Description
導管を連続的に製造する方法であって、
薄いプラスチックの犠牲層をオーバーラップするパターンで、前記導管を回転させ且つ前進させるフォーマの周りにつける工程と、
前記オーバーラップしている層を互いに接合しながら、前記フォーマ上で前記犠牲層を覆って導管を形成する工程と、
接合後に、前記犠牲層を前記導管の内側から除去する工程と、を備えている、
ことを特徴とする方法が提供される。
導管を連続的に形成する方法であって、
前方側縁と後方側縁とを備え、厚さが50マイクロメートル未満の少なくとも1本の薄いフィルムリボンを供給して、前記導管を回転させると共に前進させるフォーマに連続的に螺旋状に巻き付けて、リボンの各ターンの前方側縁がフォーマ上のリボンの直前のターンの後方側縁の上側に重なると共に各ターンの後方側縁が次のターンの前方側縁の下側に重なるようにする工程と、
前記ターンを上側に重ねるのに先立って、略中実の断面を有する溶融プラスチックのビードを、該ビードが前記後方側縁と前記上側に重なる前方側縁との間に位置するように、前記フォーマに直前につけられたターンの露出している後方側縁に沿ってつける工程と、を備え、
前記上側に重なる部分が前記ビードの輪郭に一致しており、前記上側に重なる前方側縁が前記ビードの縁部で、前記下側に重なるリボンに接触または実質的に接触する、
ことを特徴とする方法が提供される。

前方側縁及び後方側縁を備えた少なくとも1本の薄いプラスチックリボンを有し、
該リボンは、その表面が螺旋軸線にほぼ平行に且つその端から間隔をおいた状態で螺旋状に配置され、リボンの各ターンの前方側縁は、直前のターンの後方側縁の上側に重なり、リボンの各ターンの後方側縁は、次のターンの前方側縁の下側に重なり、
前記導管は、上側に重なっている前方側縁と後方側縁とのそれぞれの間に介在したプラスチック補強ビードを更に有し、前記上側に重なる縁部が前記ビードの縁で前記下側に重なるリボンと接触または実質的に接触している、
ことを特徴とする導管が提供される。

少なくとも1つの薄いプラスチックリボンを受けるフォーマを有し、前記フォーマは、その周りに前記リボンを引き入れ、前記リボンをこれに沿って前進させて前記リボンの螺旋構造を形成し、前記螺旋構造のピッチは、前記リボンの幅よりも幾分小さく、
前記装置は、リボンを前記フォーマ上の第1の位置で前記フォーマに送る手段と、
溶融ビードを、前記リボンを送る第1の位置から1ターンピッチ未満の第2の位置で前記フォーマに連続的に送る手段とを更に有し、
前記第2の位置は、リボンを送る前記手段によって送られるリボンの後方側縁の予想位置に一致しており、前記リボンの上側に重なる縁が、前記ビードの縁で、前記リボンの下側に重なる縁に接触または実質的に接触する、
ことを特徴とする装置が提供される。

