Strainers h a v i n g sheet straining-materials; strainers fitted at end of pipes.-A strainer, specially adapted for attachment to the end of the suction hose pipe of a steam wagon or fireengine, comprises a perforated cylindrical or like outer casing a having a connecting neck c and closed at at the lower end by a cover d on which are mounted a number of concentric perforated cylinders f, h, the perforations in which are smaller as the centre is approached.
