Abstract

944,447. Reclosable cartons; packages. ARMOUR & CO. Oct. 13, 1961 [Oct. 13, 1960], No. 36904/61. -Headings B8C and B8P. A carton comprises an outer part with lid 11, an inner liner 12 with top part 13 and an inner flexible bag 15. To erect the carton the flexible bag is placed inside the liner and both are then placed inside the outer carton, top part 13 is then pushed down to grip the bag between its edge 38 the top 37 of wall 33 and wall 20 of the outer carton. Flap 23 of lid 11 is then placed between walls 18 and 35 of the outer carton and liner respectively so that the top part 16 of the bag is effectively gripped between lid 11 and the top 13 of the liner. Lid 11 may be joined to the outer side walls by gusset folds. The outer carton and liner are made of cardboard or the like and the flexible bag of polythene or a similar waterproof substance.
