Abstract
【解決手段】 本発明の形成方法では、螺旋補強ビード(8)をリボン(5)の隣り合う相互オーバーラップ層の間に介在して設ける。先ず最初に、好ましくは導管の基剤ポリマーとは異なる基剤ポリマーを有する犠牲層(17)をフォーマ(1)に被着させ、その後に導管(6)をこれを覆った状態で形成する。

Description
本発明の要旨は、別の特徴として、先の段落のうち何れか一に記載の方法に従って形成された導管にあるということができる。
1.ダミー層は、溶融プラスチックによって汚染されないようマンドレル上の螺旋に配置された回転ロッドを保護する。
2.犠牲層は、プロセスの安定性を高めると共に、導管壁を形成する相互オーバーラップ状態の層が互いに滑って動くのを阻止するのに役立つことがある。
3.犠牲層は、マンドレル又は回転ロッド上の鋭い縁部又は小さな突起とフィルム又はリボンとの間の保護バリヤとなる。
4.犠牲層は、薄いフィルムをマンドレルの高い動作温度から遮蔽し、フィルムの過熱の度合いを減少させる。
導管を成形する上述の方法は、1対のヒータワイヤを導管壁中へ巻回するオンラインプロセスを開示している。1対のヒータワイヤを予備成形テープ内に設け、次にこのテープを用いて上述すると共に図3に示した方法と類似した方法で導管の壁を形成することが計画される。図9a及び図9bは、1対の互いに平行なワイヤをテープの一方の縁部から距離xを置いたところに配設することにより形成されているかかるテープの断面を示している。ワイヤと縁部との間のテープの長さx分をテープの残部上に折り返して矢印32で示すように1対の互いに平行なワイヤを包囲する。次に、二次熱溶接法を用いてテープの折返し部分を結合して互いに平行なワイヤを永続的に植え込む。しかしながら、折返しが行われるときに押出しテープが溶融状態又は半溶融状態であれば、二次熱溶接法が不要である場合があることは理解されよう。この場合、溶融層の2つの領域は、折り返して互いに圧接すると、互いに結合するであろう。

Claims (24)
- 導管を連続的に形成する方法であって、
各々が「先導」側縁部及び「後続」側縁部を備えた少なくとも1つの薄いフィルムリボンを、前記導管を回転させると共に前進させるフォーマに螺旋に連続的に巻き付けて、リボンの各ターンの先導側縁部がフォーマ上のリボンの先のターンの後続側縁部の上側に重なると共に各ターンの後続側縁部が次のターンの先導側縁部の下側に重なるようにする工程と、
前記ターンの前記上側重なりに先立って、溶融プラスチックのビードを前記フォーマ上に直近につけられたターンの露出状態の後続側縁部に沿って被着させて前記ビードが前記後続側縁部と前記上に重なる先導側縁部との間に位置するようにする工程と、を有して
いることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記薄いフィルムリボンは、その上側重なり部分に沿って前記ビードの輪郭に一致するよう少なくとも側方が十分に柔軟であり、上側重なり状態のリボンが前記ビードの後続側縁部のところで下側重なり状態のリボンに出会い又は実質的に出会うことができるようになっている、
ことを特徴とする請求項1記載の導管の連続形成方法。 - 前記リボンは、通気性プラスチック材料である、
ことを特徴とする請求項1又は2記載の導管の連続形成方法。 - 前記リボンは、通気性プラスチック材料の層が、これ又水蒸気を通過させることができる補強層に積層されている積層品である、
ことを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のうち何れか一に記載の導管の連続形成方法。 - 前記薄いフィルムのリボンの厚さは、50ミクロン未満である、
ことを特徴とする請求項1ないし4のうち何れか一に記載の導管の連続形成方法。 - 1本以上の発熱ワイヤをビードの被着前にリボンの露出後続側縁部に取り付けてビードが前記後続側縁部上に取り付けられた前記1本以上の発熱ワイヤを封入するようにする工程を更に有している、
ことを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のうち何れか一に記載の導管の連続形成方法。 - フォーマは、軸線周りに互いに間隔を置いて設けられていて、形成中、導管を支持した状態で前進させるよう作用する複数の回転ロッドを有し、
前記方法は、まず最初に薄いプラスチックの犠牲層を前記フォーマに巻き付け、その後、前記犠牲層を覆った状態で前記導管を前記フォーマ上に形成する工程と、
前記導管の形成に続き、冷却後に前記犠牲層を前記薄肉の導管の内側から除去する工程と、を更に有して、
いることを特徴とする請求項1ないし6のうち何れか一に記載の導管の連続形成方法。 - 前記犠牲層は、「先導」側縁部及び「後続」側縁部を備えた薄いリボンであり、前記犠牲層は、連続的に前記フォーマに螺旋に巻き付けられ、犠牲層の各ターンの先導側縁部がフォーマ上の犠牲層の先のターンの後続側縁部の上側に重なると共に各ターンの後続側縁部が次のターンの先導側縁部の下側に重なるようにする、
ことを特徴とする請求項7記載の導管の連続形成方法。 - 前記犠牲層は、前記導管の基剤ポリマーとは異なる基剤ポリマーを有する材料で作られていて、前記犠牲層及び前記導管の隣り合う層を加熱しても実質的な接着が起こらないようになっている、
