Claims (12)

  1. 1種以上の青色発光蛍光体、1種以上の緑色発光蛍光体及び1種以上の赤色発光蛍光体を含む、液晶ディスプレイ(「LCD」)のバックライト光源用の蛍光体組成物であって、上記1種以上の青色発光蛍光体が(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)MgAl1017:Eu2+、(Sr,Ca)10(PO4)6・nB23:Eu2+(式中、0<n<1である。)、2SrO・0.84P25・0.16B23:Eu2+、Sr2Si38・2SrCl2:Eu2+、Ba3MgSi28:Eu2+、Sr4Al1425:Eu2+、BaAl813:Eu2+及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択され、上記1種以上の緑色発光蛍光体が(Ba,Sr,Ca)MgAl1017:Eu2+,Mn2+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)Al24:Eu2+、(Y,Gd,Lu,Sc,La)BO3:Ce3+,Tb3+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)2SiO4:Eu2+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)2(Mg,Zn)Si27:Eu2+、(Sr,Ca,Ba)(Al,Ga,In)24:Eu2+、(Y,Gd,Tb,La,Sm,Pr,Lu)x(Al,Ga,In)y12:Ce3+(式中、xは2.8〜3の範囲内にあり、yは4.9〜5.1の範囲内にある。)、(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg,Zn)227:Eu2+,Mn2+、(Ca,Sr,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+,Mn2+、(Ca,Sr,Ba)8(Mg,Zn)(SiO4)4(Cl,F)2:Eu2+,Mn2+及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択され、上記1種以上の赤色発光蛍光体が(Gd,Y,Lu,La)23:Eu3+,Bi3+、(Gd,Y,Lu,La)22S:Eu3+,Bi3+、(Gd,Y,Lu,La)VO4:Eu3+,Bi3+、SrS:Eu2+、SrY24:Eu2+、CaLa24:Ce3+、(Ca,Sr)S:Eu2+、3.5MgO・0.5MgF2・GeO2:Mn4+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)MgP27:Eu2+,Mn2+及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、蛍光体組成物。
  2. 前記蛍光体組成物が、前記バックライト光源から放出される第一のスペクトルの光の少なくとも一部分を吸収し、前記第一のスペクトルとは異なる第二のスペクトルを有する光を放出する、請求項1記載の蛍光体組成物。
  3. 前記第二のスペクトルが、440〜460nm、550〜570nm及び630〜680nmの波長領域において可視スペクトルの他の1以上の領域よりも高い強度を有する、請求項2記載の蛍光体組成物。
  4. 前記蛍光体組成物が、(Sr0.79Eu0.1Mn0.1Mg0.11)227、(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+及び3.5MgO・0.5MgF2・GeO2:Mn4+を含む、請求項1記載の蛍光体組成物。
  5. 前記蛍光体組成物が、(Ca,Sr,Ba)8(Mg,Zn)(SiO4)4(Cl,F)2:Eu2+,Mn2+、(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+及び3.5MgO・0.5MgF2・GeO2:Mn4+を含む、請求項1記載の蛍光体組成物。
  6. 少なくとも300〜450nmの範囲に第一のスペクトルを有する光を放出するバックライト光源と、
    1種以上の青色発光蛍光体、1種以上の緑色発光蛍光体及び1種以上の赤色発光蛍光体を含む蛍光体組成物と
    を含んでなるLCD用のバックライト装置であって、
    上記1種以上の青色発光蛍光体が(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)MgAl1017:Eu2+、(Sr,Ca)10(PO4)6・nB23:Eu2+(式中、0<n<1である。)、2SrO・0.84P25・0.16B23:Eu2+、Sr2Si38・2SrCl2:Eu2+、Ba3MgSi28:Eu2+、Sr4Al1425:Eu2+、BaAl813:Eu2+及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択され、上記1種以上の緑色発光蛍光体が(Ba,Sr,Ca)MgAl1017:Eu2+,Mn2+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)Al24:Eu2+、(Y,Gd,Lu,Sc,La)BO3:Ce3+,Tb3+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)2SiO4:Eu2+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)2(Mg,Zn)Si27:Eu2+、(Sr,Ca,Ba)(Al,Ga,In)24:Eu2+、(Y,Gd,Tb,La,Sm,Pr,Lu)x(Al,Ga,In)y12:Ce3+(式中、xは2.8〜3の範囲内にあり、yは4.9〜5.1の範囲内にある。)、(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg,Zn)227:Eu2+,Mn2+、(Ca,Sr,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+,Mn2+、(Ca,Sr,Ba)8(Mg,Zn)(SiO4)4(Cl,F)2:Eu2+,Mn2+及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択され、上記1種以上の赤色発光蛍光体が(Gd,Y,Lu,La)23:Eu3+,Bi3+、(Gd,Y,Lu,La)22S:Eu3+,Bi3+、(Gd,Y,Lu,La)VO4:Eu3+,Bi3+、SrS:Eu2+、SrY24:Eu2+、CaLa24:Ce3+、(Ca,Sr)S:Eu2+、3.5MgO・0.5MgF2・GeO2:Mn4+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)MgP27:Eu2+,Mn2+及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択され、
