Abstract

415,363. Cleaning walls &c. SANDERSON & SONS, Ltd., A., and LEE, E. C., 52, Berners Street, London. May 25, 1934, No. 15656. [Class 138 (i).] Apparatus for removing paper, paint, &c. from walls, ceilings, or other surfaces, comprising a horizontal boiler 4 for supplying steam to spray the walls, &c., a blow-lamp 5 and a vessel 7 containing fuel for the lamp, is characterized in that a pressure gauge 36 and a relief valve 37 are mounted on a fitment 35 secured to the vessel 7, and a strainer 33 is provided on the lower end of the fuel pipe 30<a>, the portion of which leading to a needle valve 32 is free from joints. Pressure in the vessel 7 is provided by an air pump 25. The boiler supplies steam to a pipe 10 which is adapted to be connected by a hose to a concentrator for directing the steam against the surface under treatment.
