Abstract

【解決手段】 本発明は、車両の風防ガラスを払拭するワイパ装置（１０）に関する。このワイパ装置（１０）は、固定可能な平らなワイパブレード（１６）を有する駆動可能なワイパアーム（１４）を備えている。ワイパブレード（１６）は、ワイパブレードゴム（１８）とワイパブレードゴム（１８）を支持する支持手段（２０）とを備え、この支持手段（２０）は、細長い弾性の舌部（３０）（３２）と、ワイパアーム（１４）の自由端（１２）を連結する連結手段とからなっている。連結手段は、支持手段（２０）に固定される支持部材（２２）と、制限されて旋回可能に取り付けられる連結部材（２４）とを備えている。連結部材（２４）は、取り外し可能に、ワイパアーム（１４）の自由端（１２）に連結されている。

Description

本発明は、駆動可能なワイパアームと、ワイパブレードゴムを備え、ワイパアームに取り付け可能な平らなワイパブレードと、ワイパブレードゴムを支持し、バンド状の細長いスプリングブレードをなす支持手段と、ワイパアームの自由端を連結する連結手段とを備える、車両の風防ガラスを払拭するワイパ装置に関する。また、本発明は、このようなワイパ装置のワイパブレード及びワイパアームに関する。
上述したようなワイパ装置において、ワイパブレードの長手方向溝に嵌合する壁状の細長い２つのスプリングブレードである支持手段により、払拭される風防ガラスにあるワイパアームのワイパブレード圧を最適に分散させることができる。そのため、支持手段は、無負荷時、すなわち、ワイパブレードが風防ガラスに当接していない状態で前方へ湾曲されている。このような平らなワイパブレードは、従来公知である種々の態様の支持体や爪形クリップを備えていない。
ドイツ国特許公開第198 56 299号公報には、上述したようなワイパ装置が開示されている。平らなワイパブレードの連結手段は、ワイパブレードに固定して設けられ、横方向に突出する連結ピンを有する連結部材を備えている。連結ピンを、ワイパアームの自由端に設けたピン受け部に挿入することができ、これにより、ワイパブレードをワイパアームに対して旋回させることができる。
ワイパブレードをワイパアームから解除するには、ワイパブレードを９０°の角度だけ旋回させる。この位置において、ピボットピンを、ピボットピン受け部の一側方にある開口部から外す。このようなワイパ装置では、ワイパアームとワイパブレードとを旋回可能に取り付けるピボットピン受け部を、ワイパアームの自由端に設けなければならないという欠点がある。そのため、技術的な費用が嵩み、高コストとなる。他の欠点は、摩耗を受ける旋回可能な取り付け部が、ワイパアームの一部となっていることである。

従って、本発明の目的は、平らなワイパブレードをワイパアームに、摩耗が小さく、できるだけ平らに、かつ確実に取り付け、製造コストを抑え、周囲に対する影響を小とした、上述したような公知のワイパ装置を改良することにある。また、本発明によると、空気力学的な利点も得られる。
上述した目的を達成するために、本発明は、連結手段が、支持手段に固定して設けられた支持部材と、支持部材に対して少しだけ旋回可能に設けられた連結部材とを備え、かつこの連結部材を、ワイパアームの自由端に解除可能に連結できるようになっている、改良された上述したようなワイパ装置を提供するものである。
本発明によるワイパ装置では、旋回取り付け部がワイパブレード側に設けられる。平らなワイパブレードとワイパアームとの旋回可能な取り付け部は、ワイパブレードと完全に一体化されている。ワイパアームの自由端は、連結部材に強固に連結され、連結部材と支持部材とが旋回移動する。そのため、平らなままである。また、ワイパアームと、ワイパアームに対して移動可能なワイパブレードとの間に間隙を設ける必要がなくなる。さらに、旋回可能な取り付け部は、摩耗しやすい代替可能な部分、すなわち、ワイパブレードの一部となっているので、コストを小とすることができる。