    上記蛍光体組成物が、上記第一のスペクトルの少なくとも一部分の光を吸収し、第一のスペクトルとは異なる第二のスペクトルを有する光を放出するように配置されている、バックライト装置。
  7. 前記第二のスペクトルが、440〜460nm、550〜570nm及び630〜680nmの波長領域において可視スペクトルの他の1以上の領域よりも高い強度を有する、請求項6記載のバックライト装置。
  8. 前記蛍光体組成物が、(Sr0.79Eu0.1Mn0.1Mg0.11)227、(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+及び3.5MgO・0.5MgF2・GeO2:Mn4+を含む、請求項6記載のバックライト装置。
  9. 前記蛍光体組成物が、(Ca,Sr,Ba)8(Mg,Zn)(SiO4)4(Cl,F)2:Eu2+,Mn2+、(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+及び3.5MgO・0.5MgF2・GeO2:Mn4+を含む、請求項6記載のバックライト装置。
  10. (a)(1)少なくとも300〜450nmの範囲に第一のスペクトルを有する光を放出するバックライト光源と、
    (2)1種以上の青色発光蛍光体、1種以上の緑色発光蛍光体及び1種以上の赤色発光蛍光体を含む蛍光体組成物と
    を含んでなるバックライト装置であって、
    前記1種以上の青色発光蛍光体が(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)MgAl1017:Eu2+、(Sr,Ca)10(PO4)6・nB23:Eu2+(式中、0<n<1である。)、2SrO・0.84P25・0.16B23:Eu2+、Sr2Si38・2SrCl2:Eu2+、Ba3MgSi28:Eu2+、Sr4Al1425:Eu2+、BaAl813:Eu2+及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択され、前記1種以上の緑色発光蛍光体が(Ba,Sr,Ca)MgAl1017:Eu2+,Mn2+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)Al24:Eu2+、(Y,Gd,Lu,Sc,La)BO3:Ce3+,Tb3+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)2SiO4:Eu2+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)2(Mg,Zn)Si27:Eu2+、(Sr,Ca,Ba)(Al,Ga,In)24:Eu2+、(Y,Gd,Tb,La,Sm,Pr,Lu)x(Al,Ga,In)y12:Ce3+(式中、xは2.8〜3の範囲内にあり、yは4.9〜5.1の範囲内にある。)、(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg,Zn)227:Eu2+,Mn2+、(Ca,Sr,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+,Mn2+、(Ca,Sr,Ba)8(Mg,Zn)(SiO4)4(Cl,F)2:Eu2+,Mn2+及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択され、前記1種以上の赤色発光蛍光体が(Gd,Y,Lu,La)23:Eu3+,Bi3+、(Gd,Y,Lu,La)22S:Eu3+,Bi3+、(Gd,Y,Lu,La)VO4:Eu3+,Bi3+、SrS:Eu2+、SrY24:Eu2+、CaLa24:Ce3+、(Ca,Sr)S:Eu2+、3.5MgO・0.5MgF2・GeO2:Mn4+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)MgP27:Eu2+,Mn2+及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択され、
    前記蛍光体組成物が、前記第一のスペクトルの少なくとも一部分の光を吸収し、前記第一のスペクトルとは異なる第二のスペクトルを有する光を放出するように配置されている、バックライト装置、並びに
    前記第二のスペクトルを有する光を受光するように配置された液晶材料
    を含んでなる液晶ディスプレイ。
  11. 前記液晶材料が1対の第一及び第二の実質的に透明な板の間に配置されており、各々の前記板の前記液晶材料に隣接した表面が電極を担持していて、二つの電極の重なり合った領域が前記液晶ディスプレイの複数のピクセルを定義しており、青色光、緑色光及び赤色光を前記液晶材料に通過させる色フィルターが三つごとの隣接したピクセル上に配設されている、請求項10記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
  12. 前記第二のスペクトルが、440〜460nm、550〜570nm及び630〜680nmの波長領域において可視スペクトルの他の1以上の領域よりも高い強度を有する、請求項10記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
