- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.有機酸もしくはその塩、アルコール、水素およびSCPから成る群から選択 される生成物の生産方法であって、廃ガス系を前記生成物に転化して前記生成物 を含有する培地を生産することが可能な嫌気性細菌を用いてバイオリアクター中 の水性栄養培地中で一酸化炭素および水もしくは二酸化炭素および水素を含有す る廃ガスを醗酵させること;前記バイオリアクターから生成物を含有する前記培 地の一部を連続的に取り出すこと;そしてそれから生成物を回収すること、を含 んで成る方法。 2.廃ガスが一酸化炭素および水を含有する、請求の範囲1に記載の方法。 3.廃ガスが二酸化炭素および水素を含有する、請求の範囲1に記載の方法。 4.前記廃ガスが工業的過程により生じられる、請求の範囲1〜3のいずれかに 記載の方法。 5.工業的過程が、カーボンブラック、アンモニア、メタノールもしくはコーク スの製造であるか、または石油精製である、請求の範囲4に記載の方法。 6.前記細菌が、一酸化炭素もしくは二酸化炭素の気体基質の嫌気性醗酵により 有機酸もしくはアルコールを産生する種のものである、請求の範囲1に記載の方 法。 7.前記細菌が、一酸化炭素もしくは二酸化炭素の気体基質の嫌気性醗酵により 水素を産生する種のものである、請求の範囲1に記載の方法。 8.前記細菌が、一酸化炭素もしくは二酸化炭素の気体基質の嫌気性醗酵により 単一細胞タンパク質を産生する種のものである、請求の範囲1 に記載の方法。 9.前記生成物が、酢酸、プロピオン酸、酪酸、メタノール、エタノール、プロ パノール、n−ブタノール、水素、単一細胞タンパク質もしくは有機酸の塩であ る、請求の範囲1〜8のいずれかに記載の方法。 10.前記有機酸の塩が酢酸の塩である、請求の範囲9に記載の方法。 11.前記酢酸の塩が酢酸マグネシウムカルシウムもしくは酢酸カリウムである 、請求の範囲10に記載の方法。 12.前記バイオリアクターが、連続攪拌タンク反応器、固定化微生物細胞バイ オリアクター、細流床バイオリアクター、バブルカラムバイオリアクターもしく はガスリフトバイオリアクターである、請求の範囲1〜11のいずれかに記載の 方法。 13.前記バイオリアクターが1大気圧以上の圧で維持される、請求の範囲1〜 12のいずれかに記載の方法。 14.前記回収段階が、生成物を含有する前記取り出された培地を細胞分離ユニ ットを通過させること、細菌をバイオリアクターに戻して高細菌濃度を維持する こと、そして細菌を含まない生成物を含有する流を生じさせることにより前記生 成物および前記細菌を分離することを包含する、請求の範囲1〜13のいずれか に記載の方法。 15.前記分離が、遠心分離、中空ファイバー膜濾過、沈降もしくは限外濾過に より成し遂げられる、請求の範囲14に引用されるような方法。 16.方法がいかなる細胞分離の非存在下でも実施される、請求の範囲14に引 用されるような方法。 17.前記再生物の前記回収が、(a)生成物を含有する前記取り出された培地 を向流混合容器中で所望の生成物に対する高親和性を有する水 と不混和性の溶媒と接触させること、そしてその後(b)場合によっては(a) の生成物を蒸留して溶媒および生成物を回収すること、により成し遂げられる、 請求の範囲1〜13のいずれかに記載の方法。 18.前記生成物の前記回収が蒸留により達成される、請求の範囲1〜13のい ずれかに記載の方法。 19.前記嫌気性細菌が、アセトバクテリウム キブイ(Acetobacterium kivui) 、A.ウーディイ(A.woodii)、ブチリバクテリウム メチロトロフィクム(Btyr ibacterium methylotrophicum)、クロストリジウムアセチクム(Clostridium ace ticum)、C.アセトブチリクム(C.acetobutylicum)、C.フォルモアセチクム( C.formoaceticum)、C.クルイベリ(C.kluyveri)、C.テルモアセチクム(C. thermoaceticum)、C.テルモセルム(C.thermocellum)、C.テルモヒドロスル フリクム(C.thermohydrosulfuricum)、C.テルモサッカロリチクム(C.thermo saccharolyticum)、ユーバクテリウム リモスム(Eubacterium limosum)、クロ ストリジウム ルジュングダーリイ(Clostridium ljungdahlii)PETC、ペプ トストレプトコックカス プロダクツス(Peptostreptococcus productus)、ロド スピリルム ルブルム(Rhodospirillumrubrum)もしくはロドシュードモナス ゲ ラチノサ(Rhodopseudomonas gelatinosa)である、請求の範囲1〜18のいずれ かに記載の方法。 20.酸嫌気性細菌がC.ルジュングダーリイ(C.ljungdahlii)ERI−2もし くはB.スミトリイ(B.smithlii)ERI−H2である、請求の範囲1〜18の いずれかに記載の方法。 21.前記嫌気性細菌が混合培養物である、請求の範囲1〜20のいずれかで引 用されるような方法。 22.廃ガス流がカーボンブラックを作成するための工業的過程から生じられ、 かつ、生成物が酢酸もしくはその塩である、請求の範囲1〜21のいずれかに記 載の方法。 23.微生物クロストリジウム ルジュングダーリイ(Clostridium ljungdahli i)単離物ERI2の生物学的に純粋な培養物。 24.微生物バチルス スミトリイ(Bacillus smithlii)株ERI−H2の生物 学的に純粋な培養物。 25.クロストリジウム ルジュングダーリイ(Clostridium ljungdahlii)単離 物ERI2の単離された培養物。 26.クロストリジウム ルジュングダーリイ(Clostridium ljungdahlii)単離 物ERI2、ATCC55380。 27.単離された微生物バチルス スミトリイ(Bacillus smithlii)株ERI− H2。 28.バチルス スミトリイ(Bacillus smithlii)株ERI−H2、ATCC5 5404。 29.クロストリジウム ルジュングダーリイ(Clostridium ljungdahlii)単離 物ERI2、ATCC55380を含有する混合培養物。 30.バチルス スミトリイ(Bacillus smithlii)株ERI−H2、ATCC5 5404を含有する混合培養物。 31.請求の範囲1〜22の方法のいずれかにより生産される生成物。
