Abstract
【解決手段】 平均粒径が0.01〜0.06μm、アスペクト比が0.2〜1.0の非針状であるα−酸化第二鉄を、多価アルコールとオルガノポリシロキサンで被覆して成る表面処理α−酸化第二鉄(A)と、分散剤(B)としてオキシカルボン酸金属塩(B1)を含有する熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤。更にメチン系染料(C)を含有する熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤。上記熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤を用いて得られる熱可塑性樹脂組成物及び成形物。更に成形物に炭素膜を被覆して得られる成形物。

Description
また、比較的凝集がしにくいα−酸化第二鉄粒子についての技術も開示されている(特許文献2)が、上記特性を満足することは困難であった。
また、オキシカルボン酸金属塩(B1)が12−ヒドロキシステアリン酸金属塩であるので、更に表面処理α−酸化第二鉄(A)が良好に分散でき、透明性の高い樹脂成形物が得られる。
また、12−ヒドロキシステアリン酸金属塩が12−ヒドロキシステアリン酸カルシウムであるので更に好適に使用出来る。
また、オルガノポリシロキサンが、ジメチルポリシロキサンまたはメチル水素ポリシロキサンであるので、表面処理α−酸化第二鉄(A)が凝集せずに分散性に優れる。
また、本発明の熱可塑性樹脂組成物における熱可塑性樹脂が微生物崩壊性樹脂なので、環境負荷が少なく、延伸性、表面平滑性に優れた成形物が得られる。
表面処理α−酸化第二鉄(A)は、α−酸化第二鉄を、多価アルコールとオルガノポリシロキサンで被覆して成るものである。
本発明で用いられるα−酸化第二鉄は、平均粒径0.01〜0.06μmであり、好ましくは0.03〜0.05μmである。平均粒径が0.01μm未満の場合は粒子凝集、分散不良が発生するおそれがあり、0.06μmを超える場合は成形物の表面粗さが大きくなりすぎ、表面平滑性、透明性の低下、α−酸化第二鉄の凝集による成形物の外観不良のおそれがある。ここで平均粒径とは、短径、長径の平均を粒径として粒度分布の最大値を示した値をいう。
多価アルコールによるα−酸化第二鉄の表面処理は、粒子表面の低極性化及び粒子の再凝集防止を目的とする。
また、上記例示したメチル水素ポリシロキサンは、下記式で表されるものが望ましい。
湿式処理は、水またはエタノール等アルコールの極性溶媒中に、α−酸化第二鉄と表面処理剤を加え浸漬し、ヘンシェルミキサー、スーパーミキサー等の高剪断力混合機を用いて均一に混合した後、溶媒を蒸散、乾燥させて除去する方法や、溶剤に表面処理剤を分散または溶解させたものをα−酸化第二鉄に混和させる方法等がある。
湿式処理においては、表面処理中または処理後にα−酸化第二鉄粒子の加熱乾燥工程があると、水分吸着等による含水量が大きく低減できるので好ましい。このようにして得られた低含水量の酸化鉄は樹脂へ混練分散の際に樹脂劣化を抑えるので、樹脂の分子量低下の抑制や成形物における機械物性の保持等様々な利点がある。
α−酸化第二鉄の表面処理は、多価アルコールとオルガノポリシロキサン同時でも良いし、または、最初にオルガノポリシロキサン、次に多価アルコールでも良い。
また、表面処理α−酸化第二鉄(A)は、ポリエステル等の熱可塑性樹脂と溶融混練する工程においても熱凝集が抑制されるので、熱可塑性樹脂成形物中に良好に分散され、成形物における透明性の向上に優れる。
更に、表面処理α−酸化第二鉄(A)の表面水分量が少ないと、加水分解等熱可塑性樹脂への影響を抑制出来るので好ましい。水分量0.3%未満がより好ましい。
具体的にはステアリン酸、オレイン酸、ラウリル酸、ベヘニン酸、ベヘン酸、ミリスチン酸、モンタン酸等が挙げられる。脂肪族カルボン酸の金属塩としてはカルシウム、マグネシウム、リチウム、アルミニウム、亜鉛、ナトリウム、カリウム等が挙げられる。特にステアリン酸カルシウム、ステアリン酸マグネシウムが好ましい。
また、表面処理α−酸化第二鉄(A)、分散剤(B)、メチン系染料(C)を配合して同様に本発明の熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤が製造できる。この場合、α−酸化第二鉄(A)と分散剤(B)の混合物中にメチン系染料(C)を添加しても良いし、α−酸化第二鉄(A)、分散剤(B)、メチン系染料(C)を同時に混合しても良い。
また、上記の表面処理α−酸化第二鉄(A)と分散剤(B)からなる熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤は、メチン系染料(C)と熱可塑性樹脂とともに単軸、二軸押出機で押出することにより本発明の熱可塑性樹脂組成物が製造できる。
また、表面処理α−酸化第二鉄(A)と分散剤(B)とメチン系染料(C)とからなる熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤は、熱可塑性樹脂とともに同様に押出することにより本発明の熱可塑性樹脂組成物が製造できる。
