Abstract
【解決手段】可視スペクトルの青色、緑色及び赤色領域の各々で発光する1種以上の蛍光体を含む蛍光体組成物を、カラー液晶ディスプレイのバックライト光源に隣接して配置する。該蛍光体組成物として、例えば、緑色蛍光発光体が(Sr0.79Eu0.1Mn0.1Mg0.11)2P2O7,青色蛍光発光体が(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+、赤色発光蛍光体が3.5MgO・0.5MgF2・GeO2:Mn4+が挙げられる。

Claims (28)
- 1種以上の青色発光蛍光体、1種以上の緑色発光蛍光体及び1種以上の赤色発光蛍光体を含む、液晶ディスプレイ(「LCD」)のバックライト光源用の蛍光体組成物であって、上記1種以上の青色発光蛍光体が(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)MgAl10O17:Eu2+、(Sr,Ca)10(PO4)6・nB2O3:Eu2+(式中、0<n<1である。)、2SrO・0.84P2O5・0.16B2O3:Eu2+、Sr2Si3O8・2SrCl2:Eu2+、Ba3MgSi2O8:Eu2+、Sr4Al14O25:Eu2+、BaAl8O13:Eu2+及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択され、上記1種以上の緑色発光蛍光体が(Ba,Sr,Ca)MgAl10O17:Eu2+,Mn2+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)Al2O4:Eu2+、(Y,Gd,Lu,Sc,La)BO3:Ce3+,Tb3+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)2SiO4:Eu2+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)2(Mg,Zn)Si2O7:Eu2+、(Sr,Ca,Ba)(Al,Ga,In)2S4:Eu2+、(Y,Gd,Tb,La,Sm,Pr,Lu)x(Al,Ga,In)yO12:Ce3+(式中、xは約2.8〜3の範囲内にあり、yは約4.9〜約5.1の範囲内にある。)、(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg,Zn)2P2O7:Eu2+,Mn2+、(Ca,Sr,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+,Mn2+、(Ca,Sr,Ba)8(Mg,Zn)(SiO4)4(Cl,F)2:Eu2+,Mn2+及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択され、上記1種以上の赤色発光蛍光体が(Gd,Y,Lu,La)2O3:Eu3+,Bi3+、(Gd,Y,Lu,La)2O2S:Eu3+,Bi3+、(Gd,Y,Lu,La)VO4:Eu3+,Bi3+、SrS:Eu2+、SrY2S4:Eu2+、CaLa2S4:Ce3+、(Ca,Sr)S:Eu2+、3.5MgO・0.5MgF2・GeO2:Mn4+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)MgP2O7:Eu2+,Mn2+及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択される、蛍光体組成物。
- 前記蛍光体組成物が、前記バックライト光源から放出される第一のスペクトルの光の少なくとも一部分を吸収し、前記第一のスペクトルとは異なる第二のスペクトルを有する光を放出する、請求項1記載の蛍光体組成物。
- 前記第二のスペクトルが、約440〜460nm、約550〜570nm及び約630〜680nmの波長領域において可視スペクトルの他の1以上の領域よりも高い強度を有する、請求項2記載の蛍光体組成物。
- 前記蛍光体組成物が、(Sr0.79Eu0.1Mn0.1Mg0.11)2P2O7、(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+及び3.5MgO・0.5MgF2・GeO2:Mn4+を含む、請求項1記載の蛍光体組成物。
- 前記蛍光体組成物が、(Ca,Sr,Ba)8(Mg,Zn)(SiO4)4(Cl,F)2:Eu2+,Mn2+、(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+及び3.5MgO・0.5MgF2・GeO2:Mn4+を含む、請求項1記載の蛍光体組成物。
- 少なくとも約300〜約450nmの範囲に第一のスペクトルを有する光を放出するバックライト光源と、
1種以上の青色発光蛍光体、1種以上の緑色発光蛍光体及び1種以上の赤色発光蛍光体を含む蛍光体組成物と
を含んでなるLCD用のバックライト装置であって、