本発明の好適な一実施例では、ワイパアームの自由端が、長手方向へ延び、組み立てると、連結部材に設けられた舌受け部に嵌合する複数の舌部を備えていることを特徴としている。このような舌部及び舌受け部により、連結部材にワイパアームの自由端を容易に当接させることができる。
この場合、舌部は、風防ガラスへ向かって少なくとも部分的に突出する自由端と一体形成されているのが好ましい。このようにすると、舌部は、ワイパブレードの組み立ての前後に邪魔となることがない。
ワイパアームは、軸線方向に移動して連結部材に取り付けるようにするのが好ましい。連結すると、舌部は、舌受け部に少なくとも部分的に当接する。この場合、舌部は、舌受け部に容易に挿入することができるようになっており、連結補助部として作用する。
また、本発明は、組み立てると、ワイパアームの自由端の端面が連結部材の支持縁に少なくとも部分的に当接するようになっていることを特徴としている。従って、ワイパアームの自由端に対するワイパブレードの位置を設定することができる。支持縁は、ワイパアームの自由端の輪郭に沿っているのが好ましく、これにより、ほぼ平らで、空気力学的な面が得られる。
ワイパアームの自由端は、ワイパアームの軸線を横切り、かつ、風防ガラスと直交する保持部を備えているのが好ましい。組み立て状態において、保持部は、連結部材に設けられた作動部と協働し、作動部により、ワイパブレードをワイパアームから取り外すことができるようになっている。組み立て状態において、ワイパアームの自由端は、支持縁と作動部との間で長手方向に保持される。舌受け部に舌部があるために、風防ガラスと直交する方向に解除することはできない。従って、ワイパアームの自由端は、連結部材に強固に固定される。
組み立て状態において、保持縁は、作動部の後方にラッチし、ワイパアームに対する連結部材の長手方向の移動及び解除が防止される。ワイパブレードをワイパアームの自由端に組み付けるために、舌部を舌受け部に挿入して、ワイパアームの自由端を支持縁に当接させ、かつ、作動部がワイパアームの自由端の保持縁の後方にラッチするまで、ワイパブレードをワイパアームの自由端上で押し込む。
この場合、作動部は、ワイパアームの自由端の輪郭からはみ出していないことが好ましい。すなわち作動部は、自由端の外形と同じ高さで近接しているか、または、引っ込んでいるのが好ましい。そのため、作動部の好ましくない不意の作動が防止される。
本発明の好ましい一実施例においては、作動部は、スプリング舌部の自由端に設けられ、連結部材の対向する側で長手方向に延び、風防ガラスと平行であり、初期の応力方向とは反対の方向へ向かって作動されるようになっている。これにより、作動部の空間が節約されるとともに、信頼性が増し、簡単な構成となるという利点が得られる。また、部材数が増えないので、有利である。
本発明の好ましい一実施例では、ワイパアームの自由端がＵ状であり、その開口側は、払拭される風防ガラスの方向を向いていることを特徴としている。これにより、ワイパブレードの連結部材が自由端で覆われて、保護されるという利点が得られる。従って、夾雑物が、連結部材と支持部材との旋回可能な構成部に悪影響を及ぼすことがない。
組み立て状態において、横方向の力を受けるため、Ｕ状の自由端は、少なくとも部分的に、連結部材の周り、または後方に当接しているのが好ましい。特に、ワイパブレードに作用する横方向の力を受けるために、Ｕ状の自由端を、連結部材の支持縁と連結部材の作動部との間に設けるのが好ましい。
舌部を、Ｕ状の自由端の横方向の部分に、また、保持部をＵ状の自由端の足部に設けるのが好ましい。それにより、ワイパブレードの自由端を、連結部材に容易に連結することができる。
本発明の１つの改良点は、ワイパアームのＵ状の自由端、好ましくは横方向部が、端部が少なくとも部分的に係合する少なくとも１つの凹部を備えていることである。これにより、ワイパアームと連結部材とを、確実に連結することができる。