また、本発明の成形物は、上記の熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤と、熱可塑性樹脂を配合して熱可塑性樹脂組成物(マスターバッチ)を作製し、この熱可塑性樹脂組成物と成形樹脂(成形用の熱可塑性樹脂)とを混合し、溶融混練、成形することによっても製造できる。また、上記の熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤と、熱可塑性樹脂を配合して熱可塑性樹脂組成物(コンパウンド)を作製し、そのままの組成で成形することによっても製造できる。
成形物の形状としては、ボトル、シート、フィルム、プレート等が挙げられる。
更に、上記成形物の例において、メチン系染料(C)を0.01重量部以上含有する場合、550nm付近の可視光線を70%を超えて遮蔽できる。
上記特性を有する条件として、成形物における上記成分の含有量は、厚さが0.3mmより薄ければ多くする必要があり、厚ければ低くてもよい。
尚、光線遮蔽率は(100%−光線透過率)で得られる値である。
なお、DLC膜と樹脂表面との密着性をさらに向上させるために、DLC膜を形成する前に、アルゴンや酸素などの無機ガスによってプラズマ処理を行い、樹脂成形物の表面を活性化させても良い。
本実施例において用いた材料については表1に示し、表面処理α−酸化第二鉄は表2、熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤は表3、熱可塑性樹脂組成物及び成形物の組成等については表4、評価試験の結果は表5に示した。
α−酸化第二鉄をジェットミルにより粉砕(使用流体:圧縮空気)しながら表面処理剤を添加し、酸化鉄(1)〜(6)を得た。多価アルコールとオルガノポリシロキサン併用の場合は同時に添加した。各表面処理剤は、表2に基づき所定の被覆量となるように公知の方法で、酸化鉄の処理重量と処理剤の供給濃度または供給流量を変化させることにより調整した。尚、トリメチロールプロパンはエタノールに分散したものを用いた。
酸化鉄(1)〜(6)各々100部に対し表3に示す分散剤を添加し、スーパーフローターで混合して熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤(1)〜(8)を作製した。
(実施例1〜10、比較例1〜4)
表4に記載のように、樹脂100部に熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤(1)〜(8)を各々添加し、ヘンシェルミキサーで混合し単軸押出機で押出ペレット化して熱可塑性樹脂組成物(1)〜(14)を得た。
PET99.76部に紫外線吸収剤としてTINUVIN234(チバ・スペシャリティ・ケミカルズ社製)を0.24部添加し、ヘンシェルミキサーで混合し単軸押出機で押出ペレット化して熱可塑性樹脂組成物(15)を得た。
(比較例6)
PET99.76部に紫外線遮蔽性レジンNOVAPEX U−110(三菱化学社製)を0.24部添加し、ヘンシェルミキサーで混合し単軸押出機で押出ペレット化して熱可塑性樹脂組成物(16)を得た。
表4に記載のように、各々の熱可塑性樹脂組成物(1)〜(14)で用いられたベース樹脂100部と、上記熱可塑性樹脂組成物6部とをタンブリングし、日精STRYCH-BLUWを使用して容量500mlの二軸延伸ボトルを作製した。
また、160℃4時間乾燥した熱可塑性樹脂組成物(15)、(16)100部を用い、各々同様に二軸延伸ボトルを作製した。
ボトル用DLC製膜装置において、補助ガスにアルゴンを用い、原料ガスとしてアセチレンガスを容器内部に導入し、高周波出力500W,原料ガス圧0.3torr,供給ガス流量75ml/min.の条件で、各々のボトルの内面にDLCを300Åの厚さで均一に被覆した(DLC膜厚測定は、ボトルの内面にあらかじめマジックインキ等でマスキングを行いDLC被覆した後、ジエチルエーテル等でマスキングを除去し、Vecco社製、表面形状測定器DECTACK3によって測定した。)。
(1)熱可塑性樹脂組成物の極限粘度(η)及び極限粘度保持率
樹脂を各々0.1g、0.3g、0.5gを含有する熱可塑性樹脂組成物を作成し、試料として用いた。
[極限粘度(η)]
フェノール/テトラクロロエタン=50/50(重量比)の混合溶媒100mlを用いて、熱可塑性樹脂組成物中の樹脂成分を溶解し、α−酸化第二鉄粒子を遠心分離除去した後の各樹脂溶液の30℃における粘度を測定し、定法に従い粘度/濃度の値を濃度に対してプロットし、濃度0に補外して極限粘度(η)を求めた。なお、ブランクは、樹脂のみを用いた。
極限粘度は、樹脂の劣化(加水分解)の状態を示すものであり、値が高いほど樹脂劣化が低いことを示す。
(熱可塑性樹脂組成物中の樹脂の極限粘度/ブランクの極限粘度)×100の値を求めた。この値が100に近いほど(熱可塑性樹脂組成物中の樹脂の極限粘度が、ブランクの極限粘度に近いほど)熱可塑性樹脂組成物中の樹脂の劣化は少ないといえる。
ボトル胴体部0.3mm厚の箇所を切り抜いて試料とし、以下の評価試験を行った。

4種類の波長380、400、420、550nmにおいて、空気をブランク(100%)として島津製作所製UV−265FWで測定した。
◎:遮蔽率99%以上
○:遮蔽率96%以上
△:遮蔽率70%以上
×:遮蔽率70%未満
