Abstract

964,464. Reservoir pens. PARKER PEN CO. Dec. 21, 1962 [Dec. 21, 1961], No. 48379/62. Heading B6P. A ball-point pen has a barrel formed of top and bottom parts 12, 12a, attached by screw threads and a writing cartridge 13 including a writing tip 14. The writing tip 14 is slidably mounted within the part 12a for projection by actuation of a pocket clip 17, while the cartridge is detachably mounted in the part 12. The ball-point 15 is supplied with ink through a conduit 52 extending through a feed tube 55, the cartridge 13 and tip 14 being held together by internal flanges 60 and 61, Fig. 3 (not shown). A new cartridge is protected by a tightly fitted cover 70 which when removed draws ink along the tube 55, Fig. 2, by suction.
