Abstract

Claims (25)
- 組織に突き刺さるに充分なほど先鋭な遠方端とそれを通じて延びている内腔とを有する電極と、
この電極内腔を通して少なくとも部分的に延びる冷却媒体導入コンジット及び冷却媒体放出コンジットを備えている閉ループ冷却システムと、
上記内腔は、前記冷却媒体のシステムに流れる冷却媒体から分離されている前記電極の少なくとも1つのポートで終端しており、
上記電極は、エネルギー源に接続されており、
上記電極の内腔に少なくとも部分的に配置された少なくとも1つのプローブであって、その遠方部分が少なくとも1つの曲率半径で上記ポートから送り出されるように構成されたプローブと、
を備えたことを特徴とするアブレーション装置。 - 上記プローブに接続された少なくとも1つの熱センサをさらに備えている請求項1に記載の装置。
- 上記冷却媒体導入及び放出コンジットが上記電極の遠方端に閉ループを形成する請求項1または2のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 上記電極の内腔が、冷却媒体から分離されたままである注入媒体を移送するように構成される請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 上記電極が注入媒体を、上記電極内腔を経て上記少なくとも1つのポートを通り組織の場所に移送されるように構成されている請求項4に記載の装置。
- 上記少なくとも1つのプローブに接続された前進及び後退部材を更に含む請求項1ないし5のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 上記少なくとも1つのプローブが、上記エネルギー源に接続されるように構成された請求項1ないし6のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 上記少なくとも1つの熱センサが第1の熱センサと第2の熱センサとを備えている請求項2ないし7のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 上記第1の熱センサは上記少なくとも1つのプローブの遠方端に配置され、そして第2の熱センサは該同一のプローブの遠方端以外の位置に配置される請求項8に記載の装置。
- 上記第1の熱センサが上記少なくとも1つのプローブの第1のものに配置されている請求項8に記載の装置。
- 上記少なくとも1つの熱センサが上記少なくとも一つプローブの遠方端に配置される請求項2ないし10のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 上記電極の外面の周りに配置された絶縁スリーブを更に含む請求項1ないし11のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 上記絶縁スリーブは、電極の長手軸に沿って移動可能になっている請求項12に記載の装置。
- 上記少なくとも1つのポートが上記電極に形成された第1及び第2のポートを更に含む請求項1ないし13のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 上記冷却媒体のシステムは、電極に対する構造的な支持を追加するように構成されている請求項1から14に記載の装置。
- 上記少なくとも1つのプローブは上記少なくとも1つのポートから展開可能であり、展開されたときに電極を固定位置に保持するような幾何学的に構成される遠方端を有する請求項1ないし15のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 上記冷却媒体導入及び放出コンジットが、上記電極内腔において互いに隣接して配置される請求項1ないし16のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 組織の場所の測定された温度を所定の温度値と比較し、そして測定された温度と所定の温度との差を表すエネルギー源に対する信号を発生するために、上記少なくとも1つの熱センサ及び前記エネルギー源に接続される比較器を更に備えた請求項2ないし17のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 上記冷却媒体導入及び放出コンジットに接続され、温度差を表す上記比較器からの信号に応答して、測定温度を所定の温度以下に維持するように、上記コンジット介しての冷却媒体の流量を調整するための流量制御器を更に備えた請求項18に記載の装置。
- 上記エネルギー源に接続され、装置へのエネルギー出力を調整するためのエネルギー出力制御器を更に備えた請求項1ないし19に記載の装置。
- 組織に印加されるエネルギーに基づいて組織のインピーダンス値を決定するためのインピーダンス装置と、
決定された組織のインピーダンスを所定の最大インピーダンス値と比較し、決定されたインピーダンス値が所定の最大インピーダンス値を越える場合に信号を発生するインピーダンス比較器と、
ディスエイブル信号をエネルギー源に通信して、エネルギー源から装置へのエネルギーの更なる供給を停止するための通信装置と、
をさらに含む請求項20に記載の装置。 - インピーダンスの差を表す上記インピーダンス比較器からの信号に応答して、測定インピーダンス値を所定の最大インピーダンス置以下に維持するように、上記導入及び放出コンジットを通る冷却媒体の流量を調整するための冷却媒体制御器を更に備えた請求項20または21のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 上記導入及び放出コンジットが冷却媒体源に接続されるように構成された請求項1ないし22のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 上記少なくとも1つのプローブの外面の周りに配置された絶縁スリーブを更に含む請求項1ないし23のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 上記エネルギー源が高周波エネルギー源及びマイクロ波発生源から選択される請求項1ないし24に記載の装置。