空気をブランク(0)としてビックケミー・ジャパン(株)製ヘイズ・ガード・プラスにて測定した。成形樹脂だけで作製した成形物の場合は大体1前後の値である。透明性が高いと値は低くなり、くもり性が高いと値は高くなる。15以上のヘイズ値においては顕著にくもっていることが目視で確認できる。

×:10より大きい
DLCを施したボトル胴体部0.3mm厚の箇所を切り抜いて試料とし、ボトル内面の表面平滑性を評価した。また、ボトルを用いてガス透過性を評価した。
AFM(セイコーインスルメンツ社製)を用いて表面観察し、突起の最大高さを測定し以下の基準で評価した。
◎:0.5μm未満
○:0.8μm未満
△:1μm未満
×:1μm以上
ボトルをMODERN CONTROL社製OX−TRANT100を使用して、酸素の透過量を25℃で測定し、以下の基準で評価した。尚、実施例1で得られたボトルにおいて、DLC膜を製膜しない場合は×であった。
◎:0.0010ml/ボトル・24時間・atm未満
○:0.0030ml/ボトル・24時間・atm未満
△:0.0050ml/ボトル・24時間・atm未満
×:0.0050ml/ボトル・24時間・atm以上
また、本発明の成形物がフィルム(シュリンクフィルムを含む)の場合、これで対象物を包むことにより透明性を有しつつ紫外線遮蔽、可視光遮蔽、更にガス遮断が容易に可能となる。
Claims (18)
- 平均粒径が0.01〜0.06μm、アスペクト比が0.2〜1.0の非針状であるα−酸化第二鉄を、多価アルコールとオルガノポリシロキサンで被覆して成る表面処理α−酸化第二鉄(A)と、分散剤(B)としてオキシカルボン酸金属塩(B1)を含有する熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤。
- オキシカルボン酸金属塩(B1)が12−ヒドロキシステアリン酸金属塩である請求項1に記載の熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤。
- 12−ヒドロキシステアリン酸金属塩が、12−ヒドロキシステアリン酸カルシウムである請求項2に記載の熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤。
- 平均粒径が0.01〜0.06μm、アスペクト比が0.2〜1.0の非針状であるα−酸化第二鉄を、多価アルコールとオルガノポリシロキサンで被覆して成る表面処理α−酸化第二鉄(A)と、分散剤(B)として高級脂肪酸金属塩(B2)を含有する熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤。
- 多価アルコールまたはオルガノポリシロキサンが、表面処理α−酸化第二鉄(A)全体に対してそれぞれ0.01〜10重量%である請求項1〜4いずれかに記載の熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤。
- 多価アルコールが、トリメチロールプロパンまたはトリメチロールエタンである請求項1〜5いずれかに記載の熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤。
- オルガノポリシロキサンが、ジメチルポリシロキサンまたはメチル水素ポリシロキサンである請求項1〜6いずれかに記載の熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤。
- 表面処理α−酸化第二鉄(A)100重量部に対して、分散剤(B)40〜150重量部を配合する請求項1〜7いずれかに記載の熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤。
- 請求項1〜8いずれかに記載の熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤に、メチン系染料(C)を含有する熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤。
- 請求項9に記載のメチン系染料(C)が、C.I.No.Solvent Brown53である熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤。
- 請求項1〜8いずれかに記載の熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤と、メチン系染料(C)と、熱可塑性樹脂を配合して得られる熱可塑性樹脂組成物。
- 請求項11に記載のメチン系染料(C)が、C.I.No.Solvent Brown53である熱可塑性樹脂組成物。
- 請求項1〜10いずれかに記載の熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤と、熱可塑性樹脂とを配合して得られる熱可塑性樹脂組成物。
- 熱可塑性樹脂がポリエステル樹脂である請求項11〜13いずれかに記載の熱可塑性樹脂組成物。
- 熱可塑性樹脂が微生物崩壊性樹脂である請求項11〜14いずれかに記載の熱可塑性樹脂組成物。
- 請求項1〜10いずれか記載の熱可塑性樹脂用着色剤を用いて得られる成形物。
- 請求項11〜15いずれか記載の熱可塑性樹脂組成物を用いて得られる成形物。
- 請求項16又は17に記載の成形物の表面に炭素膜が被覆された成形物。
