Abstract
【解決手段】発電セル12は、電解質膜・電極構造体14を第1及び第2金属セパレータ16、18により挟持している。第1金属セパレータ16は、薄板状金属プレートにより構成されており、外周端部を周回して第1シール部材40が一体化される。第1金属セパレータ16の外周縁部には、絞り加工部74が設けられており、第1シール部材40は、この絞り加工部74を覆う部位の厚さH1が、他の部分を覆う部位の厚さH2よりも大きく構成される。

Claims (4)
- 電解質膜の両側に電極を配設した電解質膜・電極構造体を、一対の金属セパレータにより挟持する燃料電池であって、
前記金属セパレータは、成形加工される金属プレートと、
前記金属プレートの少なくとも一方の外周面を覆うシール部材と、
を備えるとともに、
前記シール部材は、前記金属プレートの外周湾曲部乃至外周屈曲部を覆う部位の厚さが、その他の部分を覆う部位の厚さよりも大きく構成されることを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池において、前記シール部材は、前記金属プレートの端部を覆うとともに、
該端部を覆う部位の厚さが、その他の部分を覆う部位の厚さよりも大きく構成されることを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 電解質膜の両側に電極を配設した電解質膜・電極構造体を挟持する燃料電池用金属セパレータであって、

前記金属プレートの少なくとも一方の外周面を覆うシール部材と、
を備えるとともに、
