Abstract

915,992. Bottle &c. carriers. MEAD CORPORATION. April 8, 1960 [Feb. 10, 1960], No. 12600/60. Class 18. A bottle carrier formed from a cardboard blank comprises a handle 29 having pivoted thereto partition strips 32, 40, 41, 42 normal to the handle forming shallow separating means between the bottles and separate U-shaped cushioning panels 54 inserted between the partition strips. The carrier is formed from the blank shown in Fig. 9 by folding down the handle flap 43, folding the blank along the line 9, 7, the partitioning strips swinging inwardly, and the handle parts becoming superimposed. Panels 19, 20, are then folded along lines 22, 23, the blank folded along lines 28, 29 and the bottom panel 12 secured to lap panel 15. The blank may then be erected to the form shown in Fig. 1 and the separate cushioning panel, Fig. 8, inserted between the partitioning strips and secured by tabs 60 which interlock with tabs 45 on the handle flap 43 and notches 66 interlocking with the partition strips.
