Abstract
Description
ここで、本発明は、電極内部を食塩水で冷却させると同時に、食塩水を生体組織に直接排出させるという両者を利用する電極の構造を提供し、上述した従来技術による方法に比べて生体組織の凝固領域をより一層拡大するとともに、生体組織の凝固壊死にかかる時間を短縮できる電気手術器用電極を提供することを目的とする。
以下では、上記目的を具体的に実現できる本発明の実施形態を、添付図面を参照して説明する。
牛の肝臓を実験対象とし、高周波ジェネレーターは米国ラジオニックス(RADIONICS)製の中480―kHz高周波ジェネレーターを使用し、本発明の電極内部に5.85%食塩水を80〜120ml/minに流入させて生体組織に1ml/cmずつ注入されるようにした。最初30秒-1.2アンペア(約120ワット)、次に、30秒−1.6アンペア(約160ワット)、次いで、12−15分−2アンペア(約200ワット)の出力を印加しながらインピダンスを50〜110オームに保持して50回の凝固壊死実験を行い、凝固壊死領域をMRIで測定した。
Claims (9)
- 閉鎖された端部から長く延長された中空管体状の形状を有し、前記閉鎖端部側一定の長さを除いては外表面に絶縁コーティングを施した中空電極と;
前記中空電極の直径より小さな直径を有して前記中空電極内に挿入され、前記閉鎖端部及び中空電極と接触している生体組織を冷却するための冷媒を前記中空電極の内部に供給し、熱交換された冷媒を前記中空電極との間の空間を介して生体外に排出する冷媒導管と;
前記冷媒導管を介して供給される冷媒の一部を前記中空電極外部に排出させるために、前記中空電極の中絶縁コーティングが施されていない部分の外表面に形成される少なくとも一つの第1の孔と;
前記第1の孔を介して排出される冷媒に排出抵抗として作用して排出される冷媒の流量を制御するために、前記中空電極の中絶縁コーティングが施されていない部分の外表面上に形成される流量制御手段とからなることを特徴とする電気手術器用電極。 - 前記中空電極が、導電性で、外部から前記中空電極を介して電源が印加されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電気手術器用電極。
- 前記中空電極の外表面と間隙を有するように挿入されて、前記閉鎖端部側一定の長さを除いては外表面に絶縁コーティングを施して、前記間隙を介して食塩水を注入して前記絶縁コーティングが施されていない部分の外表面に形成された少なくとも一つの第2の孔を介して前記食塩水を排出させる食塩水パイプをさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の電気手術器用電極。
- 前記中空電極及び食塩水パイプが、導電性で、前記中空電極と食塩水パイプに印加される電源が相違し、前記中空電極表面には前記中空電極及び前記食塩水パイプ間の間隙を介して供給される食塩水による短絡を防止するために絶縁部材が形成されたことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の電気手術器用電極。
- 前記絶縁部材が、前記中空電極表面に形成された絶縁コーティングと、前記中空電極と前記食塩水パイプとの間に設けられている絶縁パッキングからなることを特徴とする請求項4に記載の電気手術器用電極。
- 前記中空電極の閉鎖端部が導電性先端部材であって、前記中空電極と前記先端部材は一体に形成されたことを特徴とする請求項1〜5に記載の電気手術器用電極。
- 前記流量制御手段は、前記中空電極の絶縁コーティングが施されていない部分の外表面上に挿入されて外表面に少なくとも一つの第3の孔を有する中空導管であって、前記中空電極の第1の孔が前記中空導管の第3の孔とお互い交差するように設置されて前記第1の孔から排出される冷媒に排出抵抗として作用して排出される冷媒の量を調節することを特徴とする請求項1〜5に記載の電気手術器用電極。
- 前記第1の孔と第3の孔及び中空導管の両端部間の排出流路に中空導管の圧搾部をジグザグに形成して前記第1の孔から排出される冷媒に対する排出抵抗として作用するようにし、排出される冷媒の量を調節することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の電気手術器用電極。
- 前記流量制御手段は、前記中空電極の絶縁コーティングが施されていない部分の外表面上に形成された多孔性金属焼結体層に、前記焼結体層が前記第1の孔から排出される冷媒に排出抵抗として作用して排出される冷媒の量を調節することを特徴とする請求項1〜5に記載の電気手術器用電極。
