Abstract
【解決手段】一端部に車輪取付フランジ6を有し、外周に直接内側転走面4aが形成されたハブ輪4を備え、アウター側のシール11が、先端に向う程径方向外方に傾斜し、車輪取付フランジ6のインナー側の基部6cに所定のシメシロを介して摺接するサイドリップ18aを一体に有し、このサイドリップ18aの最大径が、当該シール11の最大径よりも小径に形成されると共に、この径差eが片側で少なくとも1mmに設定されているので、サイドリップ18aに干渉することなく圧入治具によってシール11を安定して圧入でき、所定の引抜き耐力が確保できると共に、所望のシール性能を確保でき、シール11の密封性と耐久性を高めて軸受の長寿命化を図った車輪用軸受装置を提供することができる。

Claims (3)
- 外周に車体に取り付けられるための車体取付フランジを一体に有し、内周に複列の外側転走面が形成された外方部材と、
一端部に車輪を取り付けるための車輪取付フランジを一体に有し、外周に前記複列の外側転走面に対向する一方の内側転走面と、この内側転走面から軸方向に延びる小径段部が形成されたハブ輪、およびこのハブ輪の小径段部に嵌合され、外周に前記複列の外側転走面に対向する他方の内側転走面が形成された内輪または等速自在継手の外側継手部材からなる内方部材と、
この内方部材と前記外方部材の両転走面間に転動自在に収容された複列の転動体群と、
前記外方部材のアウター側の端部に装着されたシールとを備え、
このシールが、先端に向う程径方向外方に傾斜し、前記車輪取付フランジのインナー側の基部に所定のシメシロを介して摺接するサイドリップを一体に有し、このサイドリップの最大径が、当該シールの最大径よりも小径に形成されると共に、この径差が片側で少なくとも1mmに設定されていることを特徴とする車輪用軸受装置。 - 前記複列の転動体群のうちアウター側の転動体群のピッチ円直径が、インナー側の転動体群のピッチ円直径よりも大径に設定されている請求項1に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
- 前記基部が断面円弧状に形成されると共に、前記シールが、前記サイドリップの内径側に設けられ、先端に向う程径方向外方に傾斜し、当該サイドリップよりも短く形成されて前記基部に所定のシメシロを介して摺接するダストリップと、先端縁が軸受内方側に向けた状態でラジアルリップを構成するグリースリップとを備えている請求項1または2に記載の車輪用軸受装置。
