- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.A)a)バレルの内側に沿った複数個の連続的に接続されたゾーン、該ゾ ーンを貫通するバレルの内側に沿った少なくとも1個のスクリュー軸及びこの軸 を回転させる手段を有する円筒形バレル; b)約1000〜約3000psigの圧力下で、溶融熱可塑性ポリマーとガスとを混合す ることによって混合物を生成する手段を有する、バレルの第一混合ゾーンにおけ る溶融熱可塑性ポリマー入口及びガス注入ポート; c)圧力低下ゾーンを通って脱泡ゾーンまでの混合物の流れを起こさせる手段 ; d)大気より低い圧力に維持することができ、そしてポリマーからのガスを除 去することができる真空ガスベントを有し、脱泡したポリマーを第二混合ゾーン に送る脱泡ゾーン; e)入口ポートを有し、ポリマーを混合し、バレルの出口まで送ることができ る、第二混合ゾーン; f)ポリマーを成型装置にポンプ輸送する、バレルの出口におけるポンプ輸送 手段 を含んでなる押出機、並びに B)ポンプ輸送手段から溶融ポリマーを連続的に受け取り、このポリマーから 成型物品を形成させる、ポンプ輸送手段とポリマー流れ連通状態にある少なくと も1個の成型装置 からなる成型物品の製造装置。 2.ポンプ輸送手段が、バレルの出目の設けられたギャーポンプを含む、請求 の範囲第1項に記載の装置。 3.ポンプ輸送手段と各成型装置との間に配置された流れ制御弁 をさらに含む請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置。 4.ポンプ輸送手段から溶融ポリマーを連続的に受け取って、このポリマーか ら成型物品を形成させるための、ポンプ輸送手段とポリマー流れ連通状態にある 複数個の成型装置からなる請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 5.各成型装置が、金型、ポンプ輸送手段から溶融ポリマーを受け取るアキュ ームレータリザーバー及び溶融ポリマーをアキュームレータリザーバーから金型 に射出するラムを含んでなる請求の範囲第1項に記載の方法。 6.アキュームレータリザーバーと金型との間に配置された流れ制御弁を更に 含んでなる請求の範囲第5項に記載の装置。 7.ポンプ輸送手段から溶融ポリマーを連続的に受け取って、このポリマーか ら成型物品を形成させるための、バレルの出口に設けられたギャーポンプからな るポンプ輸送手段とポリマー流れ連通状態にある複数個の成型装置、複数個の流 れ制御弁、即ちポンプ輸送手段と各成型装置との間に配置された一つの流れ制御 弁、及びアキュームレータリザーバーと金型との間に配置された流れ制御弁を含 んでなり、各成型装置が、金型、ポンプ輸送手段から溶融ポリマーを受け取るア キュームレータリザーバー、溶融ポリマーをアキュームレータリザーバーから金 型に射出するラムからなる、請求の範囲第1項に記載の装置。 8.a)ポリエステルホモポリマー又はコポリマー前駆体を、反応器内で、溶 融ポリエステルホモポリマー又はコポリマーの流れを製造するために十分な条件 下で反応させること、 b)溶融ポリエステルの流れを、このポリエステルに対して実質的に不活性で あるガスの流れと、約1000〜約3000psigの圧力下で混合し、それによって混合物 を形成させること、 c)この混合物の圧力を大気圧より低い圧力まで低下させ、それによってこの 混合物を発泡させ、その後、真空の手段によって混合物中のガスをポリエステル から分離すること、 d)脱泡したポリエステルをアセトアルデヒド低減剤とブレンドして、ブレン ドを形成させること、 e)固体成型物品を形成させる前にポリエステルを固化させることなく、この ブレンドから固体成型物品を形成させる ことを含んでなる、成型ポリエステル物品の連続製造方法。 