Genel formül (R)-(I) ve mutfak konfigürasyonu (R) olan bilesiklerin (ki buradaki M,W,Q veQ1 ve tarifnamade tarif edildigi gibidir), mutlak konfigürasyonu (s) olan bilesiklerden baslanarak, ilgili esterlenmis türevlerin asitler varliginda hidrolize edilmesi suretiyle hazirlanmasi için yeni, daha etkili veya yüksek düzeyde stereospesifik bir islem tarif edilmektedir. Burada tarif edilen islemle elde edilen (R)(I) ürünleri, enantiyomerik olarak saf ileçlarin üretiminde faydali siral sintonlardir. (R)-karnitinin preparasyonu da verilmistir.
