Abstract
【解決手段】本発明の提供する触媒劣化検知装置は、内燃機関の排気系に設けられ、排気を浄化する触媒と、前記触媒の上流側および下流側に設けられ、排気中の空燃比を計測する空燃比センサと、目標空燃比に応じて前記空燃比を制御する空燃比制御手段と、前記空燃比の変動に応じて、前記触媒の上流側空燃比および下流側空燃比を用いて、前記触媒の劣化状態を表す触媒モデルのパラメータを同定する同定手段と、前記同定されたパラメータに基づき、前記触媒の劣化を判定する劣化判定手段と、を有する。

ここで、βは任意の定数である。βが1に近いほど、触媒前後の空燃比は近い値をとり、触媒の劣化が進んでいることを示す。

Claims (4)
- 内燃機関の排気系に設けられ、排気を浄化する触媒と、
前記触媒の上流側および下流側に設けられ、排気中の空燃比を計測する空燃比センサと、
目標空燃比に応じて前記空燃比を制御する空燃比制御手段と、
前記空燃比の変動に応じて、前記触媒の上流側空燃比および下流側空燃比を用いて、前記触媒の劣化状態を表す触媒モデルのパラメータを同定する同定手段と、
前記同定されたパラメータに基づき、前記触媒の劣化を判定する劣化判定手段と、
を有する、内燃機関の触媒劣化検知装置。 - 前記同定手段が、前記パラメータの同定に用いる前記上流側空燃比および下流側空燃比のサンプリング数およびサンプリング周期を、排気流量、排気温度、触媒温度、前記目標空燃比の変化度合い、または前記空燃比の変化量のうち少なくとも1つに基づき設定する、請求項1に記載の触媒劣化検知装置。
- 前記劣化判定手段が、前記触媒の酸素吸着量、触媒温度、または前記目標空燃比に応じてしきい値を設定し、前記パラメータと該しきい値とを比較して前記触媒の劣化を判定する、請求項1に記載の触媒劣化検知装置。
- 前記触媒モデルが、Y=βXで表され、
ここで、Xは前記上流側空燃比であり、Yは前記下流側空燃比である、