ことを特徴とする請求項7又は8記載の導管の連続形成方法。 - 導管を連続的に製造する方法であって、
薄いプラスチックの犠牲層をフォーマの周りにぐるりと被着させ、フォーマが前記導管を回転させると共に前進させるようにする工程と、
前記犠牲層を覆った状態で導管を前記フォーマ上に形成する工程と、
前記犠牲層を冷却後に前記導管の内側から除去する工程と、を有している、
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記犠牲層は、「先導」側縁部及び「後続」側縁部を備えた薄いリボンであり、前記リボンは、連続的に前記フォーマに螺旋に巻き付けられ、リボンの各ターンの先導側縁部がフォーマ上のリボンの先のターンの後続側縁部の上側に重なると共に各ターンの後続側縁部が次のターンの先導側縁部の下側に重なるようにする、
ことを特徴とする請求項10記載の導管の連続形成方法。 - 前記犠牲層は、前記導管の基剤ポリマーとは異なる基剤ポリマーを有する材料で作られていて、前記犠牲層及び前記導管の隣り合う層を加熱しても実質的に接着が起こらないようになっている、
ことを特徴とする請求項10又は11記載の導管の連続形成方法。 - 前記導管の肉厚は、400ミクロン未満である、
ことを特徴とする請求項10ないし12のうち何れか一に記載の導管の連続製造方法。 - 請求項1ないし9のうち何れか一に記載の方法により形成された導管。
- 請求項10ないし13のうち何れか一に記載の方法により形成された導管。
- 導管であって、
先導側縁部及び後続側縁部を備えた少なくとも1つの薄いプラスチックリボンを有し、
前記リボンは、そのフェースが螺旋軸線に実質的に平行に且つその端部から間隔を置いた状態で螺旋状に配置され、リボンの各ターンの先導側縁部は、先のターンの後続側縁部の上側に重なり、リボンの各ターンの後続側縁部は、次のターンの先導側縁部の下側に重なり、
前記導管は、上側重なり状態にある先導側縁部と後続側縁部とのそれぞれの間に介在したプラスチック補強ビードを更に有している、
ことを特徴とする導管。 - 前記リボンは、通気性プラスチック材料で作られている、
ことを特徴とする請求項16記載の導管。 - 前記プラスチック補強ビードは、前記ビード内に封入された1本以上の発熱ワイヤを有している、
ことを特徴とする請求項16又は17記載の導管。 - 導管を連続的に形成する装置であって、
少なくとも1つの薄いプラスチックリボンを受け入れるフォーマを有し、前記フォーマは、その周りに前記リボンを引き入れ、前記リボンをこれに沿って前進させて前記リボンの螺旋構造を形成し、前記螺旋構造のピッチは、前記リボンの幅よりも幾分小さく、
前記装置は、リボンを前記フォーマ上の第1の位置で前記フォーマに送る手段と、溶融ビードを前記リボンを送る第1の位置から見て1ターンピッチ未満のところの第2の位置で前記フォーマに連続的に送る手段とを更に有し、前記第2の位置は、リボンを送る前記手段によって送られるリボンの後続側縁部の予想位置に一致している、
ことを特徴とする装置。 - 導管を連続的に形成する装置であって、
プラスチックリボンを受け入れるフォーマを有し、前記フォーマは、その周りに前記リボンを引き入れ、前記リボンをこれに沿って前進させて前記リボンの上側重なり螺旋構造を形成し、前記螺旋構造のピッチは、前記リボンの幅よりも幾分小さく、
前記装置は、第1のリボンを第1の場所で前記フォーマに送る第1の手段と、
第2のリボンを前記第1のリボンの次の場所で前記フォーマに送る第2の手段と、溶融ビードを前記第2のリボンを送る位置から見て1ターンピッチ未満のところの位置で前記フォーマに連続的に送る手段とを更に有し、
前記位置は、前記第2のリボンの後続側縁部の予想位置に一致している、
ことを特徴とする装置。 - 任意の材料をこれが前記第2のリボンの上側に重なる前に前記第1のリボンの外側に被着させる手段は設けられていない、
ことを特徴とする請求項20記載の導管の連続形成装置。 - 剥離可能な内側層を導管内部から除去する方法であって、
前記内側層を有する前記導管を長手方向スロットを備えた細長いシャフトの周りに配置する工程と、
前記シャフトの他端部のところはさておき導管が前記スロットを周囲環境から少なくとも実質的に密封するのに有効な適当なシールを前記シャフトの第1の端部に向かって形成する工程と、
吸引力を前記スロットに及ぼす工程と、
前記導管からの前記内側層の剥離を開始させる工程と、
前記内側層を前記導管から剥離した後に前記導管を前記シャフトから取り出す工程と、を有している、
ことを特徴とする導管内部からの剥離可能な内側層の除去方法。 - 前記開始工程は、前記内側層を前記シャフトの前記他端部に向かう位置で前記スロット内に押し込む工程を含み、前記押込みにより、前記シャフトと前記層との間に適当なシールが形成される、
ことを特徴とする請求項22記載の導管内部からの剥離可能な内側層の除去方法。 - 導管内からの剥離可能な内側層の除去を助ける装置であって、
長手方向スロットを備えた細長いシャフトと、
前記シャフトの第1の端部に向かって前記内側層と前記シャフトの間に適当なシールを形成する有効密封手段と、
ガスを前記スロットから吸引し、前記内側層を前記導管から剥離する手段と、を有している、
ことを特徴とする装置。
