Abstract

L'invenzione riguarda un procedimento perfezionato per la preparazione dell'acido 2,2-dimetil-5-(2,5-dimetilfenossi) pentenoico della formula I (FORMULA I) che comprende il fatto di far reagire un estere della formula generale (x) (FORMULA X) in cui x rappresenta alogeno e Z sta per un gruppo C1-8 alchilene a catena diritta o ramificata facoltativamente sostituito da uno o due gruppi 2,2-dimetil-5-alopentanoliossi, in cui ello rappresenta cloro o bromo e nel quale gruppo alchilene uno o due gruppi metilene possono essere facoltativamente sostituiti o da ateroatomi oppure da un gruppo eterociclico bivalente, con un sale alcalino del 2,5-dimetilfenolo della formula II (FORMULA II) oppure con un estere di quest'ultimo formato con un acido atranoico inferiore, ed idrolizzare l'estere arilossisostituito della formula generale X1 così ottenuto (FORMULA XI) Inoltre l'invenzione riguarda composti intermedi della formula generale X in cui X e Z sono come indicato sopra nonché un procedimento per la loro preparazione.