上記1種以上の青色発光蛍光体が(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)MgAl10O17:Eu2+、(Sr,Ca)10(PO4)6・nB2O3:Eu2+(式中、0<n<1である。)、2SrO・0.84P2O5・0.16B2O3:Eu2+、Sr2Si3O8・2SrCl2:Eu2+、Ba3MgSi2O8:Eu2+、Sr4Al14O25:Eu2+、BaAl8O13:Eu2+及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択され、上記1種以上の緑色発光蛍光体が(Ba,Sr,Ca)MgAl10O17:Eu2+,Mn2+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)Al2O4:Eu2+、(Y,Gd,Lu,Sc,La)BO3:Ce3+,Tb3+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)2SiO4:Eu2+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)2(Mg,Zn)Si2O7:Eu2+、(Sr,Ca,Ba)(Al,Ga,In)2S4:Eu2+、(Y,Gd,Tb,La,Sm,Pr,Lu)x(Al,Ga,In)yO12:Ce3+(式中、xは約2.8〜3の範囲内にあり、yは約4.9〜約5.1の範囲内にある。)、(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg,Zn)2P2O7:Eu2+,Mn2+、(Ca,Sr,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+,Mn2+、(Ca,Sr,Ba)8(Mg,Zn)(SiO4)4(Cl,F)2:Eu2+,Mn2+及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択され、上記1種以上の赤色発光蛍光体が(Gd,Y,Lu,La)2O3:Eu3+,Bi3+、(Gd,Y,Lu,La)2O2S:Eu3+,Bi3+、(Gd,Y,Lu,La)VO4:Eu3+,Bi3+、SrS:Eu2+、SrY2S4:Eu2+、CaLa2S4:Ce3+、(Ca,Sr)S:Eu2+、3.5MgO・0.5MgF2・GeO2:Mn4+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)MgP2O7:Eu2+,Mn2+及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択され、
上記蛍光体組成物が、上記第一のスペクトルの少なくとも一部分の光を吸収し、第一のスペクトルとは異なる第二のスペクトルを有する光を放出するように配置されている、バックライト装置。 - 前記第二のスペクトルが、約440〜460nm、約550〜570nm及び約630〜680nmの波長領域において可視スペクトルの他の1以上の領域よりも高い強度を有する、請求項6記載のバックライト装置。
- 前記蛍光体組成物が、(Sr0.79Eu0.1Mn0.1Mg0.11)2P2O7、(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+及び3.5MgO・0.5MgF2・GeO2:Mn4+を含む、請求項6記載のバックライト装置。
- 前記蛍光体組成物が、(Ca,Sr,Ba)8(Mg,Zn)(SiO4)4(Cl,F)2:Eu2+,Mn2+、(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+及び3.5MgO・0.5MgF2・GeO2:Mn4+を含む、請求項6記載のバックライト装置。
- 前記蛍光体組成物を実質的に透明な樹脂中に分散させて混合物を形成し、該混合物から光変換層を形成してLCDのバックライト光源と液晶材料層との間に配置する、請求項6記載のバックライト装置。
- 前記実質的に透明な樹脂が、アクリル樹脂、エポキシ樹脂、シリコーン及びシリコーン官能化エポキシ樹脂からなる群から選択される1種以上の材料からなる、請求項10記載のバックライト装置。
- 前記混合物がさらに光散乱性物質の粒子を含む、請求項10記載のバックライト装置。
- 前記バックライト光源が1以上の発光ダイオード(「LED」)からなる、請求項6記載のバックライト装置。
- 前記混合物がLEDの発光素子上に配置される、請求項13記載のバックライト装置。
- 前記バックライト光源が1以上の有機エレクトロルミネセンス素子(「OLED」)からなる、請求項6記載のバックライト装置。
- 前記OLEDが二つの電極間に配置された有機発光層からなり、前記電極間に電圧が印加されたときに前記有機発光層が光を放出する、請求項15記載のバックライト装置。
- (a)(1)少なくとも約300〜約450nmの範囲に第一のスペクトルを有する光を放出するバックライト光源と、
(2)1種以上の青色発光蛍光体、1種以上の緑色発光蛍光体及び1種以上の赤色発光蛍光体を含む蛍光体組成物と
を含んでなるバックライト装置であって、
