Abstract

825,257. Paper bags. HAMMER, S. Nov. 25, 1957 [Dec. 5, 1956], No. 36719/57. Class 94(2). A bag 1 made of thermoplastic sheet material has the opposed walls 7 at the mouth folded inwardly on themselves and welded along a seam 5 to provide a pocket around the mouth for a draw-string 3, the walls are again folded on themselves reversely so that the free ends extend upwardly beyond the mouth, and the two walls are sealed together at 8 by welding. A line of weakening is provided in the walls 7 just below the seam 8 to facilitate the opening of the bag.
