Abstract
Description
本願は、同時係属中の仮出願第60/347391号、2002年1月9日出願、に基づくものであり、米国特許法第119条第(e)項に基づく出願日の特典を請求するものである。
一つの実施形態において、本発明は、画像を生成するための一つのフォトダイオードを備えたディスプレイ型ラスタ走査と同種の走査システムを含んでいる。そうすることにより、本発明は伝統的な画像装置に比べ小型の画像装置を提供する。
上記概要において説明したように、本発明は、一つの実施形態において、小型の画像装置に関するものである。一つの実施形態において、その画像装置は、例えばカテーテルのような細長いさや状の物体の先端に位置している。そのさや状物体は、標的組織の外形を観察するために人体に挿入されることが可能である。一つの実施形態によれば、本発明の画像装置は、従来の内視鏡が大き過ぎて使用不能な場合に使用されるものである。
図2A及び2Bは本発明の別の実施形態200を表し、そこでは光源組立部品122、123、125及び127と光センサ組立部品124との両方がプラットフォーム126に据え付けられ、それゆえ、標的136上の複数の位置のそれぞれの方向を向くことができる。図1B及び1Cの実施形態において使用された広角度発散レンズよりむしろ、図2A及び2Bの例示の実施形態に従った光源組立部品レンズ(例えば、122b及び123b)は、光源組立部品から標的136上の走査される複数の位置のそれぞれへの光の焦点を合わせる固定焦点距離レンズである。この相違点以外は、図2A及び2Bの実施形態は、図1B及び1Cの実施形態と本質的に同様に動作する。
Claims (28)
- さや状物体と、
第一プラットフォーム上に据え付けられ、かつ標的部分の少なくとも一部を照射するためにそのさや状物体内に配置された光源と、
第二プラットフォーム上に据え付けられ、かつ標的部分の少なくとも一部から受信した光のエネルギーを感知するためにそのさや状物体内に配置された光センサと、
第一プラットフォームを、標的部分に関して少なくとも二次元的に動かすのに適合した可動組立部品とを含む人体に挿入可能な画像装置。 - 第一及び第二プラットフォームが同一のプラットフォームである請求項1の画像装置。
- 前記可動組立部品が標的部分に関して少なくとも二次元的に動くようにさらに適合されている請求項1の画像装置。
- 標的部分の少なくとも一部を照射するために配置された複数の光源をさらに含んでいる請求項1の画像装置。
- 前記複数の光源のうち少なくとも一つはLED、又はレーザーダイオードである請求項4の画像装置。
- 前記さや状物体は標的部分上の光の焦点を合わせるのに適合した絞りをさらに含んでいる請求項1の画像装置。
- 前記絞りは発散レンズ、又は固定焦点距離レンズを含む請求項6の画像装置。
- 前記光源は反射光、又は蛍光を与える請求項1の画像装置。
- 前記光センサは単一ピクセル光センサである請求項1の画像装置。
- 前記さや状物体は、標的部分における複数の照射された位置のそれぞれから受信した光のエネルギーの焦点を光センサに合わせるのに適合した絞りをさらに含んでいる請求項1の画像装置。
- 前記絞りは固定焦点距離レンズ、又は発散レンズを含む請求項10の画像装置。
- 前記可動組立部品は電磁物質を含む請求項1の画像装置。
- 前記可動組立部品は、第一プラットフォームの動作を制御するために可動プラットフォームと結合している電磁アクチュエータ、マイクロエレクトロニックマシン(MEMS)型アクチュエータ、又は圧電アクチュエータをさらに含んでいる請求項1の画像装置。
- 使い捨て可能である請求項1の画像装置。
- 光ファイバエレメントと、
その光ファイバエレメントの少なくとも一端を、標的部分に関して少なくとも二次元的に動かすことができるようにその光ファイバエレメントと結合した可動組立部品と、
標的部分の少なくとも一部を照射するためにその光ファイバエレメントと光通信する光源と、
標的部分の少なくとも一部から受信したエネルギーを感知するためにその光ファイバエレメントと光通信する光センサと、
その光源とその光ファイバエレメントとの間及びその光センサとその光ファイバエレメントとの間の光通信を提供するのに適合したビーム分離器/結合器とを含む人体に挿入可能な画像装置。 - 前記可動組立部品が、光的に、力学的に、電気的に、又は電気力学的に前記光ファイバエレメントと結合している請求項15の画像装置。
- 人体内部の標的部分に関してさや状物体を配置し、
そのさや状物体内に配置された光源を用いて標的部分の少なくとも一部を照射し、
そのさや状物体内に配置された光センサを用いて標的部分の少なくとも一部から受信したエネルギーを感知し、
可動組立部品を用いて標的部分に関して少なくとも二次元的に光センサを動かすことからなる人体内部の標的部分を撮影する方法。 - 少なくとも二次元的に光センサを動かすことにより標的部分を走査することがさらに含まれている請求項17の撮影法。
- 光センサを二次元的に動かすことに適合した一定速度のピポットジョイント上に可動組立部品を据え付けることがさらに含まれている請求項18の撮影法。
- 約1kHz以上の掃引周波数で標的部分を走査することがさらに含まれている請求項18の撮影法。
- 約2Hz以上のレートで標的部分を走査することがさらに含まれている請求項18の撮影法。
- 標的部分の複数位置のそれぞれに対し順番にパルスを送るカラーLEDが順番に配列されたフィールドの光源を提供し、
標的部分のカラー画像を生成するために、少なくとも二次元的に光センサを動かすことにより標的部分を走査することがさらに含まれている請求項17の撮影法。 - 標的部分のラスタ走査もしくは円形走査を作り出すために、二次元的に光センサを動かすことにより標的部分を走査することがさらに含まれている請求項17の撮影法。
- 標的部分の画像を生成するために、標的部分の複数位置のそれぞれから光センサにより受信された感知エネルギーを同期デジタル化することがさらに含まれている請求項17の撮影法。
- 光源から標的部分上の複数位置のそれぞれへの光を同期走査することがさらに含まれている請求項17の撮影法
- 人体内部の標的部分に対して光ファイバエレメントを挿入し、
光ファイバエレメントと結合した可動組立部品を用いて、標的部分に対して少なくとも二次元的に光ファイバエレメントを動かし、
光ファイバエレメントと光通信している光源を介して、標的部分の少なくとも一部を照射し、
光ファイバエレメントと光通信している光センサを介して、標的部分の少なくとも一部から受信したエネルギーを感知することからなる人体内部の標的部分を撮影する方法。 - 標的部分の画像を生成するために、標的部分の複数位置のそれぞれから光センサにより受信された感知エネルギーを同期デジタル化することがさらに含まれている請求項26の撮影法。
- 光源から標的部分上の複数位置のそれぞれへの光を同期走査することがさらに含まれている請求項27の撮影法。
