記リードインゾーンに記録され、前記第2の制御情報が前記リードインゾーンと前記末尾部分とに記録される、請求項3に記載の装置。
- 前記装置は、前記記録担体の挿入の後に初期化手順を実行するための制御ユニットを有し、前記初期化手順において、前記第1の制御情報が前記リードインゾーンと前記末尾部分とに記録され、前記第2の制御情報が前記リードインゾーンと前記末尾部分とに記録される、請求項3に記載の装置。
