- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.押し出し連続気泡熱可塑性発泡体であって、実質上気泡壁と気泡支柱の構造 をもち、約50%以上の連続気泡含量をもち、約1.5mm以下の平均気泡サイ ズをもち且つ理論容積能の約50%以上で液体を吸収可能な発泡体と液体とを接 触させることを特徴とする吸収方法。 2.発泡体が約5μm以上の当量平均孔サイズを有する請求項1の方法。 3.発泡体が約10μm以上の当量平均孔サイズを有する請求項1の方法。 4.発泡体が、その理論容積能の約70%以上を吸収できる請求項1の方法。 5.発泡体が、その理論容積能の約90%以上を吸収できる請求項1の方法。 6.熱可塑性物質が、50重量%以上のアルケニル芳香族モノマー単位を含む請 求項1の方法。 7.発泡体が、210キロパスカルの圧力に曝されるとき、その保持された液体 の10%以下を失う請求項1の方法。 8.熱可塑性発泡体がポリスチレン発泡体であり、ポリスチレンが約12500 0−約300000の重量平均分子量を有する請求項2の方法。 9.熱可塑性発泡体がポリスチレン発泡体であり、ポリスチレンが約16500 0−約200000の重量平均分子量を有する請求項2の方法。 10.全連続気泡含量が約90%以上である請求項1の方法。 11.全連続気泡含量が約95%以上である請求項1の方法。 12.発泡体が、約15μm以上の当量平均孔サイズを有する請求項1の方法。 13.発泡体が、約0.01−約1.0mmの平均気泡サイズを有する請求項1 の方法。 14.発泡体が、約0.01−約0.07mmの平均気泡サイズを有する請求項 1の方法。 15.内部気泡表面の一部又は実質的な部分が、その上に付着した界面活性剤を 有する請求項1の方法。 16.内部気泡表面の一部又は実質的な部分がスルホン化されている請求項1の 方法。 17.発泡体が、厚さが0.375インチ(0.95cm)より薄いシート発泡 体である請求項1の方法。 18.発泡体が、0.375インチ(0.95cm)以上の厚さを有する平板発 泡体である請求項1の方法。 19.発泡体の密度が約16−約250kg/m3である請求項1の方法。 20.発泡体の密度が約25−約100kg/m3である請求項1の方法。 21.発泡体が、他の二つのディメンジョンの何れか又は両方における平均気泡 サイズより約25%以上大きい平均気泡サイズを一つのディメンジョンにおいて 有する請求項1の方法。 22.発泡体が、他の二つのディメンジョンの何れか又は両方における平均気泡 サイズより約50%以上大きい平均気泡サイズを一つのディメンションにおいて 有する請求項1の方法。 23.発泡体が、約5μm以上の当量平均孔サイズを有し、その理論容積能の約 70%以上を吸収でき、約90%以上の全連続気泡含量を有し、さらに約16− 約250kg/m3の密度を有し、熱可塑性物質が、50重量%以上のアルケニ ル芳香族モノマー単位を含み、発泡体が、約0.01−約1.0mmの平均気泡 サイズを有する請求項1の方法。 24.熱可塑性発泡体がポリスチレン発泡体であり、ポリスチレンが約1250 00−約300000の重量平均分子量を有する請求項23の方法。 25.熱可塑性発泡体がポリスチレン発泡体であり、ポリスチレンが約1650 00−約200000の重量平均分子量を有する請求項23の方法。 26.発泡体が、約10μm以上の当量平均孔サイズを有し、その理論容積能の 約90%以上を吸収でき、約90%以上の全連続気泡含量を有し、さらに約25 −約100kg/m3の密度を有し、熱可塑性物質が、50重量%以上のアルケ ニル芳香族モノマー単位を含み、発泡体が、約0.01−約0.07mmの平均 気泡サイズを有する請求項1の方法。 27.熱可塑性発泡体がポリスチレン発泡体であり、ポリスチレンが約1250 00−約300000の重量平均分子量を有する請求項26の方法。 28.熱可塑性発泡体がポリスチレン発泡体であり、ポリスチレンが約1650 00−約200000の重量平均分子量を有する請求項26の方法。 29.