Description
すなわち、本発明(1)は、少なくとも、金属板からなる基材と、該基材の片側又は両側の表面に形成されている金属表面コーティング層と、該金属表面コーティング剤を介して形成されているゴム層と、を有し、
該金属表面コーティング層は、(A)Mg炭酸塩、Co炭酸塩、Zr炭酸塩、Mn炭酸塩、Ni炭酸塩及びCu炭酸塩からなる群から選ばれる1種以上の炭酸塩と、(B)シリカ、アルミナ、ジルコニア及びチタニアからなる群から選ばれる1種以上と、を含有すること、
を特徴とするガスケット用素材を提供するものである。
該金属表面コーティング層は、(A)Mg炭酸塩、Co炭酸塩、Zr炭酸塩、Mn炭酸塩、Ni炭酸塩及びCu炭酸塩からなる群から選ばれる1種以上の炭酸塩と、(B)シリカ、アルミナ、ジルコニア及びチタニアからなる群から選ばれる1種以上と、を含有すること、
を特徴とするガスケット用素材である。
(1)表1に示す金属表面コーティング層形成用処理液を、ロールコーターを用いて、B成分が固形分換算で片面あたり300mg/m2となるように塗布した後、加熱処理して、基材の表面に金属表面コーティング層を形成させた。
(2)次いで、上記で形成させた金属表面コーティング層の表面全面に、フェノール樹脂を有機溶剤(メチルエチルケトンMEK)で固形分濃度が10%になるように溶解したプライマー層形成用樹脂液を、ロールコーターを用いて、片面あたり150mg/m2塗布した後、加熱して硬化させて、金属表面コーティング層の表面にプライマー層を形成させた。
(3)次いで、上記で形成させたプライマー層の表面全面に、表1に示すゴム組成物と有機溶剤(メチルエチルケトンMEK)とを、固形分濃度が40質量%となるように、混合し、ゴム組成物液を得た。次いで、得られたゴム組成物液を、ロールコーターを用いて、ゴム層の厚みが25μmとなるように塗布した後、加熱して架橋させることにより、プライマー層の表面に厚さ25μmのゴム層を形成させ、ガスケット用素材を得た。
得られたガスケット用素材の一部を切断、切削、加工したところ、精度よく容易に加工し得る加工性に優れたものであった。
また、得られたガスケット用素材に対し、以下の方法で耐液密着性評価を行った。その結果を表1に示す。
25mm×100mmサイズの耐液密着性試験用の試料を準備し、1.5質量%のリン酸水素二カリウム水溶液中に半浸漬状態で、95℃で500時間保持した。その後、試料の表面に対し、セロハンテープで数回剥離を行った後、更に描画試験機にて、JIS K6894に準拠して描画試験を行い、ゴムの残存性を確認した。
なお、リン酸水素二カリウムは、不凍液中に含まれている成分の一つであり、主にpHの調整、防腐、安定剤などの役割として添加されている成分である。本薬品を添加することでより剥離が促進されるため、剥離促進試験用の液として、リン酸水素二カリウム水溶液を用いた。
5点:ゴム層の剥離がない。
4点:ゴム層が90%以上残存している。
3点:ゴム層が50%以上90%未満残存している。
2点:ゴム層が50%未満であるが、残存している。
1点:ゴム層の残存が無い、または取り出し後にゴム層に膨れ有。

- 少なくとも、金属板からなる基材と、該基材の片側又は両側の表面に形成されている金属表面コーティング層と、該金属表面コーティング層を介して形成されているゴム層と、
を有し、
該金属表面コーティング層は、(A)Mg炭酸塩、Co炭酸塩、Zr炭酸塩、Mn炭酸塩、Ni炭酸塩及びCu炭酸塩からなる群から選ばれる1種以上の炭酸塩と、(B)シリカ、アルミナ、ジルコニア及びチタニアからなる群から選ばれる1種以上と、を含有すること、
を特徴とするエンジンの冷却水に接触する箇所の前記ゴム層を有するガスケット用素材。 - 前記金属表面コーティング層と前記ゴム層の間に形成されているプライマー層を有し、
該プライマー層が、フェノール樹脂の硬化物又はエポキシ樹脂の硬化物からなることを特徴とする請求項1記載のエンジンの冷却水に接触する箇所の前記ゴム層を有するガスケット用素材。 - 前記ゴム層を形成するゴムがニトリルゴムであることを特徴とする請求項1又は2いずれか1項記載のエンジンの冷却水に接触する箇所の前記ゴム層を有するガスケット用素材。
- 前記ゴム層を形成するゴムがフッ素ゴムであることを特徴とする請求項1又は2いずれか1項記載のエンジンの冷却水に接触する箇所の前記ゴム層を有するガスケット用素材。
- 前記金属表面コーティング層が、前記基材の表面に、(A)Mg炭酸塩、Co炭酸塩、Zr炭酸塩、Mn炭酸塩、Ni炭酸塩及びCu炭酸塩からなる群から選ばれる1種以上の炭酸塩と、(B)シリカ、アルミナ、ジルコニア及びチタニアからなる群から選ばれる1種以上と、を含有する金属表面コーティング層形成用処理液を、塗布した後、乾燥させることにより形成された表面コーティング層であることを特徴とする請求項1〜4いずれか1項記載のエンジンの冷却水に接触する箇所の前記ゴム層を有するガスケット用素材。