9.A)ポリエステルホモポリマー又はコポリマー前駆体を、反応器内で、溶 融ポリエステルホモポリマー又はコポリマーの流れを製造するのに十分な条件下 で反応させること、 B)a)バレルの内側に沿った複数個の連続的に接続されたゾーン、該ゾーン を貫通するバレルの内側に沿った少なくとも1個のスクリュー軸及びこの軸を回 転させる手段を有する円筒形バレル; b)約1000〜約3000psigの圧力下で、溶融熱可塑性ポリマーとガスとを混合す ることによって混合物を生成する手段を有する、バレルの第一混合ゾーンにおけ る溶融熱可塑性ポリマー入口及びガス注入ポート; c)圧力低下ゾーンを通って脱泡ゾーンまでの混合物の流れを起こさせる手段 ; d)大気より低い圧力に維持することができ、そしてポリマーからのガスを除 去することができる真空ガスベントを有し、脱泡したポリマーを第二混合ゾーン に送る脱泡ゾーン; e)入口ポートを有し、ポリマーを混合し、バレルの出口まで送ることができ る、第二混合ゾーン; f)ポリマーを成型装置にポンプ輸送する、バレルの出口におけるポンプ輸送 手段 からなる押出機を用意すること、 C)溶融ポリエステルの流れを、押出機の中に入れる前にポリエステルを固化 させることなく、押出機の第一混合ゾーンの中に連続的に流し、溶融ポリエステ ルの流れを、このポリエステルに対して実質的に不活性であるガスの注入された 流れと混合することによって約1000〜約3000psigの圧力下で混合物を形成させる こと、 D)この混合物を圧力低下ゾーンを通して、脱泡ゾーンまで流すこと、 E)この混合物を大気圧より低い圧力に維持された脱泡ゾーン内で脱泡し、真 空ガスベント手段によってポリマーからガスを除去すること、 F)脱泡したポリマーを、第二混合ゾーン内でアセトアルデヒド低減剤と混合 すること、 G)このポリマーをバレルの出口まで輸送し、このポリマーをバレルから成型 装置までポンプ輸送すること、並びに H)このポリマーから成型物品を連続的に形成させる ことを含んでなる、成型ポリエステル物品の連続製造方法。 10.ポンプ輸送手段が、バレルの出口に設けられたギャーポンプからなる請求 の範囲第9項に記載の方法。 11.ポンプ輸送手段と各成型装置との間に配置された流れ制御弁を更に含む請 求の範囲第9項に記載の方法。 12.ポンプ輸送手段から溶融ポリマーを連続的に受け取って、このポリマーか ら成型物品を形成させるための、ポンプ輸送手段とポリマー流れ連通状態にある 複数個の成型装置を含んでなる請求の範囲第9項に記載の方法。 13.各成型装置が、金型、ポンプ輸送手段から溶融ポリマーを受け取るアキュ ームレータリザーバー及び溶融ポリマーをアキューム レータリザーバーから金型に射出するラムを含んでなる請求の範囲第9項に記載 の方法。 14.アキュームレータリザーバーと金型との間に配置された流れ制御弁を更に 含む請求の範囲第13項に記載の方法。 15.ポンプ輸送手段から溶融ポリマーを連続的に受け取って、このポリマーか ら成型物品を形成させるための、バレルの出口に設けられたギャーポンプからな るポンプ輸送手段とポリマー流れ連通状態にある複数個の成型装置、複数個の流 れ制御弁、即ちポンプ輸送手段と各成型装置との間に配置された一つの流れ制御 弁及びアキュームレータリザーバーと金型との間に配置された流れ制御弁からな り、前記各成型装置が、金型、ポンプ輸送手段から溶融ポリマーを受け取るアキ ュームレータリザーバー、溶融ポリマーをアキュームレータリザーバーから金型 に射出するラムからなる請求の範囲第9項に記載の方法。 16.工程(E)の減圧が、約100mmHgより低い請求の範囲第9項に記載の方法 。 17.工程(E)から得られる脱泡したポリマーが、不活性ガス及びアセトアル デヒドを実質的に含有しない請求の範囲第9項に記載の方法。 18.アセトアルデヒド低減剤が、ポリアミド、ポリエステルアミド、エチレン ジアミン四酢酸、アルコキシル化ポリオール、ビス(4−β−ヒドロキシエトキ シフェニル)スルホン、ゼオライト化合物、5−ヒドロキシイソフタル酸、ポリ (エチレンイソフタレート)、超臨界二酸化炭素及びプロトン酸触媒からなる群 から選択される請求の範囲第9項に記載の方法。 19.成型物品が、ポリマーを、一度に1個であるように順次に各成型装置に輸 送し、その間に他方の成型装置へのポリマーは、流れ 制御弁によって遮断されている請求の範囲第15項に記載の方法。 20.溶融ポリエステルを、ポリエステルの融点より約20℃以下ほど高い温度で 維持する請求の範囲第9項に記載の方法。 21.形成された成型物品が、物品の重量基準で約5ppm以下のアセトアルデヒ ド濃度を有する請求の範囲第9項に記載の方法。
