Abstract
【解決手段】鋼板の片面または両面に、無機酸化物と、酸成分と、金属または金属化合物とを含む処理液を塗布し、加熱乾燥して前記酸成分と、前記金属または金属化合物との反応生成物中に前記無機酸化物の無機原子が溶解して一部固溶体を形成してなる被膜を成膜し、次いで、前記被膜上にポリブタジエンとフェノール樹脂とを溶剤に溶解してなるプライマー溶液を塗布し、乾燥させてプライマー層を形成し、次いで、前記プライマー層上にゴム層を形成する。

Description
(1)車両のエンジンに装着されるガスケット用の素材を製造する方法であって、鋼板の片面または両面に、無機酸化物と、酸成分と、金属または金属化合物とを含む処理液を塗布し、加熱乾燥して前記酸成分と、前記金属または金属化合物との反応生成物中に前記無機酸化物の無機原子が溶解して一部固溶体を形成してなる被膜を成膜し、次いで、前記被膜上にポリブタジエンとフェノール樹脂とを溶剤に溶解してなるプライマー溶液を塗布し、乾燥させてプライマー層を形成し、次いで、前記プライマー層上にゴム層を形成することを特徴とするガスケット用素材の製造方法。
(2)無機酸化物が、液相シリカ、気相シリカ、液相ジルコニア、気相ジルコニア、液相チタニア及び気相チタニアから選ばれる少なくとも1種であることを特徴とする上記(1)記載のガスケット用素材の製造方法。
(3)ポリブタジエンが、マレイン変性ポリブタジエン、エポキシ変性ポリブタジエン、ウレタン変性ポリブタジエンまたはアクリル変性ポリブタジエンから選ばれる少なくとも1種であることを特徴とする上記(1)または(2)記載のガスケット用素材の製造方法。
(4)上記(1)〜(3)の何れか1項に記載の製造方法により得られ、鋼板の片面または両面に、酸成分と、金属または金属化合物との反応生成物中に無機酸化物の無機原子が溶解して一部固溶体を形成してなる被膜上に、ポリブタジエンとフェノール樹脂とからなるプライマー層を介してゴム層が形成されていることを特徴とするガスケット用素材。
(1)プライマー層に含まれるポリブタジエンまたは変性ポリブタジエンにより、不凍液に対する該プライマー層の耐性が高まる。
(2)ポリブタジエンまたは変性ポリブタジエン、フェノール樹脂が、被膜中の無機酸化物と強固に結合する。
(3)酸成分と金属または金属化合物とからなる反応生成物が、高温の不凍液で分解されず鋼板との結合を強固に維持する。
ステンレス鋼板の両面に、ロールコーターで表1に示す配合の処理液を塗布し、塗膜を180℃で乾燥させ被膜を形成した。尚、被膜量は何れも50〜90mg/m2の範囲である。次いで、被膜またはステンレス鋼板(比較例1)の上に、表1に示す配合のプライマー溶液を塗布し、塗膜を180℃で乾燥させプライマー層を形成した。次いで、プライマー層の上に、ニトリルゴムを溶剤で溶かした液をロールコーターにて塗布し、180℃で10分間加硫接着させてゴム層を形成して試料とした。
1.高温不凍液に対する耐久性
自動車ラジエター用クーラント液(トヨタ純正ロングライフクーラント)の液面に対して垂直となるように、上記で作製した試料を浸漬し、液温170℃で500時間放置した。そして、クーラント液から試料を取り出し、下記に示す碁盤目剥離試験及び描画試験を行った。
JIS−K5400に準拠し、下記に示す手順にて行った。
(1)試料の両面に隙間間隔2mmの碁盤目状の切り傷を付け、碁盤目が100個できるようにする。
(2)碁盤目の上に粘着テープを張り付け、消しゴムで擦って粘着テープを完全に付着させる。
(3)テープ付着1〜2分後に、粘着テープの一方の端を持ち、試料表面に対して垂直方向に瞬間的に引き剥がす。
(4)引き剥がした後の試料表面を観察し、残存する碁盤目の数を数える。
結果を、表2の「耐高温不凍液性」の「碁盤目剥離試験」の欄に示す。欄中の「/」の左右の数値は、各面(表面/裏面)での残存数を示しており、例えば100とあるのは、テープを引き剥がしたときに一つも剥離しないことを示し、50とあるのは半分の50個が剥離したことを示す。
JIS−K6894に規定される描画試験機を用い、試料の一方の面に半径4.5mmの螺旋を25回描き、下記の基準にて評価した。結果を、表2の「耐高温不凍液性」の「描画試験」の欄に示す。
<評価基準>
5点:ゴム層が完全に残存している.
4点:ゴム層が一部脱落している
3点:ゴム層の約半分が脱落している
2点:ゴム層がわずかに残存している
1点:ゴム層が完全に脱落している
作製した試料を200℃で500時間加熱放置し、その後、上記と同様の碁盤目剥離試験を行った。結果を表2の「耐熱性」の欄に示した。
Claims (4)
- 車両のエンジンに装着されるガスケット用の素材を製造する方法であって、
鋼板の片面または両面に、無機酸化物と、酸成分と、金属または金属化合物とを含む処理液を塗布し、加熱乾燥して前記酸成分と、前記金属または金属化合物との反応生成物中に前記無機酸化物の無機原子が溶解して一部固溶体を形成してなる被膜を成膜し、次いで、前記被膜上にポリブタジエンとフェノール樹脂とを溶剤に溶解してなるプライマー溶液を塗布し、乾燥させてプライマー層を形成し、次いで、前記プライマー層上にゴム層を形成することを特徴とするガスケット用素材の製造方法。 - 無機酸化物が、液相シリカ、気相シリカ、液相ジルコニア、気相ジルコニア、液相チタニア及び気相チタニアから選ばれる少なくとも1種であることを特徴とする請求項1記載のガスケット用素材の製造方法。
- ポリブタジエンが、マレイン変性ポリブタジエン、エポキシ変性ポリブタジエン、ウレタン変性ポリブタジエンまたはアクリル変性ポリブタジエンから選ばれる少なくとも1種であることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載のガスケット用素材の製造方法。
- 請求項1〜3の何れか1項に記載の製造方法により得られ、鋼板の片面または両面に、酸成分と、金属または金属化合物との反応生成物中に無機酸化物の無機原子が溶解して一部固溶体を形成してなる被膜上に、ポリブタジエンとフェノール樹脂とからなるプライマー層を介してゴム層が形成されていることを特徴とするガスケット用素材。