連結部材は、Ｕ状の断面を有し、組み立て状態において、その足部は、支持部材の周りかまたは後方に係合し、足部と支持部材との間に、旋回手段が設けられているのが好ましい。このような設計によると、風防ガラスと直交する方向の高さを低くできるとともに、支持部材と連結部材とを、十分に旋回させることができる。
連結部材または支持部材は、長手方向を横切り、かつ、軸を有するピボットピンを備え、ピボットピンは、支持部材または連結部材に設けられたピボットピン受け部に少なくとも部分的に嵌合し、少なくとも少しだけ旋回できるようになっている。このように、ピボットピン及びピボットピン受け部は、連結部材の足部と支持部材との間に位置する旋回手段となっている。
本発明によれば、連結部材の２つの足部及び支持部材は、開口部すなわち孔を有している。この孔は、長手方向を向き、軸を有し、かつ、少しだけ旋回できるピボットピンに嵌合されている。
ワイパ装置の部材数を減らすために、本発明の他の実施例では、支持部材が支持手段に直接的に設けられている。この場合、支持部材は、例えばスプリングブレードをなす支持手段の受け部を備えている。支持部材をスプリングブレードに固定するために、支持部材は、例えば溶接、接着、クランプ留めのような手段により、スプリングブレードに連結されている。
また、上述した目的は、本発明によるワイパ装置の平らなワイパブレード及びワイパアーム、または、ワイパブレードまたはワイパアームにより達成される。
本発明の上記した以外の利点及び詳細は、図面を用いて行う詳細な説明から明らかになると思う。
図１は、車両の風防ガラスを払拭するワイパ装置（１０）の斜視図である。駆動可能なワイパアーム（１４）の自由端（１２）と、ワイパアーム（１４）の自由端（１２）に連結された平らなワイパブレード（１６）の一部とが示されている。ワイパブレード（１６）は、ワイパブレードゴム（１８）、ワイパブレードゴム（１８）を支持する支持手段（２０）、支持手段（２０）に取り付けられた支持部材（２２）、及び支持部材（２２）に対して少しだけ旋回可能に設けられた連結部材（２４）からなっている。支持手段（２０）は、ワイパブレードゴム（１８）の長手方向の対応する溝に嵌合された２つの細長いスプリングブレードとなっている。
図１及び図５からわかるように、ワイパアーム（１４）の自由端（１２）は、Ｕ状であり、横方向部（２６）及び２つの足部（２８）を有している。図１に示す組み立て状態において、ワイパアーム（１４）の自由端（１２）は、連結部材（２４）と当接して係合している。従って、ワイパブレード（１６）に作用する横方向の力は、ワイパアーム（１４）に伝達される。
ワイパアーム（１４）の自由端（１２）の横方向部（２６）には、長手方向に延びる２つの舌部（３０）（３２）が設けられている。前記舌部（３０）（３２）は、ワイパアーム（１４）と一体成形されており、風防ガラスすなわちワイパブレードゴム（１８）の方向へ突出している。
図３及び図４に、舌部（３０）（３２）を示してある。図３は、連結部材（２４）及びそれと接して設けられた支持部材（２２）を有するワイパアーム（１４）の底面図であり、舌部（３０）（３２）が連結部材（２４）に設けられた舌受け部（３４）（３６）に、どのようにして係合されているかを示している。
図１及び図４からわかるように、組み立て状態において、ワイパアーム（１４）の自由端（１２）の端面（３８）は、連結部材（２４）の支持縁（４０）に当接している。ワイパブレード（１６）をワイパアーム（１４）に組み付けるために、２つの舌部（３０）（３２）を、舌受け部（３４）（３６）に順次挿入し、端面（３８）が支持縁（４０）と当接するまで、連結部材（２４）をワイパアーム（１４）の自由端（１２）へ押し込む。
