Abstract
カーボン粒子や金属粒子等の導電粒子の表面を絶縁被膜等の処理することなく、低抵抗の状態で静電潜像の現像を行う方法を提供する。
【解決手段】
導電粒子の分散及び搬送には磁性または非磁性のキャリアを用い磁性ローラーにて搬送し、現像ローラと像担持体は非接触で間隔距離を設け、電界で飛翔させて現像を行う。これらのカーボン粒子又は金属粒子は導電性で有るために高い電界によって電極やキャリアから電荷を得て、あいは電荷を放出して、帯電・飛翔する。

Claims (9)
- 静電像坦持体と現像器を具備する装置において、現像剤が導電材料からなる粒子であり、該現像剤は該像坦持体と非接触であり、電界によって飛翔させ現像する事を特徴とする現像方法
- 該現像剤の抵抗値が10の2乗Ω・cm以下のカーボン粒子又は金属粒子である事を特徴とする請求項1に記載の現像方法
- 該現像剤が非磁性である場合はフェライト粒子又は鉄粒子等の磁性材料と混合し、磁性集合体を内包した導電性非磁性スリーブによって該像坦持体近傍まで搬送し現像する請求項1に記載の現像方法
- 該現像剤が非磁性である場合はフェライト粒子又は鉄粒子等の磁性材料と混合し、磁性集合体を内包した導電性非磁性スリーブから非接触にて電界によって飛翔させて導電性非磁性ロールに付着させ、さらに該導電性非磁性ロールから非接触状態にある静電像坦持体に電界によって飛翔させて現像する事を特徴とする請求項1に記載の現像方法
- 該フェライト粒子又は鉄粒子などの磁性材料の表面に樹脂皮膜を施さないことを特徴とする請求項1、2及び3に記載の現像方法
- 該現像剤が磁性である場合はガラス粒子又は樹脂粒子、セラミック粒子等の非磁性材料と混合し、磁性集合体を内包した導電性非磁性スリーブによって該像坦持体近傍まで搬送し現像する請求項1に記載の現像方法
- 該現像剤が非磁性である場合はガラス粒子又は樹脂粒子、セラミック粒子等の非磁性材料と混合し、磁性集合体を内包した導電性非磁性スリーブから非接触にて電界によって飛翔させて導電性非磁性ロールに付着させ、さらに該導電性非磁性ロールから非接触状態にある静電像坦持体に電界によって飛翔させて現像する事を特徴とする請求項1に記載の現像方法
- 該現像剤と混合する該フェライト粒子、ガラス粒子又は樹脂粒子、セラミック粒子等の絶縁材料または半導体材料の表面に導電性皮膜を施すことを特徴とする請求項1、2及び3に記載の現像方法
- 該現像剤を飛翔させるために印加する電圧が直流電圧と周波数500Hz〜10KHzの正弦波電圧又は矩形波電圧との重畳電圧であることを特徴とする請求項1乃至請求項7に記載の現像方法