前記1種以上の青色発光蛍光体が(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)MgAl10O17:Eu2+、(Sr,Ca)10(PO4)6・nB2O3:Eu2+(式中、0<n<1である。)、2SrO・0.84P2O5・0.16B2O3:Eu2+、Sr2Si3O8・2SrCl2:Eu2+、Ba3MgSi2O8:Eu2+、Sr4Al14O25:Eu2+、BaAl8O13:Eu2+及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択され、前記1種以上の緑色発光蛍光体が(Ba,Sr,Ca)MgAl10O17:Eu2+,Mn2+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)Al2O4:Eu2+、(Y,Gd,Lu,Sc,La)BO3:Ce3+,Tb3+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)2SiO4:Eu2+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)2(Mg,Zn)Si2O7:Eu2+、(Sr,Ca,Ba)(Al,Ga,In)2S4:Eu2+、(Y,Gd,Tb,La,Sm,Pr,Lu)x(Al,Ga,In)yO12:Ce3+(式中、xは約2.8〜3の範囲内にあり、yは約4.9〜約5.1の範囲内にある。)、(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg,Zn)2P2O7:Eu2+,Mn2+、(Ca,Sr,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+,Mn2+、(Ca,Sr,Ba)8(Mg,Zn)(SiO4)4(Cl,F)2:Eu2+,Mn2+及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択され、前記1種以上の赤色発光蛍光体が(Gd,Y,Lu,La)2O3:Eu3+,Bi3+、(Gd,Y,Lu,La)2O2S:Eu3+,Bi3+、(Gd,Y,Lu,La)VO4:Eu3+,Bi3+、SrS:Eu2+、SrY2S4:Eu2+、CaLa2S4:Ce3+、(Ca,Sr)S:Eu2+、3.5MgO・0.5MgF2・GeO2:Mn4+、(Ba,Sr,Ca)MgP2O7:Eu2+,Mn2+及びこれらの混合物からなる群から選択され、
前記蛍光体組成物が、前記第一のスペクトルの少なくとも一部分の光を吸収し、前記第一のスペクトルとは異なる第二のスペクトルを有する光を放出するように配置されている、バックライト装置、並びに
前記第二のスペクトルを有する光を受光するように配置された液晶材料
を含んでなる液晶ディスプレイ。 - 前記液晶材料が1対の第一及び第二の実質的に透明な板の間に配置されており、各々の前記板の前記液晶材料に隣接した表面が電極を担持していて、二つの電極の重なり合った領域が前記液晶ディスプレイの複数のピクセルを定義しており、青色光、緑色光及び赤色光を前記液晶材料に通過させる色フィルターが三つごとの隣接したピクセル上に配設されている、請求項17記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記第二のスペクトルが、約440〜460nm、約550〜570nm及び約630〜680nmの波長領域において可視スペクトルの他の1以上の領域よりも高い強度を有する、請求項17記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記蛍光体組成物が、(Sr0.79Eu0.1Mn0.1Mg0.11)2P2O7、(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+及び3.5MgO・0.5MgF2・GeO2:Mn4+を含む、請求項17記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記蛍光体組成物が、(Ca,Sr,Ba)8(Mg,Zn)(SiO4)4(Cl,F)2:Eu2+,Mn2+、(Sr,Ca,Ba,Mg)10(PO4)6(F,Cl,Br,OH):Eu2+及び3.5MgO・0.5MgF2・GeO2:Mn4+を含む、請求項17記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記蛍光体組成物を実質的に透明な樹脂中に分散させて混合物を形成し、前記混合物から前記LCDの前記バックライト光源と液晶材料層との間に配置された光変換層が形成される、請求項17記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記実質的に透明な樹脂が、アクリル樹脂、エポキシ樹脂、シリコーン及びシリコーン官能化エポキシ樹脂からなる群から選択される1種以上の材料からなる、請求項22記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記混合物がさらに光散乱性物質の粒子を含む、請求項22記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記バックライト光源が1以上の発光ダイオード(「LED」)からなる、請求項17記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記混合物がLEDの発光素子上に配置される、請求項25記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記バックライト光源が1以上のOLEDからなる、請求項17記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記OLEDが二つの電極間に配置された有機発光層からなり、該電極間に電圧を印加したときに有機発光層が光を放出する、請求項27記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