組み立て位置において、連結部材（２４）の２つの作動部（４２）は、ワイパアーム（１４）上で、保持部である保持縁（４４）の後方にラッチする。保持縁（４４）は、ワイパアーム（１４）の長手方向に対して横方向に、かつ、風防ガラスに対して直交して延びている。作動部（４２）は、長手方向に延びる、対向する２つのスプリング舌部（４６）の自由端に形成されている。
ワイパブレード（１６）をワイパアーム（１４）から解除するには、作動部（４２）を、スプリング舌部（４６）の弾性による初期の応力方向とは反対の方向へ作動させる。作動部（４２）をワイパブレード（１６）の中央軸線の方向に押圧すると、ワイパブレード（１６）を、ワイパアーム（１４）から長手方向に取り外すことができるようになる。
端面（３８）と保持縁（４４）との間の距離は、支持縁（４０）と、支持縁（４０）と対向し、保持縁（４４）の後方にラッチする作動部（４２）との間の距離と対応している。従って、ワイパアーム（１４）の自由端（１２）が、連結部材（２４）に確実にラッチするようになる。
作動部（４２）は、ワイパアーム（１４）の輪郭からはみ出していないのが好ましい。
図２及び図３からわかるように、作動部（４２）は、下方から楔状となっており、長手方向に延びている。それにより、連結部材（２４）をワイパアーム（１４）の自由端（１２）上で容易に押し込むことができる。
図１及び図４からわかるように、ワイパアーム（１４）または横方向部（２６）は、凹部（４８）を有している。組み立てられると、連結部材（２４）の端部（５０）が凹部（４８）に係合する。長手方向に延びる端部（５０）の側面は、凹部（４８）の内側面と同じ高さである。従って、ワイパアーム（１４）の自由端（１２）と連結部材（２４）とが、より安定して連結される。
図５からわかるように、連結部材（２４）の断面はＵ状であり、横方向部（５２）及び２つの脚片（５４）を備えている。２つの脚片（５４）は、支持部材（２２）に当接されている。脚片（５４）及び支持部材（２２）は、ピボットピン（５８）が挿入される、軸線（５６）を有するピボットピン受け部である孔を備えている。従って、連結部材（２４）を支持部材（２２）に対して、旋回可能に取り付けることができる。
また、支持部材（２２）は、互いに離れて対向して設けられ、支持手段（２０）をなすスプリングブレードの長手方向面に嵌合される受け溝（６０）を有している。前記長手方向面は、互いに対向して離れている。スプリングブレードを受け溝（６０）に固定するため、例えば固定ねじ、固定ボルト、接着剤、溶接等の種々の手段が用いられる。
図５からわかるように、ワイパブレードゴム（１８）は、払拭される風防ガラスと対向するワイパ片（６２）と、ワイパ片（６２）から対向して離れたスポイラ形状の突出部（６４）とを備えている。

Claims (18)

  1. 駆動可能なワイパアーム（１４）とワイパブレードゴム（１８）を備え、ワイパアーム（１４）に取り付け可能な平らなワイパブレード（１６）と、ワイパブレードゴム（１８）を支持し、かつバンド状の細長いスプリングブレードをなす支持手段（２０）と、ワイパアーム（１４）の自由端（１２）を連結する連結手段とを備える、車両の風防ガラスを払拭するワイパ装置において、
    連結手段は、支持手段（２０）に固定されて設けられた支持部材（２２）と、支持部材（２２）に対して少しだけ旋回可能として設けられた連結部材（２４）とを備え、連結部材（２４）をワイパアーム（１４）の自由端（１２）に、解除可能に連結できるようになっているワイパ装置。
  2. ワイパアーム（１４）の自由端（１２）は、長手方向に延び、かつ組み立てると、連結部材（２４）に設けられた舌受け部（３４）（３６）に嵌合しうる複数の舌部（３０）（３２）を備えていることを特徴とする、請求項１記載のワイパ装置。
  3. 舌部（３０）（３２）は、ワイパアーム（１４）の自由端（１２）と一体形成され、かつ少なくとも一部が、風防ガラスの方向へ突出していることを特徴とする、請求項２記載のワイパ装置。
