Abstract

962,181. Cartons. CHAMBON Ltd. April 19, 1963 [April 30, 1962], No. 16404/62. Heading B8P. A carton, preferably made from a single blank and particularly intended for holding electric light bulbs, comprises inter-hinged panels 6-9 of which alternate panels 7, 9 have substantially isosceles triangular cut-outs 12, 13 and 14, 15, respectively, formed therein, which cut-outs have their bases on fold lines 3-5 and 10. A bellows-like cushioning and supporting structure for the article is formed by pushing inwardly of the erected carton panels 40-47, transversely delimited by fold lines 16-18. Panels 45 and 47 which overlap parts of panels 41 and 43 may be glued or stapled thereto in these areas or alternatively the structure is maintained by entering tongues 37, 38 in slots 35, 36, respectively. The carton is closed after insertion of the article by folding inwardly interconnected flaps 29, 30 and 50, 51.