熱可塑性物質及び発泡剤の混合物からなる膨脹可能な熱可塑性ゲルを押し 出しダイから押し出しそして膨脹させて膨脹性の押し出し物を形成し、これを膨 脹して発泡体を形成するすることからなる、約50%以上の連続気泡含量の押し 出し連続気泡熱可塑性発泡体の製造方法であって、押し出し物が押し出しダイを 出てそして他のディメンジョンの何れか又は両方における平均気泡サイズより伸 張方向のディメンジョンにおける平均気泡サイズを約25%以上大きくするのに 十分な程度に膨脹するように、押し出し物を伸張することを特徴とする押し出し 連続気泡熱可塑性発泡体の製造方法。 30.押し出し物が、押し出し方向に引っ張ることにより伸張される請求項29 の方法。 31.押し出し物が横方向に引っ張ることにより伸張される請求項29の方法。 32.押し出し物が、ダイの下流で押し出し物の相対する表面と接触する形成プ レートからの圧力により押し出し方向に伸張される請求項29の方法。 33.押し出し物が、押し出しダイの下流で相対するニップローラにより押し出 し方向に伸張される請求項29の方法。 34.押し出し物が、他のディメンジョンの何れか又は両方における平均気泡サ イズより伸張のディメンジョンにおいて約50%以上大きい平均気泡サイズを作 るのに十分な程度に伸張される請求項29の方法。 35.a)連続気泡熱可塑性発泡体を用意し、b)界面活性剤が表面に残りしか も発泡体中に実質的な距離で浸透しないように、発泡体の露出した表面に界面活 性剤を適用することからなる連続気泡熱可塑性発泡体の吸収性を増大する方法。 36.界面活性剤が溶液の形で適用され、次に乾燥されて露出された表面上に残 留物を残す請求項29の方法。 37.発泡体が熱に曝されることにより乾燥される請求項29の方法。 38.発泡体が押し出し熱可塑性発泡体である請求項29の方法。 39.食肉をその中に受け入れそして保持することのできる、トレイ及び挿入物 からなる食肉トレイであって、該挿入物が、トレイ内に配置される押し出し連続 気泡熱可塑性発泡体からなり、発泡体は、約50%以上の連続気泡含量を有し、 約1.5mm以内の平均気泡サイズであり、実質的に気泡の壁及び支柱の構造で あり、さらにその理論容積能の約50%以上で液体を吸収でき、そして0.37 5インチ(0.95cm)より薄い厚さを有する食肉トレイ。 40.発泡体が、約5μm以上の当量平均孔サイズを有し、その理論容積能の約 70%以上を吸収でき、約90%以上の全連続気泡含量を有し、さらに約16− 約250kg/m3の密度を有し、熱可塑性物質が、50重量%以上のアルケニ ル芳香族モノマー単位を含み、発泡体が、約0.01−約1.0mmの平均気泡 サイズを有する請求項39の食肉トレイ。 41.熱可塑性発泡体がポリスチレン発泡体であり、ポリスチレンが約1250 00−約300000の重量平均分子量を有する請求項39の食肉トレイ。 42.熱可塑性発泡体がポリスチレン発泡体であり、ポリスチレンが約1650 00−約200000の重量平均分子量を有する請求項40の食肉トレイ。 43.発泡体が、約10μm以上の当量平均孔サイズを有し、その理論容積能の 約90%以上を吸収でき、約90%以上の全連続気泡含量を有し、さらに約25 −約100kg/m3の密度を有し、熱可塑性物質が、50重量%以上のアルケ ニル芳香族モノマー単位を含み、発泡体が、約0.01−約0.07mmの平均 気泡サイズを有する請求項40の食肉トレイ。 44.熱可塑性発泡体がポリスチレン発泡体であり、ポリスチレンが約1250 00−約300000の重量平均分子量を有する請求項43の食肉トレイ。 45.熱可塑性発泡体がポリスチレン発泡体であり、ポリスチレンが約1650 00−約200000の重量平均分子量を有する請求項43の食肉トレイ。 46.たわみ性のシート発泡体からなる身体の使用に適したダイアパーであって 、発泡体が、約50%以上の連続気泡含量を有し、約1.5mm以内の平均気泡サ イズであり、実質的に気泡の壁及び支柱の構造であり、さらにその理論容積能の 約50%以上で液体を吸収できるダイアパー。
