Abstract
<PICT:0373484/III/1> Apparatus for removing paint, distemper, &c. from walls and other surfaces comprises a pipe 9 adapted to be connected to a hose, not shown, which directs on to the surface steam conveyed from a boiler 3 heated by means of a blowlamp 4, the fuel for which is contained in a chamber 6 provided with an air pump 15 for forcing p the fuel through the pipe 16 to the blowlamp. A substantial portion of the cylinder of the pump projects into the chamber 6, which is provided with a valve 21 for releasing the pressure within the chamber. The lamp is enclosed in a chamber 5 provided with a hinged door 5a. The boiler 3 is provided with a drain cock 13. Specification 13257/01, [Class 138, Washing], is referred to.
