962,258. Plastics bags. BRITISH VISQUEEN Ltd. April 25, 1962 [May 1, 1961], No. 15648/61. Heading B8K. A bag formed of plastics film has openings at both ends to reduce the danger that a child may suffocate itself with the bag; at least one of the openings has a closure flap. The bag may be formed from continuous strips of film, suitably folded and transversely welded and cut or torn between the bag units. The end closures may comprise a single end flap 2 (Fig. 2) which can be folded either inside the bag or over the opposite wall 4, or two closure flaps may be provided to fold as shown in Fig. 7 or in Fig. 8. The flaps may be seamed at their edges to the bag walls to form flip-closures. The bag may have gussets.
