Description
− 第1の層と、予め規定された記録フォーマットに従ってユーザデータが最初に記録される、第1の層上の位置を示す第1の半径方向位置とを決定すること、および
− 上記の第1の半径方向位置において、記録担体の第2の層上へのダミーデータの書込みを開始すること
により、多層記録担体のデアイシング処理を行うように構成されている装置によって、上記の目的が達成される。
− 第1の層と、予め規定された記録フォーマットに従ってユーザデータが最初に記録される、第1の層上の位置を示す第1の半径方向位置とを決定すること、および
− 上記の第1の半径方向位置において、記録担体の第2の層上へのダミーデータの書込みを開始すること
により、多層記録担体のデアイシング処理を行う工程を含んでいることを特徴とする方法によって、上記の目的が達成される。
Claims (1)
- データの記録および取出しのために、光学的に書換可能なタイプの記録担体をフォーマットする方法であって、
ユーザデータ領域を規定する予め規定された記録フォーマットに従って、前記記録担体のフォーマット処理を行う工程であって、該フォーマット処理が、前記ユーザデータ領域内の位置が未記録である際に、該位置にダミーデータを書き込むことによるデアイシング処理を含むものである工程を含み、
前記フォーマット処理を行う工程が、
− 第1の層と、前記予め規定された記録フォーマットに従ってユーザデータが最初に記録される、前記第1の層上の位置を示す第1の半径方向位置とを決定すること、および
−前記第1の半径方向位置において開始する、前記記録担体の第2の層上への前記ダミーデータの書込みを行なうこと
により、多層記録担体のデアイシング処理を行う工程を含み、
前記デアイシング処理を行う工程において、前記第1の層がユーザデータで記録済みの領域を有する場合、前記第2の層上の書込済領域が、前記第1の層上の前記記録済みの領域より予め決められた量大きくされる、ことを特徴とする方法。