  4. ワイパアーム（１４）の軸線方向における連結部材（２４）に対するワイパアーム（１４）の連結を、舌部（３０）（３２）を舌受け部（３４）（３６）に嵌合させることにより行わせるようになっていることを特徴とする、請求項２または３記載のワイパ装置。
  5. 組み立てると、ワイパアーム（１４）の自由端（１２）の端面（３８）は、連結部材（２４）の支持縁（４０）に少なくとも部分的に当接するようになっていることを特徴とする、請求項１〜４のいずれかに記載のワイパ装置。
  6. ワイパアーム（１４）の自由端（１２）は、ワイパアーム（１４）の軸線を横切り、かつ、風防ガラスと直交して延びる保持縁（４４）を備え、組み立て状態において、保持縁（４４）は、連結部材（２４）に設けられた作動部（４２）と協働し、作動部（４２）により、ワイパブレード（１６）をワイパアーム（１４）から取り外すことができるようになっていることを特徴とする、請求項１〜５のいずれかに記載のワイパ装置。
  7. 組み立てると、保持縁（４４）は、作動部（４２）の後方にラッチして、連結部材（２４）をワイパアーム（１４）に対して移動させないようになっていることを特徴とする、請求項６記載のワイパ装置。
  8. 作動部（４２）は、ワイパアーム（１４）の自由端の輪郭からはみ出ていないことを特徴とする、請求項７記載のワイパ装置。
  9. 作動部（４２）は、スプリング舌部（４６）の自由端に設けられ、連結部材（２４）の対向する側で長手方向に延び、かつ風防ガラスと平行であり、初期の応力方向とは反対の方向へ向かって作動するようになっていることを特徴とする、請求項６、７、または８記載のワイパ装置。
  10. ワイパアーム（１４）の自由端（１２）はＵ状であり、かつその開口側は、払拭される風防ガラスの方向を向いていることを特徴とする、請求項１〜９のいずれかに記載のワイパ装置。
  11. 横方向の力を受けるために、組み立て状態において、自由端（１２）は、少なくとも部分的に連結部材（２４）の周り、または後方に当接されていることを特徴とする、請求項１０記載のワイパ装置。
  12. 舌部（３０）（３２）を横方向部（２６）に設け、かつ保持縁（４４）を自由端（１２）の足部（２８）に設けたことを特徴とする、請求項１０記載のワイパ装置。
  13. ワイパアーム（１４）のＵ状の自由端（１２）の横方向部（２６）は、端部（５０）が少なくとも部分的に係合する少なくとも１つの凹部（４８）を備えていることを特徴とする、請求項１〜１２のいずれかに記載のワイパ装置。
  14. 端部（５０）はＵ状の断面を有し、かつ組み立て状態において、その脚片（５４）は、支持部材（２２）の周りまたは後方に係合し、脚片（５４）と支持部材（２２）との間に旋回手段を設けてあることを特徴とする、請求項１〜１３のいずれかに記載のワイパ装置。
  15. 連結部材（２４）または支持部材（２２）は、長手方向を横切り、かつ、軸線（５６）を有するピボットピン（５８）を備え、ピボットピン（５８）は、支持部材（２２）または連結部材（２４）に設けられたピボットピン受け部に少なくとも部分的に嵌合し、かつ少なくとも少しだけ旋回できるようになっていることを特徴とする、請求項１〜１４のいずれかに記載のワイパ装置。
  16. 連結部材（２４）の２つの脚片（５４）及び支持部材（２２）は、長手方向に対して横方向を向き、軸線（５６）上に整合して、ピボットピン（５８）に嵌合しうる孔を備えていることを特徴とする、請求項１４及び１５に記載のワイパ装置。
  17. 支持部材（２２）を支持手段（２０）に直接的に設けたことを特徴とする、請求項１〜１６のいずれかに記載のワイパ装置。
  18. 請求項１〜１７のいずれかに記載のワイパ装置のための平らなワイパブレード（１６）及びワイパアーム（１４）のいずれか一方、または双方。
