Abstract
【解決手段】基材上に、少なくとも1層のインク受容層と、当該インク受容層上に形成された光沢層とを有するインクジェット記録用紙において、前記光沢層がアセトアセチル化ポリビニルアルコール及び保水剤を含有する。前記保水剤としては、セルロース誘導体が好ましく、アルデヒド変性ヒドロキシエチルセルロースがより好ましい。また、前記光沢層上に設けた最表層がジアミン系化合物を含有することが好ましい。

Description
前記光沢層がアセトアセチル化ポリビニルアルコール及び保水剤を含有することを特徴とするインクジェット記録用紙である。
また、前記光沢層上に設けた最表層がジアミン系化合物を含有することが好ましい。
前記顔料としては特に限定されないが、例えば、非晶質シリカ、コロイダルシリカ、アルミナ、クレー、炭酸カルシウム、タルク、炭酸マグネシウム、過硫酸バリウム、珪酸マグネシウム等の無機顔料が挙げられる。特に非晶質シリカは細孔容積が大きいためインク吸収性が良好であり、好ましい。
光沢層に含まれる顔料としては、前記インク受容層と同様の顔料を使用することができるが、特に、気相法により生成された非晶質シリカが、顔料インクの定着性が良好で好ましい。粒子の大きさは特に限定されないが、長径は100〜200nm程度でよい。その他の顔料としてはコロイダルシリカ、アルミナ、クレー、炭酸カルシウム、タルク、炭酸マグネシウム、過硫酸バリウム、珪酸マグネシウム等を使用することができる。
1.基材
原料として広葉樹晒クラフトパルプ100%のパルプを使用し、フリーネスを370mlとした。紙力剤、サイズ剤を絶乾パルプ1tに対してそれぞれ有効成分基準で5kgずつ内添し、填料としてタルクを灰分13重量%となるよう内添した。長網抄紙機で抄造・乾燥後、サイズプレスを用いて酸化澱粉を乾燥重量3.0g/m2となるよう塗工し、米坪157g/m2の基材を得た。
非晶質シリカ(グレース社製、品番:ED5)100重量部に対して、バインダーとしてスチレン−アクリル酸共重合樹脂(日本NSC社製、品番:KE35)30重量部を含む塗工液を調製し、これを、前記基材の表面に、乾燥重量10g/m2となるよう塗工した。なお、各部数は有効成分基準の数字である。(以下も同様)
気相法シリカ(日本アエロジル社製、品番:アエロジル300)100重量部に対して、バインダーとしてアセトアセチル化ポリビニルアルコール(日本合成化学社製、品番:ゴーセファイマーZ410、ケン化度99%、重合度2100)を20重量部、及び、保水剤としてアルデヒド変性ヒドロキシエチルセルロース(三昌社製、品番:SANHEC−HH)を2重量部添加した塗工液を調製し、これを、前記インク受容層の塗工・乾燥後の表面に、光沢層として、乾燥重量10g/m2となるよう塗工した。
上記によって製造したインクジェット記録用紙について、以下のとおり測定・評価を行った。結果を以下の表1に示す。
顔料インク適性を測定、評価するにあたっては、エプソン社製のインクジェットプリンタ、品番:PX−G930を使用した。
印字後の印面の曇りについて下記基準で目視評価した。
◎:全く曇りはなく、鮮明な印面が得られた。
〇:曇りはほとんどなく、良好な印面が得られた。
×:部分的に曇りが見られ、印面がぼやけていた。
ベタ印字部分について、インク濃度ムラの有無を下記基準で目視評価した。
◎:インク濃度のムラは見られず、鮮明な印面であった。
〇:インク濃度ムラがほとんどなく、均一な印面であった。
×:インク濃度ムラが見られ、不均一な印面であった。
ベタ印字部分について、印字濃度を下記基準で目視評価した。
◎:インクの沈みがなく、高い印字濃度が得られた。
〇:若干のインク沈みがあるが、十分な印字濃度が得られた。
×:インクの沈みにより印字濃度が低かった。
製造後の用紙についてひび割れを下記基準で、目視及び25倍拡大鏡によって評価した。
◎:目視及び拡大鏡でひび割れは確認できなかった。
〇:拡大鏡ではわずかに見えたが、目視では確認できなかった。
×:目視でひび割れが見えた。
Claims (4)
- 基材上に、少なくとも1層のインク受容層と、当該インク受容層上に形成された光沢層とを有するインクジェット記録用紙であって、
前記光沢層がアセトアセチル化ポリビニルアルコール及び保水剤を含有することを特徴とするインクジェット記録用紙。 - 前記保水剤がセルロース誘導体であることを特徴とする請求項1記載のインクジェット記録用紙。
- 前記光沢層上に設けた最表層がジアミン系化合物を含有することを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載のインクジェット記録用紙。
- 前記セルロース誘導体がアルデヒド変性ヒドロキシエチルセルロースであることを特徴とする請求項2又は3記載のインクジェット記録用紙。
