Abstract

1,039,667. Reservoir marking instruments. CONWAY STEWART & CO. Ltd. May 14, 1965 [July 15, 1964], No. 29088/64. Heading B6P. In a replaceable cartridge type felt nib pen, a plug 11 is held intermediate two barrel portions 3 and 4 against axial movement. The nose portion of the plug 11 pierces the nozzle of the cartridge 9 when a cap 5 is screwed into the rear of the barrel portion 3. The forward barrel portion 4 houses a filling of fibrous or felted material 10 which provides capillary feed channels from the cartridge via the channel 14 in the plug 11 to the nib 8 in contact therewith.
