Description
この問題は、多数の層から成る導管壁を形成しようとする場合には特に深刻である。溶融ビードを被着させることと別の2次的溶接法又は依然として溶融状態のプラスチックとしてポリマーをフォーマに被着させることを組み合わせることは、この課題を幾分解決しているが、これら解決策では、管フォーマの手の込み具合が増し、また、非常に薄い壁では達成困難な場合がある。
1.ダミー層は、溶融プラスチックによって汚染されないようマンドレル上の螺旋に配置された回転ロッドを保護する。
2.犠牲層は、プロセスの安定性を高めると共に、導管壁を形成する相互オーバーラップ状態の層が互いに滑って動くのを阻止するのに役立つことがある。
3.犠牲層は、マンドレル又は回転ロッド上の鋭い縁部又は小さな突起とフィルム又はリボンとの間の保護バリヤとなる。
4.犠牲層は、薄いフィルムをマンドレルの高い動作温度から遮蔽し、フィルムの過熱の度合いを減少させる。
第1の好ましい実施形態について上述したのと類似した方法では、ポリプロピレンの犠牲層17をスプール16からフォーマ14にオーバーラップした螺旋状態で巻き付ける。犠牲層17をマンドレルと成形中の導管との間に設けることにより、極めて薄いフィルムをマンドレル及び高い動作温度から遮蔽することができる。
導管を成形する上述の方法は、1対のヒータワイヤを導管壁中へ巻回するオンラインプロセスを開示している。1対のヒータワイヤを予備成形テープ内に設け、次にこのテープを用いて上述すると共に図3に示した方法と類似した方法で導管の壁を形成することが計画される。図9a及び図9bは、1対の互いに平行なワイヤをテープの一方の縁部から距離xを置いたところに配設することにより形成されているかかるテープの断面を示している。ワイヤと縁部との間のテープの長さx分をテープの残部上に折り返して矢印32で示すように1対の互いに平行なワイヤを包囲する。次に、二次熱溶接法を用いてテープの折返し部分を結合して互いに平行なワイヤを永続的に植え込む。しかしながら、折返しが行われるときに押出しテープが溶融状態又は半溶融状態であれば、二次熱溶接法が不要である場合があることは理解されよう。この場合、溶融層の2つの領域は、折り返して互いに圧接すると、互いに結合するであろう。

Claims (5)
- 剥離可能な内側層を導管内部から除去する方法であって、
前記内側層を有する前記導管を、長手方向スロット及びテーパーした肩部分を備えた細長いシャフトの周りに配置する工程と、
導管をテーパーした肩部分上にスライドさせることによって、前記シャフトの一端近傍の、内側層とテーパーした肩部分の間に、前記スロットを周囲環境から少なくとも実質的に密封するのに有効な適当な第1のシールを形成する工程と、
前記シャフト内部に向かう吸引力を前記スロットに及ぼす工程と、
前記内側層の一端を前記スロットの隣に持って来ることにより、前記導管からの前記内側層の剥離を開始させる工程と、
前記内側層を前記導管から剥離した後に前記導管を前記シャフトから取り出す工程と、を有している、
ことを特徴とする導管内部からの剥離可能な内側層の除去方法。 - 前記開始工程が、前記内側層の前記一端を前記シャフトの前記スロット内に押し込む工程を含み、
該押込みにより、前記シャフトと前記層との間に適当な第2のシールが形成される、
請求項1に記載の導管内部からの剥離可能な内側層の除去方法。 - 前記適当な第2のシールの形成は、前記内側層を導管の内壁から吸引することによって、内側層の導管からの分離が導管の長さに沿って伝搬するのを生じさせる、
請求項2に記載の導管内部からの剥離可能な内側層の除去方法。 - 導管は、内側層を導管から分離させるのに追従してシャフトから取り外され、内側層は、前記吸引力によってシャフト上に保持される、
請求項3に記載の導管内部からの剥離可能な内側層の除去方法。 - 導管内からの剥離可能な内側層の除去を助ける装置であって、
長手方向スロットを備えた細長いシャフトと、
前記シャフトの一端近傍で、前記内側層と前記シャフトの間に適当なシールを形成するための、テーパーした肩部分と、
前記シャフト内部に向かう吸引力を及ぼして、ガスを前記スロットから吸引し、前記内側層を前記導管から剥離する手段と、を有している、
ことを特徴とする装置。
