Abstract
933,085. Soot blowers. PRVNI BRNENSKA STROJIRNA, ZAVODY KLEMENTA GOTTWALDA, NARODNI PODNIK. Dec. 14, 1961, No. 44937/61. Class 99(2). A blower unit for removing deposits on the outer heating surfaces of steam boilers comprises a valve member 3 having three connecting elements which are provided with flanges 13, 14 and 19 for connection to a feed member 15 for the cleaning or blast medium, a discharge member 16 for the wet blast medium, and to a flange 20 of a connecting member, of a piston rod pipe 17 through which the dry blast medium flows to the blast pipe 9. As shown, the pipe 17 has a seating for a valve 18 which is held in the open or closed position by the pressure of the blast medium and is actuated by a lever 8 in dependence upon the position of the pipe 9. The latter is moved axially by a screw spindle 5 driven through a gearbox 2 having an electric or manual drive.