前記装置は、第1のリボンを第1の場所で前記フォーマに送る第1の手段と、
第2のリボンを前記第1のリボンの次の場所で前記フォーマに送る第2の手段と、
溶融ビードを前記第2のリボンを送る位置から1ターンピッチ未満の位置で前記フォーマに連続的に送る手段と、を更に有し、
前記位置は、前記第2のリボンの後方側縁の予想位置に一致し、前記リボンの上側に重なる縁は、前記ビードの縁で、前記リボンの下側に重なる縁に接触または実質的に接触している、
ことを特徴とする装置が提供される。
1.ダミー層は、溶融プラスチックによって汚染されないようマンドレル上の螺旋に配置された回転ロッドを保護する。
2.犠牲層は、プロセスの安定性を高めると共に、導管壁を形成する相互オーバーラップ状態の層が互いに滑って動くのを阻止するのに役立つことがある。
3.犠牲層は、マンドレル又は回転ロッド上の鋭い縁部又は小さな突起とフィルム又はリボンとの間の保護バリヤとなる。
4.犠牲層は、薄いフィルムをマンドレルの高い動作温度から遮蔽し、フィルムの過熱の度合いを減少させる。
導管を成形する上述の方法は、1対のヒータワイヤを導管壁中へ巻回するオンラインプロセスを開示している。1対のヒータワイヤを予備成形テープ内に設け、次にこのテープを用いて上述すると共に図3に示した方法と類似した方法で導管の壁を形成することが計画される。図9a及び図9bは、1対の互いに平行なワイヤをテープの一方の縁部から距離xを置いたところに配設することにより形成されているかかるテープの断面を示している。ワイヤと縁部との間のテープの長さx分をテープの残部上に折り返して矢印32で示すように1対の互いに平行なワイヤを包囲する。次に、二次熱溶接法を用いてテープの折返し部分を結合して互いに平行なワイヤを永続的に植え込む。しかしながら、折返しが行われるときに押出しテープが溶融状態又は半溶融状態であれば、二次熱溶接法が不要である場合があることは理解されよう。この場合、溶融層の2つの領域は、折り返して互いに圧接すると、互いに結合するであろう。

- 導管であって、
前方側縁及び後方側縁を備えた少なくとも1本の薄いプラスチックリボンを有し、
該リボンは、その表面が螺旋軸線にほぼ平行に且つその端から間隔をおいた状態で螺旋状に配置され、リボンの各ターンの前方側縁は、直前のターンの後方側縁の上側に重なり、リボンの各ターンの後方側縁は、次のターンの前方側縁の下側に重なり、
前記導管は、上側に重なっている前方側縁と後方側縁とのそれぞれの間に介在したプラスチック補強ビードを更に有し、重なっているリボンは、前記プラスチック補強ビードの輪郭に一致しており、前記上側に重なる縁部が前記ビードの縁で前記下側に重なるリボンと接触または実質的に接触している、
ことを特徴とする導管。 - 前記リボンは、通気性プラスチック材料で作られている、
請求項1に記載の導管。 - 前記プラスチック補強ビードは、該ビード内に封入された1または2以上の発熱ワイヤを有している、
請求項1または2に記載の導管。 - 導管を連続的に形成する装置であって、
少なくとも1つの薄いプラスチックリボンを受けるフォーマを有し、前記フォーマは、その周りに前記リボンを引き入れ、前記リボンをこれに沿って前進させて前記リボンの螺旋構造を形成し、前記螺旋構造のピッチは、前記リボンの幅よりも幾分小さく、
前記装置は、リボンを前記フォーマ上の第1の位置で前記フォーマに送る手段と、
溶融ビードを、前記リボンを送る第1の位置から1ターンピッチ未満の第2の位置で前記フォーマに連続的に送る手段とを更に有し、
前記第2の位置は、リボンを送る前記手段によって送られるリボンの後方側縁の予想位置に一致しており、前記リボンの上側に重なる縁が、前記ビードの輪郭に一致しており、前記ビードの縁で、前記リボンの下側に重なる縁に接触または実質的に接触する、
ことを特徴とする装置。 - 導管を連続的に形成する装置であって、

前記装置は、第1のリボンを第1の場所で前記フォーマに送る第1の手段と、
第2のリボンを前記第1のリボンの次の場所で前記フォーマに送る第2の手段と、
溶融ビードを前記第2のリボンを送る位置から1ターンピッチ未満の位置で前記フォーマに連続的に送る手段と、を更に有し、
前記位置は、前記第2のリボンの後方側縁の予想位置に一致し、前記リボンの上側に重なる縁は、前記ビードの輪郭に一致しており、前記ビードの縁で、前記リボンの下側に重なる縁に接触または実質的に接触している、
ことを特徴とする装置。 - 前記第2のリボンが前記第1のリボンの上側に重なる前に、前記第1のリボンの外側に任意の材料をつける手段は設けられていない、
ことを特徴とする請求項5に記載の導管の連続形成装置。
