Abstract
【解決手段】 スイッチング素子を各々含む複数の画素から構成される表示装置の駆動装置は、一定の周辺温度を基準とする基準温度以上で第1駆動電圧を生成する一方、前記基準温度未満で前記第1駆動電圧よりも大きい第2駆動電圧を生成する駆動電圧生成部700と、前記駆動電圧に基づいて複数のゲート電圧を生成するゲート信号生成部750とを含む。

Description
ここで、Req1は、二つの抵抗R6、R7の等価抵抗値である。
ここで、Rthevは、抵抗R3で見た左側回路のテブナン(Thevenin)等価抵抗である。つまり、周知の通り、トランジスタT1、T2を電圧源と従属電流源で代替し、抵抗R2で見たテブナン等価抵抗をまず求めた後に、この抵抗と二つの抵抗R2、R1とを直列及び並列等価回路を利用して求めた抵抗値である。従って、この等価抵抗Rthevは抵抗R1より小さいことが分かる。
この時、「数式2」と「数式3」とを比較すれば、抵抗R1が抵抗Rthevに比べて大きいので、フィードバック電圧VFB2がさらに小さいことが分かる。従って、駆動電圧AVDDの大きさはフィードバック電圧VFBの大きさが小さいほど大きくなるので、DC/DCコンバータ720はさらに大きい駆動電圧AVDDを生成する。

Claims (11)
- スイッチング素子を各々含む複数の画素から構成される表示装置の駆動装置であって、
一定の周辺温度を基準とする基準温度以上で第1駆動電圧を生成する一方、前記基準温度未満で前記第1駆動電圧よりも大きい第2駆動電圧を生成する駆動電圧生成部と、
前記駆動電圧に基づいて複数のゲート電圧を生成するゲート信号生成部と、
を含むことを特徴とする表示装置の駆動装置。 - 前記駆動電圧生成部は、
前記基準温度以上で第3電圧を生成し、前記基準温度未満で第4電圧を生成する第1電圧生成部と、
前記第3電圧が入力される場合に前記第1電圧を生成し、前記第4電圧が入力される場合に前記第2電圧を生成する第2電圧生成部と、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置の駆動装置。 - 前記第1電圧生成部は、
少なくとも一つの抵抗を通じて電圧源に連結されている第1トランジスタと、
前記第1駆動電圧または前記第2駆動電圧の印加を受け、前記第1トランジスタと同期して動作する第2トランジスタと、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の表示装置の駆動装置。 - 前記基準温度は、前記第1トランジスタのしきい電圧と前記電圧源の電圧とが同一になる温度に決められることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の表示装置の駆動装置。
- 前記第1及び第2トランジスタはBJT(bipolar junction transistor)であることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の表示装置の駆動装置。
- スイッチング素子を各々含む複数の画素から構成される表示装置であって、
一定の周辺温度を基準とする基準温度以上で第1駆動電圧を生成する一方、前記基準温度未満で前記第1駆動電圧よりも大きい第2駆動電圧を生成する駆動電圧生成部、
前記駆動電圧に基づいて複数のゲート電圧を生成するゲート信号生成部と、
前記ゲート信号生成部からの前記ゲート電圧の印加を受けて前記スイッチング素子に印加するゲート駆動部と、
を含むことを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記駆動電圧生成部は、
前記基準温度以上で第3電圧を生成し、前記基準温度未満で第4電圧を生成する第1電圧生成部と、
前記第3電圧が入力される場合に前記第1電圧を生成し、前記第4電圧が入力される場合に前記第2電圧を生成する第2電圧生成部と、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項6に記載の表示装置。 - 前記第1電圧生成部は、
少なくとも一つの抵抗を通じて電圧源に連結されている第1トランジスタと、
前記第1駆動電圧または前記第2駆動電圧の印加を受け、前記第1トランジスタと同期して動作する第2トランジスタと、
を含むことを特徴とする請求項7に記載の表示装置。 - 前記基準温度は、前記第1トランジスタのしきい電圧と前記電圧源の電圧とが同一になる温度に決められることを特徴とする請求項8に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1及び第2トランジスタはBJTであることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の表示装置。
- 前記ゲート駆動部は前記表示装置に集積されていることを特徴とする請求項10に記載の表示装置。
