Abstract
【解決手段】複数のバンクごとにVVT機構が設けられた可変バルブタイミング装置において、自バンクおよび他バンクの全てにおいてバルブタイミングの基準位置学習が完了するまでは(S170,S180)、バルブタイミング制御の開始を不許可とする(S195)。これにより、複数バンク間でバルブタイミング制御時のバルブタイミング設定を揃えて、気筒への空気導入量のばらつきを抑制して、燃焼性を良好に維持できる。

Description
したがって、相対回転数設定部6030は、制御周期ΔTにて要求されるカムシャフト位相変化量Δθを生じさせるための電動モータ2060の相対回転数ΔNmを、(1)式に従った演算処理によって求めることができる。
(2)式において、DTY(FB)は、上記回転数偏差および所定の制御ゲインによる制御演算(代表的には、一般的なP制御、PI制御等)基づくフィードバック項である。
インテークカムシャフト1120の位相検出精度を向上するために、インテーク用VVT機構2000では、所定の学習指示条件成立時に、学習制御部6100により、インテークバルブ位相の基準位置学習を行なう。本発明の実施の形態では、減速比R(θ)が大きい領域で基準位置学習を行なう。具体的には、インテークバルブ位相を最遅角に到達させることにより基準位置学習が行なわれる。
基準位置学習が指示されていないため処理を終了する。
Claims (5)
- エンジンに設けられたインテークバルブおよびエキゾーストバルブの少なくとも一方のバルブの開閉タイミングを変更する変更機構が気筒群ごとに設けられた可変バルブタイミング装置であって、
各前記変更機構に対応して設けられ、基準位置学習の指令時に、対応の前記変更機構のアクチュエータに対して前記開閉タイミングを所定タイミングへ変更する作動指示を生成し、前記開閉タイミングが前記所定タイミングへ到達したことに応答して前記開閉タイミングの基準を学習するように構成された基準位置学習手段と、
全ての前記変更機構において、前記基準位置学習手段による前記基準位置学習が完了しているか否かを確認する学習完了確認手段と、
前記学習完了確認手段により前記全ての変更機構にて前記基準位置学習が完了していると確認されるまでは、逐次設定される目標値に追従させて前記開閉タイミングを変化させる開閉タイミング制御の開始を各前記変更機構において禁止する制御開始制限手段とを備える、可変バルブタイミング装置。 - 各前記変更機構は、前記アクチュエータの作動量に応じた変化量で前記開閉タイミングを変更するように構成され、かつ、少なくとも前記基準位置学習時に前記所定タイミングにおいて、前記開閉タイミングの変化が機械的に制約されるように構成され、
前記基準位置学習の指令時に、前記変更機構ごとに前記開閉タイミングが前記所定タイミングへ到達する時点が異なるように、各前記変更機構における前記アクチュエータの作動指示は生成される、請求項1記載の可変バルブタイミング装置。 - 前記エンジンのアイドル運転中に前記基準位置学習が実行されるときに、前記エンジンへの空気導入量を、同一条件下での前記基準位置学習の非実行時よりも増加させる増量手段をさらに備える、請求項1記載の可変バルブタイミング装置。
- 各前記変更機構において、前記所定タイミングは、前記開閉タイミングの可変範囲の機械的な限界位置に対応して設けられる、請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の可変バルブタイミング装置。
- 前記アクチュエータは電動機で構成され、かつ、前記変更機構は、前記エンジンのカムシャフトに対する前記電動機の相対的な回転速度差に応じた変化量で前記開閉タイミングを変更するように構成される、請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の可変バルブタイミング装置。
