Description
以下の説明では、液化天然ガス(LNG)を運搬する船舶のことをLNGキャリヤー又は単にキャリヤーと称する。当業者には周知のように、ここでキャリヤーという用語は、大型船舶又は船等を意味する。

Claims (9)
- 液化ガス好ましくは液化天然ガス(LNG)を輸送するための球形又はほぼ球形の少くとも1つの貨物タンクを備えたキャリヤーであって、
二重底を構成する外側底と内側底を有し、該内側底に該キャリヤーの長手方向に間隔を置いて複数の凹部が形成されており、該各凹部は、前記各貨物タンクの一部分を受容するように設計されており、該内側底から該キャリヤーの中立軸線までの距離が、前記外側底から主甲板までの距離の約25%(15〜30%)の割合とされていることを特徴とするキャリヤー。
- 前記二重底から離隔されて該二重底の頂部に支持された、好ましくはバラストのための側部タンクを具備する請求項1に記載のキャリヤー。
- 前記貨物タンクを支持するためのスカートが前記二重底の内側底に取り付けられている請求項1又は2に記載のキャリヤー。
- 前記二重底の内側底と外側底の間の空間は、密閉空間で、空洞であり、バラスト収容タンクを構成する請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載のキャリヤー。
- 前記前記二重底内の空間は、長手方向の隔壁によって左舷スペースと、中央スペースと、右舷スペースに分割されている請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載のキャリヤー。
- 前記各凹部は、前記内側底と外側底の間の空間が密閉空間となり、各凹部が二重底の空間内に潜り込むような態様に該内側底に形成された構造体である請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載のキャリヤー。
- 前記各凹部の水平断面形状は、該凹部の深さとともに変化する形状であり、前記内側底の頂部表面積は、該すべての凹部の水平断面の合計面積より大きい請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載のキャリヤー。
- 前記凹部は、半球構造体又は半多角形構造体として形成され、該凹部の水平断面は、八角形、多角形、又は球形等である請求項1〜7のいずれか1項に記載のキャリヤー。
- 前記各凹部の水平断面は、該凹部の底部に向かって漸次減小している請求項1〜8のいずれか1項に記載のキャリヤー。
