Q2 = Q1 +B(T2−T1)

に従ってQ1から実質的にQ2に変化し得る。Bの適当な値はルーチンの実験により決定され、確認され得る。Bの値は通常0.01×10−6〜1×10−6、特に0.1×10−6〜0.5×10−6の範囲である。Bの適当な値は、特に実施例で使用した数及び係数の組合せにおいて上記した反応調節剤の活性種の有効モル量及び炭化水素の有効モル量の計算に使用したときには0.22×10−6となる。
米国特許第4,766,105号明細書に記載されているα−アルミナ上に銀、レニウム及びセシウムを含む触媒を下記例において使用した。
Claims (13)
- 銀を主成分とする高選択性エポキシ化触媒またはカチオン形態の銀を含む前記触媒の前駆体を含む触媒床と酸素を含む供給原料を260℃以上の触媒床温度で最長150時間接触させ、その後触媒床の温度を260℃以下の値に低下させることを含むオレフィンのエポキシ化法の始動方法。
- 触媒が、銀に加えて、IA族金属;及びレニウム、モリブデン及びタングステンから選択される1つ以上の選択率向上ドーパントを含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 触媒が、銀に加えて、レニウムまたはその化合物;IA族金属、IIA族金属、モリブデン、タングステン、クロム、チタン、ハフニウム、ジルコニウム、バナジウム、タリウム、トリウム、タンタル、ニオブ、ガリウム、ゲルマニウム及びその混合物からなる群から選択される別の金属またはその化合物;及び場合により1つ以上の硫黄、リン、ホウ素及びその化合物から選択されるレニウム共促進剤を担体材料上に含む請求項2に記載の方法。
- 260℃以上の温度が260〜290℃、特に265〜280℃である請求項1に記載の方法。
- 触媒温度を260℃以上に1〜30時間、特に2〜20時間維持する請求項1に記載の方法。
- 260℃以上の温度で触媒と接触させる供給原料がオレフィンを5〜70モル%、特に10〜50モル%、飽和炭化水素を存在させる場合には0〜70モル%、特に10〜60モル%、酸素を0.5〜15モル%、特に1〜12モル%含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- オレフィンがエチレンである請求項6に記載の方法。
- 供給原料が更に有機ハライド(特に、クロロ炭化水素)を全供給原料に対してハロゲン含量に基づいて計算して1×10−4〜30×10−4モル%、特に1.5×10−4〜20×20−4モル%の濃度で含む請求項6に記載の方法。
- 供給原料に対して酸素と有機ハライドを同時に添加する請求項8に記載の方法。
- 銀を主成分とする高選択性エポキシ化触媒またはカチオン形態の銀を含む前記触媒の前駆体を含む触媒床と酸素を含む供給原料を260℃以上の触媒床温度で最長150時間接触させ、その後触媒床の温度を260℃以下の値に低下させ、触媒とオレフィン及び酸素を含む供給原料を接触させることを含むオレフィンのエポキシ化法。
- オレフィンがエチレンである請求項10に記載の方法。
- オレフィン及び酸素を含む供給原料が更に有機クロリド及び場合により硝酸塩または亜硝酸塩形成化合物を含む請求項10に記載の方法。
- 請求項10に記載のオレフィンのエポキシ化法により得たオレフィンオキシドを1,2−ジオール、1,2−ジオールエーテルまたはアルカノールアミンに変換させることを含む1,2−ジオール、1,2−ジオールエーテルまたはアルカノールアミンの製造方法。
