Technology)所頒佈之章程 7〇 NANN8H4022。 【先前技術】 本發明大體上有關一種液晶顯示器("LCD”)及其背光 源。本發明尤其有關一種用於彩色LCD之改良背光源使用 的麟摻合物。 LCD廣泛使用於電子工業產品,由行動電話、計算機、 及手錶’以至電腦及汽車中之資訊顯示器。LCD在諸如尺 寸、價格、設計、變通性、可信度、及電力消耗之領域中, 具有許多超越同等顯示技術的優點。此等優點使得Lcd成 為電子裝置設計者所泛用之選擇。 液晶材料之特徵在於通經液晶薄層之透光度可藉由施加 電場於該材料上而改變。LCD利用此種性質。 LCD之必要成份係為容裝於兩片由諸如玻璃或有機聚合 物之材料所製得的透明板之間的薄層液晶材料。該透明板 之内表面係配置有透明電極,其界定欲顯示之圖案、文字 或影像。該透明板之外表面配置有偏光板。於一對對應之 電極兩端施加電壓時,視該偏光透鏡之相對取向,而阻斷 光線或使之通經該組合件。兩電極重疊之位置界定該顯示 益之一像素。該顯示器係稱為被動陣列型顯示器。主動陣 列型顯示器中,薄膜電晶體(TFT)矩陣係配置於一透明板
