Abstract

Claims (13)
- 光ファイバを保持するケーシングを有し、前記ケーシングとアダプタまたはレセプタクルの開口部との嵌合によって前記アダプタまたはレセプタクルと結合される光コネクタプラグであって、
前記光ファイバによって伝送される光を遮断または散乱する遮蔽片と、
前記遮蔽片が前記光ファイバの光路の前方に存在する閉状態と、前記遮蔽片が前記光ファイバの光路の前方の外に存在する開状態との間で、前記遮蔽片を駆動する駆動機構とを備え、
前記駆動機構は、前記光コネクタプラグと前記アダプタまたはレセプタクルとの結合動作の間に、前記アダプタまたはレセプタクルの開口部の口縁端面と干渉することによって、前記遮蔽片を前記閉状態から前記開状態へと駆動することを特徴とする光コネクタプラグ。 - 請求項1に記載の光コネクタプラグであって、
前記駆動機構は、前記ケーシングに対し前後に移動可能に取り付けられ前記アダプタまたはレセプタクルの開口部の口縁端面と干渉する可動子を備え、前記遮蔽片は、前記可動子の前後の移動によって駆動されることを特徴とする光コネクタプラグ。 - 請求項2に記載の光コネクタプラグであって、
前記遮蔽片は、前記可動子と一体的に設けられていることを特徴とする光コネクタプラグ。 - 請求項3に記載の光コネクタプラグであって、
前記遮蔽片は前記光ファイバが挿通されるフェルールに向けて延在した支持部を有し、
当該支持部は、前記可動子の後退移動に伴って前記フェルールまたは前記ケーシングと干渉し、これによって前記遮蔽片が開方向に移動することを特徴とする光コネクタプラグ。 - 請求項3または4に記載の光コネクタプラグであって、
前記ケーシングの抜去動作中に、前記可動子を前進方向に駆動する復帰操作手段を備えたことを特徴とする光コネクタプラグ。 - 請求項5に記載の光コネクタプラグであって、
前記復帰操作手段は弾性体であることを特徴とする光コネクタプラグ。 - 請求項6に記載の光コネクタプラグであって、
前記弾性体は、前記ケーシングと前記可動子との間に設置された押しバネであることを特徴とする光コネクタプラグ。 - 請求項6に記載の光コネクタプラグであって、
前記弾性体は、前記ケーシングに外周端を固定された板巻きバネであって、前記板巻きバネのロール部が前記可動子に当接することを特徴とする光コネクタプラグ。 - 請求項5に記載の光コネクタプラグであって、
前記復帰操作手段は、前記可動子または遮蔽片に備えられ前記アダプタまたはレセプタクルの開口部との間の摩擦を増大させる摩擦部材であることを特徴とする光コネクタプラグ。 - 請求項9に記載の光コネクタプラグであって、
前記摩擦部材は、前記可動子または前記遮蔽片に設けられた舌片であることを特徴とする光コネクタプラグ。 - 請求項1ないし10のいずれかに記載の光コネクタプラグであって、
前記ケーシングは、前記フェルールを保持するプラグフレームと、前記プラグフレームに摺動可能に装着された摺動スリーブとを備え、前記摺動スリーブは、前記アダプタまたはレセプタクルとのロックを解除するためのロック解除機構を有することを特徴とする光コネクタプラグ。 - 請求項11に記載の光コネクタプラグであって、
前記駆動機構は、前記ケーシングに対し前後に移動可能に取り付けられ前記アダプタまたはレセプタクルの開口部の口縁端面と干渉する可動子を備え、前記遮蔽片は前記可動子と一体的に設けられ、
前記ケーシングの抜去動作中に前記可動子を前進方向に駆動する弾性体からなる復帰操作手段を更に備え、
前記弾性体は、前記プラグフレームと前記可動子との間に設置されていることを特徴とする光コネクタプラグ。 - 請求項1ないし12のいずれかに記載の光コネクタプラグであって、
前記アダプタまたはレセプタクルが、SC形またはMU形のアダプタまたはレセプタクルであることを特徴とする光コネクタプラグ。
