Abstract
【解決手段】 右バンクと左バンクのそれぞれに対し、制御軸の回転位置に伴って吸気弁のリフト特性を連続的に変化させる可変動弁機構を設ける。燃料カット中を含む所定の学習条件運転状態の下で(ステップ1)、リフト特性が最小となるように操作し(ステップ3,ステップ12)、そのときの制御軸センサの出力に基づいて、リフト特性の基準位置を学習・補正する(ステップ4〜9,ステップ13〜18)。右バンクの学習・補正を終了してから左バンクの学習・補正を開始するまでの間に所定のディレイ時間ΔDを設け(ステップ8)、左右バンクの学習時期を互いに異ならせる。

Claims (8)
- 少なくとも第1気筒群と第2気筒群とを含む複数の気筒群毎に、吸気弁又は排気弁のリフト特性を連続的に変化させる可変動弁機構と、そのリフト特性を検出する検出手段と、が設けられ、所定の学習運転状態の下で、上記可変動弁機構のリフト特性が所定の特性となるように操作し、そのときの検出手段の出力に基づいて、リフト特性の基準位置を学習又は補正する多気筒内燃機関の可変動弁装置において、
上記第1気筒群に対して上記基準位置の学習又は補正を行う第1学習時期と、上記第2気筒群に対して上記基準位置の学習又は補正を行う第2学習時期と、を異ならせたことを特徴とする多気筒内燃機関の可変動弁装置。 - 上記所定の学習運転状態が、車両減速中であって、かつ、燃料供給を停止している減速燃料カット状態であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の多気筒内燃機関の可変動弁装置。
- 上記複数の気筒群に対する学習又は補正が順次行われるように、学習又は補正を行う気筒群を制御することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の多気筒内燃機関の可変動弁装置。
- 上記第1学習群の学習又は補正が終了してから上記第2学習群の学習又は補正を開始するまでの間に所定の待機時間を設定したことを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の多気筒内燃機関の可変動弁装置。
- 上記所定の特性がリフト特性の最小値である請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の可変動弁装置。
- 上記リフト特性の最小値は、通常の機関運転中におけるリフト特性の最小目標値よりも更に小さい機構上の最小値である請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の多気筒内燃機関の可変動弁装置。
- 上記可変動弁機構が、制御軸の回転位置に応じてバルブリフト量及び作動角を連続的に変化させるリフト・作動角可変機構であり、上記検出手段が、上記制御軸の回転位置を検出する制御軸センサであることを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の多気筒内燃機関の可変動弁装置。
- 上記リフト・作動角可変機構が、上記制御軸に偏心して設けられた制御偏心軸部と、この制御偏心軸部に揺動可能に嵌合するロッカアームと、クランクシャフトに連動して回転する駆動軸と、この駆動軸に揺動可能に嵌合し、吸気弁又は排気弁を開閉する揺動カムと、上記駆動軸に偏心して設けられた駆動偏心軸部と、この駆動偏心軸部とロッカアームの一端とを連係する第1リンクと、上記ロッカアームの他端と揺動カムの先端とを連係する第2リンクと、を有することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の多気筒内燃機関の可変動弁装置。
