Abstract
Description
Sr1−xCaxGa2S4:yEu2+・zGa2S3(I)
式中、xは0.0001〜1であり、yは発光放出を提供するために十分なEu2+を定義する値(または例えばSr1−xCaxGa2S4:yEu2+のモル量に基づいて0.001〜0.1)であり、zはSr1−xCaxGa2S4のモル量に基づいて0.0001〜0.2である。
1)相同定は、存在する相を判定するために、実験データを粉末回折ファイル[Powder Diffraction File,International Centre for Diffraction Data,スワスモア、ペンシルベニア州、米国、毎年刊行]と比較することによって実施した。
2)相が同定されたら、構造情報をICSDデータベースから得た。
3)リートベルトリファインメントは、Materials Data Inc.(リバモア、カリフォルニア州、米国)が製造したJade software v.6.5ソフトウェアパッケージを使用して、実行された。リファインされた構造パラメータは、重量分率、格子パラメータ、およびラインプロフィールシェイプファンクション、機器の系統的誤差、および等方性熱パラメータであった。他の構造パラメータ、例えば原子配置およびサイト占有率は、サンプルが混合物を含有する場合には、これらのパラメータをリファインすべきでないことが、経験により示されたため、リファインされなかった。

同時沈殿した炭酸塩は、炭酸塩をその硫酸塩に変換するために、過剰の硫酸アンモニウム(例えば25%モル過剰)を用いて、例えば約200℃にて焼成し、続いて例えば約1100℃のより高温で、焼成することができる。ガリウム塩、例えば硝酸塩の酸性溶液を硫酸塩の溶液に添加できる。pHを中性またはさらに塩基性にして(例えば水酸化アンモニウムを使用して)、粒子を沈殿させることができる。得られた粉末を乾燥、粉砕して、(例えばアルミナ製の)耐火ボートに入れ、硫化水素中で例えば5時間に渡って管状炉内で約800℃にて焼成できる。得られた生成物は式:

を有し、式中、zは、例えば、0.0001〜0.1(または0.01〜10モルパーセント)である。均一性を高めるために、生成物は、例えば粉砕して粉末として、硫化水素中で約900℃にて約2時間に渡って再焼成してもよい。

530nm以下の波長を含む光を生成する光源と、
光源と光出力との間に位置し、式中、xが0.0001〜1であり、yが発光放出を提供するために十分なEu2+を定義する値であり、zがSrxCa1−xGa2S4のモル量に基づいて0.0001〜0.2であるSr1−xCaxGa2S4:yEu2+・zGa2S3を含む波長変換器であって、535nmと560nmとの間の波長を有する光出力において光を増加させるのに有効な波長変換器と、
を備える発光デバイス。 - zが0.001〜0.2である、請求項6に記載の発光デバイス。
- zが0.001〜0.1である、請求項1に記載の発光デバイス。
- yがSr1−xCaxGa2S4のモル量に基づいて0.001〜0.1である、請求項1に記載の発光デバイス。
- yが0.01〜0.08である、請求項4に記載の発光デバイス。

- 蛍光体が535nm〜560nmの発光ピークを有する、請求項1に記載の発光デバイス。
- 発光ピークが、440nm±40nmの発光源を用いた励起下で50nm以下の帯域幅を有する、請求項7に記載の発光デバイス。
- 式中、xが0.0001〜1であり、yが発光放出を提供するために十分なEu2+を定義する値であり、zがSr1−xCaxGa2S4のモル量に基づいて0.0001〜0.2である式Sr1−xCaxGa2S4:yEu2+・zGa2S3のストロンチウムカルシウムチオガレート系蛍光体を作成する方法であって、
ガリウム、2価ユウロピウム、カルシウム、およびxが1でない場合、ストロンチウム、の硫酸塩の組成物を作成することと、
硫化水素下で組成物を焼成することと、
を含む方法。 - zが0.001〜0.2である、請求項8に記載の方法。
