Abstract

974,838. Paper and like bags. DU PONT OF CANADA Ltd. May 8, 1961 [May 10, 1960], No. 16564/61. Heading B8K. A plastics bag having gusseted sides has an opening 24 at the top and strengthened corners formed by folding the material as shown and heat sealing along the lines 20, 21 and 23. The bottom seam is of similar construction, the heat seals 21 extending across the whole width of the bag to form a closed bottom. The pockets formed in the corners act as handholes. The opening can be closed by heat sealing or sewing after filling.
