Abstract

1316000 Carton carrier UNILEVER Ltd 20 Nov 1970 [21 Nov 1969] 55253/70 Heading B8C and B8P A carrier for a plurality of containers e.g. yoghurt tubs comprises a cardboard or paperboard blank which is divided by fold lines 1 into a central panel 2 and two side panels 3, 4 and is provided with pairs of incisions 5 defining container stations therebetween. The incisions 5 include curved portions 8 located in the central panel 2 and ends 6 which are curved, located in the side panels 3, 4 and interconnected by fold lines 7. The incisions 5 are further interconnected by fold lines 9 so that when the carrier is folded as shown in Fig. 2 the containers may be supported on base members 11 and contained within side members 10. To facilitate stacking of the container filled carriers (Fig. 5), the central panel 2 may be cut away along the curved portions 8 to form base members 11 which are smaller than the apertures in the central panel 2 (Figs. 3, 4). The carrier may accommodate containers which have circular or square cross-sections and are tapered from top to bottom or tapered vice-versa or may accommodate cylindrical containers.
